Up for sale is my pride and joy a 2009 Ford F150 FX-4 Super Crew. It has pretty much every option available with the exception of the factory electronic brake controller and backup camera.

The truck has options such as :

Navigation
SYNC
Sony premium sound
Heated and power front seats
Leather seats
Rubber all-weather floor mats
Sunroof
Chrome step bars
Power adjustable brake and gas pedals
2 Memory settings
Dual zone climate control
Carbon interior trim
Rhino Spray in Bed Liner
20% Window tint

The truck was sent to Rocky Ridge Conversions before I saw the vehicle and had the following installed :

6 inch lift kit
20 inch chrome wheels
35 inch mickey thompson all terrain tires (Still a ton of tread left)
Flowmaster Dual exhaust (Nice mellow tone, no drone at highways speeds)
Painted Fender Flares
Billett grill insert
Speedo Recalibration with a hypertech unit (Included in sale)

At 5,000 miles I installed an aRe air intake and throttle body spacer to improve throttle response. There has never been any "chip" or "tune" done to the truck, the only ecm changes were the speedometer calibration.

The truck is daily driven and the miles will go up until the vehicle is sold (I normally only put 10-15 miles a day on the truck, hence the low mileage).

There are some some paint repairs needed and a fender flare needs to be repaired/repainted or replaced and painted. The area I normally park my pickup at has a sunshade, the strap that secures the sunshade came loose and the strap did some paint (no body) damage the the front passenger side of the truck. The sun shade rubbed through the paint on the grill surround and marred the upper portion of the grill insert. The fender flare was given two very small cracks (around 1 inch each) when I barely bumped a mailbox while backing up (plastic cracks very easily unfortunately). The pictures of the damaged fender flare are with it removed from the truck, as it has been since the damage occured.

I had a local reputable body shop give an estimate to fix everything but the grill insert and was quoted $952. A brand new upper AND lower grill insert can be bought on Amazon for $132. If the truck does not sell within the next 2-3 weeks I will have the repairs done at said shop and the purchase price of the truck will go up 2,000. So buy it now and save yourself 900 and get it fixed, or save 2000 and enjoy it as is.

The truck has been completely reliable, it has never failed to start or broken down on me. If I were not looking to get into a sports car I would keep this truck at it is the nicest vehicle I have ever owned. It really is a great truck and I hate to sell it, but you can't have your cake and eat it too as they say.

The truck is for sale locally as well, I reserve the right to end the listing if it does sale locally. The truck was purchased in August of 2009, so any remaining powertrain warranty time would be from there on. I am the original owner of the vehicle.

Editors' Picks January 2022 | Ford Maverick, Jeep Grand Cherokee and more

Wed, Feb 9 2022

This month, we awarded Editors' Pick awards to a number of totally redesigned, new models. Most notable of the bunch is the 2022 Ford Maverick. Ford took a chance on a new segment, and its execution is as close to perfect as we could hope for. The Hyundai Santa Cruz is a worthy competitor, though, and was also named an Editors' Pick. Also in this list, we have the redesigned Jeep Grand Cherokee. It's an excellent SUV, and it's only going to get better when the plug-in hybrid 4xe model hits the roads. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, here’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get EditorsÂ’ Pick status. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in January that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Quick take: Jeep's midsize SUV hits it out of the park with the latest generation. We could stand to see some powertrain innovation, but the Grand Cherokee's premium proposition is sound. Score: 8.0 What it competes with: Honda Passport, Hyundai Santa Fe, Ford Edge, Chevrolet Blazer, Nissan Murano Pros: Highly capable, luxurious interior, choices aplenty Cons: Pricey, fuel economy From the editors Associate Editor, Byron Hurd — "Jeep did almost everything right with the redesigned Grand Cherokee. Its powertrain offerings are fairly unremarkable, but the new two-row 4xe will go a long way toward addressing that. It's an otherwise fantastic, modern, luxurious Jeep SUV." In-depth analysis: 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee First Drive Review | 1 fewer row, 1 more touchscreen   2022 Ford Maverick Quick take: The Ford Maverick offers tremendous value, efficiency, incredibly well-thought-out packaging, plenty of storage, a fairly engaging drive and ease of use, all with the utility of a pickup bed. We like the hybrid, but the EcoBoost engine and FX4 package offer more capability. Score: 8 What it competes with: Hyundai Santa Cruz Pros: Very affordable, Hybrid fuel economy, compact size Cons: Tight backseat, FWD only Hybrid, no cruise control in base trim From the editors: Green, Senior Editor John Beltz Snyder — "The Maverick is simply a dynamite package. It's smart, useful, drivable, efficient, providing affordable utility in the underserved compact pickup segment.

Matt Damon is Carroll Shelby, with Christian Bale in Ford vs. Ferrari film

Thu, Jun 21 2018

Right after we reported that one of the Le Mans-winning Ford GT40s is coming up for auction, word got round that its story will now be turned into a Hollywood movie. There will be an as-yet-untitled major motion picture that tells the story of Ford battling Ferrari in the 1960s, culminating in the Ford GT40's dramatic 1-2-3 finish in the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans. The movie has lined up an all-star cast, with "Batman" and "American Psycho" actor Christian Bale tapped to play key GT40 developer, test driver and racer Ken Miles, and "Punisher" actor Jon Bernthal as Lee Iacocca. The plum role of Carroll Shelby is going to Matt Damon, last seen driving across the Red Planet in "The Martian" or down a flight of stairs in the "Bourne" film series. The film's director will be James Mangold, known from directing last year's "Logan." View 37 Photos Autoweek reports that the original screenplay was based on A.J. Baime's book " Go Like Hell," but there will be a different screenplay written from scratch. Originally, "Go Like Hell" was to be a different project starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. Meanwhile, the book will reportedly be turned into a TV series produced by Peter Dinklage of "Game of Thrones." And meanwhile some more, there are also competing Enzo Ferrari biopics in the works starring Robert De Niro and another starring Hugh Jackman that will also surely touch on the rivalry with Ford. While there's no guarantee yet that the GT40 biopic will match Steve McQueen's "Le Mans," we're got high hopes. It's a great story worthy of all the attention it's getting. Which is more fuel efficient, driving with a pickup's tailgate up or down?

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

Thanks to the smoke wand in the wind tunnel, you can actually see the difference in our video.
Should you drive with your pickup truck's tailgate up or down? It's an age-old controversy that's divided drivers for decades. Traditionalists will swear you should leave the tailgate down. Makes sense, right? It would seem to let the air flow more cleanly over the body and through the bed. But there's also a school of thought that argues trucks are designed to look and operate in a specific manner, and modern design techniques can help channel the airflow properly. So don't mess with all of that: Leave the tailgate up.
