1965 Ford F250 Camper Special. California truck. Can not verify but the 56K on the odometer appears to be the original mileage based on the original date coded FOMOCO front and Dana rear drums. Also had the original "produced for Ford" GE headlamps when I got it. (Will be provided with truck) You be the judge on the mileage.

-- Rust free, in all the right area, cab mounts, corners, door pillars floorboards etc, with the following exceptions:
-- Right front door front bottom (pictured)
  -- Front of hood.
-- Surface rust on tool box

Underside of floorboards are still in primer under the dust.

Original 352, runs like a watch, new Holley 2V Carb, original carb will be included. Original California spec oil bath air cleaner.  Cruise-O-Matic (MX) transmission shifts great. No leaks, brakes have firm pedal, stops straight. Tracks down the road fine, no leaks, no smoke, no oil consumption. Front end tight, all joints greased. 4:10 Dana non locker.

Nice heavy duty seat, no rips, headliner out, radio, cig lighter, wipers, gas, ammeter, oil pressure, temp gauge, emergency flashers, heater all work, except the windshield washers and horn. Original blue floor mat is in excellent condition with minimal wear.

Bed excellent condition, had a camper so no large dents, just needs paint. Rest of paint on truck fair but presentable as seen in the photos. Had an aux tank added many years ago.

New Wheels/Tires, had split rims. Have those if you want them LOL.

All glass including windshield original Car-Lite. No cracks or chips.

Excellent driver condition, no show truck, but pretty much a get into it and go truck. Pics do most of the description.

Pick up at Flat Rock, Mi South of Detroit. Will work with the shipper.

Look at the pics, what you see is what it is and please call with questions - 734-735-2086.

On Sep-21-13 at 19:27:36 PDT, seller added the following information:

A few questions have been asked about the truck...Manual steering, manual brakes, good spare mounted under the bed. Exhaust is solid from engine to tail pipe. The body does have scratches, a minor dent here and there. Park detent is worn, needs shift bowl removed and detent replaced. Detent is available for about $12.00. All I do is shift truck to neutral and use the parking brake just like a manual trans truck.

On Sep-21-13 at 19:35:42 PDT, seller added the following information:

Aux gas tank still there but not operable as the filler hose has a hole in it. The truck runs off the in cab tank.

The radiator support is rock solid as this was a California desert truck for most of its days.

NHTSA closes Ford F-150 EcoBoost acceleration probe

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Typically when we report on the findings of an investigation from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, it's because the government body has discovered a safety issue and prescribed a recall. In this case, however, NHTSA has closed an investigation into a reported performance deficit without ever getting to the recall stage.
The issue revolves around the Ford F-150 - specifically those equipped with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine - of which some 360,000 were built in the 2011, 2012 and 2013 model years. After receiving an initial 95 complaints, NHTSA opened an investigation last May - almost a year ago - into the reported issue of reduced engine power under hard acceleration. The agency has since received a total of 525 such complaints, and Ford itself reported receiving over 4,000.
Together, NHTSA and Ford determined that the problem resulted from cylinders misfiring, an issue itself stemming from water getting into the charge air cooler (CAC) mated to the turbochargers. In particularly humid or rainy conditions, water was found to get into the CAC, causing some of the cylinders to misfire, which in turn triggered the ECU to disable those cylinders in order to protect the catalytic converter from damage.

2016 Ford Police Interceptor Utility is ready to tackle Chicago's mean streets

Wed, Feb 11 2015

As is the way of things, when a civilian vehicle gets a significant update, it's only a matter of time before its police counterpart gets similar upgrades. In the case of the Ford Police Interceptor Utility, it's debuting with the same visual updates as the Explorer on which it's based, at this week's 2015 Chicago Auto Show. Like the civilian-market Explorer, the PI Utility is available with a standard 3.7-liter V6 that pumps out 304 horsepower and 279 pound-feet of torque. The higher-caliber option is the tried and true 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, complete with 365 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. The standard Explorer's optional 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder, meanwhile, won't be offered to the boys in blue. Regardless of engine, the Utility enjoys standard all-wheel-drive, as well as a six-speed automatic transmission. The tranny's default setting is primarily for fuel sipping, although if it detects more aggressive inputs – based on brake line pressure, deceleration and lateral acceleration rates – it switches over to Pursuit Mode, offering officers snappier upshifts and more aggressive downshifts. The PI Utility's other cool, new system is called Surveillance Mode. To protect officers from sneak attacks, Surveillance Mode warns them when someone approaches the rear the car, raising all four windows and locking the doors. While Ford says the system has "intermittent fault filter technology" to prevent "erroneous changes in sensor signals," we're betting it won't be long before veteran officers uncover some way to prank rookies with the tech. Beyond these new systems, this is the same Utility that officers know and love, only with a significant facelift reminiscent of what's found on the civilian model, which debuted at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The new grille has a positive impact on cooling performance, Ford claims, while a new headlight setup accommodates the high-beam-based "wig-wag" lights. The new look has also allowed Ford to offer police departments additional customized lighting options, for that special touch. Inside, a new steering wheel and center console should make officers' lives easier, as will the new (and requested) liftgate release button, found in the overhead console. Check out the first images of the new Police Interceptor Utility (and, sporty drivers, memorize that headlight pattern) up above. Be sure to check back for additional live images once we check out Ford's latest cop car, at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
