See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"Dent in driver side front fender, passenger window isn't moving by the motor because its not against the gear of the motor. Shifting of transmission is not right because of sensor-I think, air condition needs recharged. To start truck, the steering wheel needs to be tilted up or lift steering wheel, loose connection in column. Needs inspected. Needs tail pipe."

1991 Ford F150 XLT Lariat 4x4, extended cab with 8ft bed. It runs and drive good. Needs a little work but nothing major. You have to put the steering wheel all the way up to start it or lift on the steering wheel if its not up all the way. I think there is a loose connection in the steering column and the idle is rough sometimes but I was told it was an air sensor or something related and that it acts like a vacuum leak. I changed the oil and trans fluid to have clean oil and trans fluid in it. It has a new battery, half shaft-which is between the steering column and steering box. Driver seat has a seat cover on it because material on seat is torn. Very little rust underneath and bed fender wells have been fixed as seen in pictures. The only area of rust is under the extended part of the cab and that's known for. Dent on front left fender. The transmission is good but the timing is off as far as when to shift into the next gear. I'm not sure if that is an electronic shifting issue or what it may be. It needs inspected and I was told that all it would take is to weld or clamp a 2 foot pipe to the tail pipe to get the tip out past the fender a little bit. Its a 22 year old truck and it has some issues, but its better than some other trucks out there on the net or anywhere there is any for sale. The bed panels have been repaired and saved and won't have to worry about replacing them. Passenger window needs attention because the motor is not against the thing that makes the window go up and down. 4 wheel drive does work. It's makes good for a hauler of metals or junk parts to start a business or to do whatever else you have in mind for it. It does have a class 3 hitch to haul any size trailer. If you have any other questions, message me. It may need tune up, I put new spark plug wires but nothing else yet. I have posted pictures, but more pictures can be requested. The reason I'm selling is because I'm moving to Texas and can't take with me and I already have another vehicle. I can't drive both down. I have put every detail in the description that I know of and am being up front and honest about everything I can say about the truck. I only know a little about cars as far as changing oil or basic stuff, I don't have any knowledge beyond that. I have listed what I was told about what the truck needs or has issues with.

Ford exec reveals new F-150 Raptor packs 450 horsepower

Mon, Jan 26 2015

Between the new GT supercar, Shelby GT350R muscle car and F-150 Raptor off-roader, Ford had quite the array of performance machinery on display at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month. One thing it didn't reveal about any of the three, however, is how much power they'd pack, but a senior executive at the Blue Oval automaker has reportedly let the cat out of the bag when it comes to the Raptor. During a televised interview during the Rolex 24 at Daytona this past weekend, Ford's product development chief Raj Nair is said to have revealed that the new F-150 Raptor will offer 450 horsepower. That's pretty impressive from a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6, and would put the new Raptor out ahead of the 411 hp produced by the 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 in the previous SVT Raptor. That doesn't give us the whole picture, though, because in a vehicle this big especially, torque will play a huge factor. The outgoing Raptor offered 424 pound-feet of twist, and the existing 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine is already producing 420 lb-ft – so it seems fairly safe to assume the new Raptor will eclipse those figures as well, but we'll have to wait for official word to find out for sure. Ford CEO Mark Fields takes home $18.6 million

Fri, Mar 27 2015

Sitting atop the throne at Ford Motor Company is, as it turns out, a fairly lucrative gig. We make that statement after learning, through SEC filings, that FoMoCo's Mark Fields raked in $18.6 million in compensation during his first year as CEO. Now, as is so often the case, Fields' earnings weren't just straight salary. Only $1.7 million of that sum was from his salary, while another $3.2 million came from cash bonuses. The remaining $13.7 million, though, came from what The Detroit Free Press called "long-term stock options, performance equity awards and compensation for items such as security and travel," according to the SEC filing. That makes for a significant raise for Fields, who made $10.1 million in 2013, but it still doesn't match his predecessor, former CEO Alan Mulally. The 69-year-old Mulally earned $23.2 million in his final year as CEO, while bringing in $1 million last year as part of a $22 million compensation package. Fields' earnings may ruffle some features for a few reasons. First, while the Freep reports that Ford hit 91 percent of its performance goals, 2014's earnings were down $4 billion, to $3.2 billion, compared to the $7.2 billion the company made in 2013. On top of that, the CEO's take-home might be sour grapes for hourly employees, who were only treated to checks worth $6,900, as part of a profit-sharing plan. To that, Ford said in a statement that, "We remain absolutely committed to aligning executive compensation with the company's business performance and to tying a significant portion of executive compensation to long-term shareholder value." New car market raining on convertibles' parade

Mon, 08 Jul 2013

Whether fitted with soft or hard folding lids, today's droptops are better than ever for year-round motoring. Advancements in power top mechanisms, sealing, aerodynamics, structural rigidity, rollover safety and creature comforts like heated and cooled seats mean that modern convertibles are more versatile and better to drive than ever before. Yet the segment's sales took a dive during the recession and haven't come back, Automotive News reports.
Part of that is because automakers are looking at today's more sensible buyers and simply not developing as many new models, and that lack of fresh iron is curbing sales. AN cites R.L. Polk data which notes that only about one percent of new vehicles registered in the US last year had tops that folded. Back in 2009, it was 1.4 percent, and it was 2 percent in 2006. All-in, some 151,636 convertibles were registered in 2012. That's more units more than were registered in each of the past three years, but the market has also grown as the economy has picked up speed, and as a percentage of new vehicles purchased, convertible sales are lagging.
Thus far in 2013, the Ford Mustang is America's top-selling convertible, with 6,421 units registered through the end of April, followed by its rival, the Chevrolet Camaro, at 4,751 units. The Volkswagen Beetle isn't far behind, with 4,305, but from that point, it's a steep drop off to the fourth-place Mercedes-Benz SL-Class and its 2,380 sales.
