FANTASTIC CLASSIC TRUCK THAT DEFINED A GENERATION. THIS TRUCK IS IN AMZING CONDITION FOR IT'S AGE. CLEAN AND STRAIGHT PANELS WITH NO BODY WORK. PAINT FINISH STILL HAS IMPRESSIVE SHINE. This truck has serious MUSCLE!
1977 Ford F-150 Ranger XLT 4WD with a short box, 4" Factory Lift, Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold (4 barrel) Holley 750 Double pumper Carb, 86K miles, Stainless Headers going to Flow Master dual exhaust that SOUNDS AMAZING! The original owner ordered this truck direct from Ford in '77 with the 429 cu in engine, which is the same block as the 460, just a shorter stroke. 10,000 LB HEAVY DUTY TOW PACKAGE W/Step up bumper and trailer brake system mounted in cab. Original Carpet and seats were worn excessively, so the first thing I did after I bought it from the original owner in Tacoma, Washington was replaced the carpet with brand new black cut pile, and replaced the cloth blue seat with black vinyl (looks and feels like new Leather). New wing mirrors. All improvements/restorations were done through LMC catalogs, so stock (or closest to OEM) products were used. Also, the truck has over $2,000.00 in Dynamat, Dynapad, and Dynaliner installed under the carpet, seats, and on the firewall to reduce road noise/vibrations in the cab. Extra sheets of Dynamat Xtreme will be provided with truck sale. All gauges work and function as they should. The heater core was just replaced as well as the Starter Solenoid, Power Steering pump and return lines, and washer motor pump. New seat belts (black to match new black upholstery). New gaskets on cab around doors & glass. Fender Flares matching existing paint. I've put $5000 into restorations in the past year, while maintaining the stock look. The truck looks and feels like American Muscle... the engine creates huge power and beautiful sound. The only thing slowing this beautiful beast down, is perhaps the differential/gearing. The gear ratios are for pulling and torque, but with a little wrenching, this truck can easily generate over 500 HP at the rear wheel... My NHRA mechanic had me inline next to complete a custom build with forged aluminum pistons, and an EFI conversion... yet, I recently became a first time father and things like this just aren't practical for now : ( Please call with any questions, or email me. I can start it if the exhaust sound is something that gets your blood going like mine! Buyer is responsible for taking delivery of the vehicle. Seller maintains the right to sell to private party locally within auction time. $2,000.00 USD deposit is required within 24 hours of auction ending, and must provide certified (bank/cashier's check) at time of pick up. Clear title and no maintenance issues whatsoever, yet, sale is AS IS. Thank you for your time! Best of LUCK and Happy Bidding! Tim 612.four nine zero.3557 RenegadeW21@yahoo.com |

2018 Woodward Dream Cruise: What to know and where to go
Fri, Aug 17 2018If there's anything that proves Detroit's motor-oil-in-the-veins, gearhead bonafides, it's the annual Woodward Dream Cruise, which will bring an anticipated 1.5 million or so people from near and far, plus tens of thousands of classic and custom and just plain weird cars, to a 16-mile portion of Woodward Avenue on Saturday for the 24th year. Loved by gearheads, collectors and the merely curious, who see it as the Motor City's version of Mardi Gras, and loathed by others, who deride it as the world's largest traffic jam, the Dream Cruise is nothing if not an explosion for the senses. What will you see there? Well, as Autoblog Managing Editor Greg Rasa put it last year, "There are historic cars. And works of art. Some are worth vast sums of money, and some are rat rods and rust buckets. And some are bizarre creations that make you ask, 'What were they thinking?'" A few things are certain: You will see many incredible automobiles. There will be plenty of T-shirts and other merch, official and not-so-much. It will be crowded, and probably hot. The Cruise will officially go from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., though of course cruisers have been out already for weeks. And there are plenty of attractions, both on and off the pavement of Woodward. Tony Michaels, the Dream Cruise's executive director, said the event is special for the Detroit region. "Together we celebrate the automobile and what it has meant to us," he told Autoblog. "To see the these fantastic vehicles and the proud owners says so much about who we are and our pride. "People should take it in to see history running 16 miles down Woodward Avenue and to be a part of the greatest automobile event in America." Ford is once again serving as the Dream Cruise presenting sponsor and will hold the 20th anniversary of the Mustang Alley at the corner of Nine Mile and Woodward in Ferndale, where it expects as many as 1,000 Mustangs to line up. It will also show off its lineage of trucks at 13 Mile, along with several performance vehicles at Duggan's Irish Pub at 31501 Woodward in Royal Oak. The company on Thursday unveiled the 2018 Mustang Cobra Jet drag car to celebrate the nameplate's 50th anniversary. Just 68 examples are planned of the $130,000 limited-edition model Other Ford activities include: Sales of tickets for a raffle of a one-off Kona Blue Mustang Bullitt, starting at the media clubhouse at 2 p.m. Friday. The raffle itself takes place in November and will support juvenile diabetes research.
Ford GT, Buick Avenir and Audi Q7 take 2015 EyesOn Design awards
Thu, Jan 15 2015The annual EyesOn Design Awards at the Detroit Auto Show allows some of the greatest designers in the world to weigh in on the best production and concept debuts at the big event each year. For 2015, the large panel of judges included luminaries like Frank Stephenson of McLaren, Ralph Gilles from FCA and Moray Callum of Ford. Apparently the editors at Autoblog had a good eye because the winner of 2015's Best Designed Production Vehicle award went to the Ford GT, which was also our favorite debut from the show. The new supercar beat the Acura NSX and Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class Coupe for the honor. The judges described the Blue Oval's shape as "capturing the original GT40 in a modern interpretation," according to EyesOn Design. The Buick Avenir was also a big winner in the awards this year and received the nods for both Best Designed Concept Vehicle and Innovative Use of Color, Graphics and Materials. In the concept category, it beat out the Chevrolet Bolt and Mercedes-Benz F 015, and in the latter group, the sedan triumphed over Audi Q7, Mercedes F 015 and Volkswagen Cross Coupe GTE. The Q7 received its own accolade for Best Designed Interior, and it beat the Avenir and Infiniti Q60 for the honor. This year's Lifetime Design Achievement Award went to former Renault designer Patrick le Quement, and Bob Lutz received the EyesOn Design Catalyst Award for the second time. The honor is for an executive "who has empowered great design," according to the organization, which describes Lutz perfectly. Scroll down to read the announcement with more comments about the winners. The awards honor the most significant automotive designs revealed at NAIAS as determined by the North American and global leaders of design from automotive manufacturers, along with academic chairs of transportation design programs and design leaders from other fields.
Detroit Three automakers and UAW will continue to require masks
Thu, Jun 10 2021GM CEO Mary Barra at a Warren, Mich., training center in September. (Reuters) Â WASHINGTON — Detroit's Big Three automakers and the United Auto Workers (UAW) union said on Wednesday that workers will continue to be required to wear masks in workplaces. The joint statement from the UAW and General Motors, Ford and Chrysler-parent Stellantis NV said it was continuing the requirements "out of an abundance of caution." The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said in May that fully vaccinated people do not need to wear masks in most instances, including at work. The UAW and the automakers said temperature screening upon entering facilities is expected to be phased out. The UAW and automakers continue to recommend autoworkers get vaccinated. Many U.S. employers are still requiring vaccinated workers to wear masks in workplaces. Volkswagen AG's U.S. unit said it will "no longer require masks for fully vaccinated employees after June 21, and will continue to follow CDC guidelines." Toyota is among the automakers that has ended temperature checks and entry questionnaires at U.S. plants but it is continuing to require facial coverings. Honda and Nissan said they had made no changes to their U.S. employee COVID-19 requirements. Â Plants/Manufacturing Chrysler Dodge Ford GM Jeep RAM Safety coronavirus
