Up for sale is this super clean 2001 Ford F-150 Harley Davidson Edition with thousands of $$'s in extras. This F-150 is immaculate and has a Satin Black exterior with Black leather interior. The leather seats are in great condition and they are also fully powered and heated as well with lumbar option. This is a very rare option to find in these cars. This Harley Davidson F-150 just turned 180k miles and it runs and drives like it did when it was new. This is a really nice example of what a high end pickup should be and probably the cleanest Harley F-150 on eBay. The drive is so powerful and responsive, its like riding in a brand new Pickup.
This vehicle was very well taken cared of and it shows. This vehicle needs nothing but a new caring owner and a new home. The previous owner never smoked in this car and the vehicle was always garaged kept by the middle-aged couple.
This Pickup is loaded up with every possible option That could have been ordered. It has heated leather seats which are also powered and they blow up with air for lumbar support. It has power adjustable pedals, fog lamps, chrome nerf bars, 20 inch chrome alloy wheels with new hankook tires, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, 6 Disc CD canger, glass moonroof, built in voice recorder in sun visor, cruise control, remote keyless entry, Harley Davidson package, chrome exhaust pipes, rear bed tourneau cover, ICE cold ac, crew cab with bucket seating, and soo much more to list! This vehicle has it all.
This car also has Thousands of dollars spent on it in extras. It has Alpine Navigation system with remote hookup, DVD player with remote hookup, rear view mirror TV with remote, Flip down TV in the rear, 2 wireless head phones, rear Back-up camera, GTO tinted headlight covers, custom rear tail light covers, and a custom chrome Harley Davidson front grill. This vehicle also has a Clifford alarm system with remote start installed. And the best part is all the goodies work the way they should (see my video).
This F-150 comes with the original Harley Davidson Ford key, the Clifford remote keypad, and the Harley Davison key chain. We also have all the original floor mats, the jack and tire iron, and full size spare. The car is complete with all its accessories.
This vehicle was very well cared for and it shows. The maintenance all appears to be current and the vehicle is reliable and runs like a dream. The car has brand new matching 20 inch Hankook tires all around with plenty of tread remaining. The previous owner just installed a brand new battery as well. We have driven it 1000 miles and it seems to be running and driving 100%. You can literally jump in this vehicle and drive it 2,000 miles back home without any problems. We changed all the motor and transmission fluids and the vehicle has new brakes, new rotors, and new windshield wiper blades.
The exterior of the vehicle is super clean. The body panels are all perfect and the paintwork in perfect shape. The paint is glossy and the vehicle looks like its only a couple of years old. The exterior is in above average condition and near mint. There is no real flaws to point out on the exterior at all. There are a few rock chips on the lower part of the front bumper, nothing major at all but I will have them touched up best I can before the new owner takes possession of the vehicle. Its just a great vehicle and its looks fantastic. This vehicle was also never in any accidents and has a clean carfax on hand with no damage history what so ever.
The interior of the vehicle is super clean. The seats are in great condition and the leather is supple and clean. There is a blemish on the drivers side seat bolster which you can see in my pics. But besides that, the interior is perfect and all the other seats and other interior panels are in great condition. The dash and door panels are also in perfect condition and clean.  All the trimmings and other interior trims are in perfect condition. The interior is in great condition in my opinion. The interior was just completly detailed recently!
This car is being sold as-is, where-is, and there is no warranties expressed or implied. If you would like to see the car and test drive it, you are more than welcome to do so. Also, feel free to ask me about the buy-it-now price. If you are located outside my local area, I will assist in any way possible in having the car shipped to you at your cost. Ford UK exec says EVs are a good way to lose a fortune

Wed, Mar 19 2014

Stateside, Ford execs are quick to point out the automaker's expansion in the plug-in sector. And despite a minimal presence in the pure EV space, the Blue Oval has been promoting its plug-in vehicles as part of an overall effort to boost fleetwide fuel economy. Too bad the company's UK chief didn't get the memo. There's "no point in us getting behind [EVs] and losing a fortune" - Ford's Mark Ovenden Mark Ovenden, speaking rather frankly at the Geneva Motor Show recently, said he didn't have real high hopes for substantial electric-vehicle adoption and said the company's money was better spent on smaller gas- and diesel-powered engines, the UK's Daily Mail says. Ovenden said of EV development that there was "no point in us getting behind it and losing a fortune," adding that his goal was to have variants of Ford's EcoBoost engine in 40 percent of the company's vehicles. Ford has about a 15-percent market share in the UK. The UK doesn't appear to be as kind to the EV as the US. Nissan last year cut the price of its all-electric Leaf there last year by about $4,000, while the company rolled out a promotion for the Leaf late last year, including allowing Leaf drivers to borrow a gas- or diesel-powered Nissan for free for as long as two weeks a year during the first three years of Leaf ownership. In the US, Ford sold just 229 Ford Focus Electrics during the first two months of the year after moving 1,738 units in 2013.

Detroit Three to lose dominance of North American auto output in 2017

Wed, Sep 27 2017

DETROIT — North American vehicle production by the unionized Detroit Three automakers will fall behind the combined North American output of Tesla and automakers from Europe and Asia for the first time this year, IHS Markit forecast on Wednesday. In 2017, the Detroit Three could build 8.6 million vehicles in North America, while Tesla and foreign automakers build 8.7 million, IHS Markit analyst Joe Langley said. By 2024, the gap will widen, with Asian and European automakers and Tesla combining to build about 9.8 million vehicles in North America. General Motors, Ford and the North American operations of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV will combine to build 8.1 million vehicles, down 6 percent from this year. Mexico is on track to increase its share of North American vehicle production, Langley said, moving to 4.5 million vehicles a year by 2024 from about 4 million vehicles currently. The milestone for the growth of Tesla and foreign automakers in North America comes as the Trump administration is pushing to limit imports of vehicles from Mexico in negotiations to overhaul the North American Free Trade Agreement. The declining share of North American vehicle production for the Detroit automakers also challenges U.S. and Canadian unions that represent their workers. Canadian workers are on strike at a GM factory in Ontario to protest the automaker's decision to cut jobs and move to Mexico some production of sport utility models built there. Foreign automakers over the past year have announced plans for a wave of new or expanded plants in North America, while Tesla is ramping up to build as many as 500,000 cars a year at its plant in Fremont, Calif. Often referred to as "transplants," the foreign-owned factories are poised to become the mainstream of the North American auto industry. Automakers are increasingly using factories in China or Mexico to build vehicles that used to be assembled solely in the United States, Langley said. He cited as an example Ford's decision to shift production of the Focus small car for North America to a Chinese assembly plant. Ford Fiesta 1.0L EcoBoost sales robust in early going

Tue, 13 May 2014

Okay, okay, okay, so I was just a smidge wrong. Those that read my review of the Ford Fiesta with the new 1.0-liter, EcoBoost engine will know that while I really enjoyed the torquey little three-cylinder, I was concerned that Ford's decision to force 1.0-liter owners into a manual transmission, steel wheels and one trim level might hurt sales of the new engine. I was also concerned that the promised 45-mile-per-gallon highway rating wouldn't be enough to tempt buyers into trying an engine that's so far outside of what the general public is use to. My concerns, though, seem to have been for naught.
While not doing a booming business on the triple-equipped Fiesta, Ford is seeing a take rate of four to eight percent per month in the engine's first few months on sale. Now, four to eight percent might not sound like a lot - if, like last year, the Fiesta sells around 71,000 units, there'd be barely 5,600 1.0-liter models on the road. It is also small potatoes relative to the take rate on EcoBoost-equipped vehicles across the Ford range, which US sales analyst Erich Merkle estimates to be roughly 35 to 40 percent of retail sales. Still, according to The Detroit News, the 1.0-liter is getting adopted at roughly the same rate as the sparkling Fiesta ST, which should be a solid indication of just how well this little engine is doing.
