THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!!

THE HIGHEST BIDDER WILL WIN THIS, NO MATTER WHAT!!!!

Up for sale is my 2001 Ford F250 Super Duty Crew Cab Lariat 5.4 V8 4x4. It starts, runs and drives amazing. It gets looks and compliments everywhere you go. The truck does not leak anything. This truck is loaded with options including power heated leather seats, power windows, power locks, cruise control, fog lights, turn signals in mirrors, power heated mirrors, air conditioning which blows cold, and much more!

This truck is huge and sits on 38" X 15.5" Nitto Mud Grappler Extreme Terrain tires mounted on very nice looking 20" rims. The tires alone retail for OVER $600 EACH!  The tires still have decent tread yet, but are pretty weather checked.  Perfectly useable as is yet, just wanted to make you aware.  It has about 6" - 8" BDS lift.  The front suspension is actually 10 heavy duty leaf springs from a Ford 1-ton truck, which gives it the added lift it needs to clear the monster tires.  The tires still rub slightly on the leaf springs when the wheel is turned full left or full right, though.  The truck also has the factory remote keyless entry along with a Viper security system with remote start. This one can start the truck from a long ways away! It has gas shocks, a nice front bumper / brush guard with KC driving lights mounted to it, 5 running lights on top of the cab, chrome running boards, dual exhaust which sounds amazing, heavy duty axles front and rear, lock-out hubs, brake controller, an aftermarket cd player, a new steering gearbox with lifetime warranty, high flow air filter, bed liner, receiver hitch and much more!

The truck bed is dented and dinged up quite a bit. The rear window is also missing. Right now there is automotive collision wrap covering the rear window. Safelite will install a new window for only $250, parts & labor. I figured i would leave it as is and the new owner can decide what kind of window they want; sliding, full, tinted, etc. The box is only held on by 4 or 5 bolts from the factory, so if you can find a decent bed from a junkyard or somewhere, it also would be a very easy and cheap fix. I have been driving the truck as is and it doesn't affect anything. The truck is still perfectly useable and driveable as it is.  I still have the tailgate, and put it in the rear seat area for the new owner.  This truck did have the info center, but it was taken out.  There is still a spot to put one back in, and all the wiring appears to still be there.  There is a rip / tear in the drivers deat in the typical bolster spot which you can see in the pictures.  The rear seats are also pretty scuffed up on the surface.  The air bag light is on, but im not sure why.  Sometimes the passenger door ajar light comes on, so the interior lights always stayed on, so i removed the bulbs.  The truck is not in perfect condition by any means, but needs nothing mechanically.  Overall, this truck is a great mud / work / play truck that is ready to drive and take you where no one else will dare to follow!

Ford acquires Livio to bolster connectivity biz

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

Ford Motor Company has announced the acquisition of Livio, a Ferndale, MI-based software development company best known for aftermarket in-car connectivity devices, but also as a supplier of technology for proprietary systems for automakers. Livio, co-founded by Sigal and Massimo Baldini, will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Global Technologies.
"With the additional expertise Livio provides us, Ford intends to continue to lead the next generation of in-car connectivity with technology advancements that give consumers more options to access their devices on the go," said Paul Mascarenas, chief technical officer and vice president, Ford Research and Innovation, in a statement.
Ford is clearly trying to beef up its in-house tech capability around telematics and device connectivity. While the Blue Oval has been a leader in these areas with SYNC and MyFord Touch in terms of getting the systems into as many cars as possible, the execution of the applications have been criticized for glitches.

U.S. auto sales in April expected to drop despite big discounts

Thu, Apr 26 2018

DETROIT — U.S. auto sales in April likely fell nearly 8 percent from the same month in 2017 despite big discounts for consumers, industry consultants J.D. Power and LMC Automotive said on Thursday. For much of the past two years, the discounts offered by automakers have remained at levels that industry analysts say are unsustainable and unhealthy in the long term. April U.S. new vehicle sales will likely be about 1.31 million units, down from 1.42 million units a year earlier, the consultancies said. The forecast was based on the first 17 selling days of April. Automakers, including Ford and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, will release April U.S. sales results on May 1. Earlier this month, No. 1 U.S. automaker General Motors said it will stop reporting monthly U.S. sales because the 30-day snapshot does not accurately reflect the market. GM will instead issue quarterly sales reports. U.S. new vehicle sales fell 2 percent in 2017 to 17.23 million units after hitting a record high in 2016. Sales are expected to drop further in 2018 as interest rates rise and more late-model used cars return to dealer lots to compete with new ones. LMC expects full-year 2018 U.S. new vehicle sales to come in at around 17 million units. "Uncertainty and unfavorable factors appear to be mounting for autos, including a volatile stock market, rising interest rates, rising oil prices and potential trade roadblocks," Jeff Schuster, LMC's head of global vehicle forecasts, said in a statement. The seasonally adjusted annualized rate of sales for April will be 16.6 million vehicles, down more than 2 percent from 17 million units in April 2017, the consultancies said. Retail sales to consumers, excluding lower-margin fleet sales to rental agencies, businesses and government, were set to decline about 9 percent in April. The level of consumer discounts, which can erode profit margins and undercut resale values, "remains the larger concern," the consultancies said. The average discount was $3,698, up $187 from April 2017. Discounts on trucks and SUVs were up $426, but down $226 on passenger cars. Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Ford Transit can haul on the track

Tue, 19 Aug 2014

Line up any two comparable vehicles, and eople are going to want to race them. Need proof? In its latest track battle, Auto Express wants to know which commercial vehicle can lap a circuit faster - a Ford Transit or Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Let's face it, neither of these European vans were ever meant to be near the track unless they are delivering a racecar and a ton of parts for a fun weekend, but it's massively fun to watch them give it a go anyway.
The one thing that Auto Express really illustrates here is the modern marvel that is stability control. The driver hops curves, and these big vans lean in the corners like your friend walking home from a long night at the bar. However, because of the amazing stability systems, the vans mostly keep all of their wheels planted and never seem close to getting sloppy, despite their behemoth size.
Unfortunately, the two vans aren't exactly fairly paired. The Ford has a dual rear axle and a few other advantages over the Mercedes, but it's still hilarious to watch them go. Even better, the host breaks down everything happening behind the wheel like these commercial vehicles were two Porsches. Enjoy watching this very unorthodox battle between Ford and Mercedes.
