Penny---2 Owner 1977 Ford Custom SWB F100 4 Speed 302ci Survivor with ONLY 170K No Reserve

Submitted for your approval this week is a stock 2 owner 1977 Ford F100 Custom short wide bed 1/2 ton truck named Penny. This is the EXACT truck that all the collector hod rod car TV shows are looking for. These particular Ford SWB's are pretty darn hot right now. Repeat this is a SHORT STUBBY WIDE BED. Found this cool looking SWB with a for sale sign parked at the local hardware shop close to my house. I saw it & bought it on the same day from the original owner with a handshake. Paid lots of cash out of pocket like $6.5k cash & some trade so it is priced to sell quickly in my humble opinion. Right now I have some large bills.  Wife wanted her new remodeled kitchen & they are NOT cheap let me tell you. With that said & with some regret I am currently offering this unmolested original F100 custom 1/2 ton survivor to the highest bidder. 170K miles are original according to og owner. This particular F100 was built up at the San Jose, California Ford plant according to its Vin number. Repeat this is being represented as a unaltered classic truck. Has clear signed off California title. Currently fully insured & registered till June. Repeat clear title NO games. Has desirable original Ford factory small block performance package. Featuring: Original 302ci or 5.0L. 2 Bbbl carburetor. Manual 4 speed on the floor. Power steering. Power brakes with discs on the front. All the gages, lights, & blinkers seem to work properly. All window glass is good. Both door windows wind up & down as they should with no extra effort. No A/C unit to clutter the engine bay so its relatively easy to work on. Optional white spoke rims with good tires. Original medium metallic copper Ford code paint. Repeat only 170K according to original owner. Runs, shifts, & stops good for it's age. You can both drive it home or trailer it home if you wish. Handles pretty darn good for a truck with both power steering & power brake options. Could easily be a daily driver with some tlc. Body is rock solid pictured. Sparse interior is good for it's age also clearly pictured. NO serious rust issues; Heck, its from the California high desert what would you expect? Has only ONE isolated dent to the rear bed body panel. Also the original chrome front bumper hooked onto something at one time or another which is pictured. Other than that the rest of the body is in near perfect condition. I have left this survivor just the way I got it completely original. Please note: This is a used truck & it may need a little of this & alot of that so be aware of this fact before bidding. Sold as is where is. It is 37 year old & being represented as such.

Truck is located in Bishop, California, 93514 for both pick up "Excuse the pun" or transport service. A $500.00 deposit is due within (24) hours or (1) day after winning bid & full payment is due with (7) days after winning bid. NO Exceptions. I will help load and help with international customs. Call/text Mike @ seven six four three nine eight eight before you bid for any details, inspections, or test drives. I like to chit chat. It is for sale locally & on some other other websites for alot more $$$$ so I may end listing early. Good luck bidding & thanks for looking!

More evidence GT500-replacement will be named GT350

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

During the recent unveiling of the 2015 Ford Mustang, we saw the car in both V6 and GT form, but we'll have to wait a little bit longer to see the successor to the Shelby GT500. In the meantime, though, it looks like SVTPerformance.com has confirmed reports that this high-performance model will bring the Shelby GT350 name back to Ford.
According to the forum post, a user found the Shelby GT350 name on a Ford promo website listing its 2015 lineup. The Shelby GT350 name was first used on a Mustang back in 1965, and most recently it has been a model created for customers as a post-title purchase by Shelby American. As for that car, Shelby confirmed earlier in the year that its GT350 would be phased out at the end of this month.
The million-dollar question for Mustang and Shelby enthusiasts is when we'll see next factory Shelby GT350. Last we heard it was planned for a debut at the New York Auto Show. We've included our previous spy shots of this hi-po, sixth-gen Mustang, and we've also captured it on spy video showing off its exhaust note.

Shelby GT350 Mustang limited to 137 units for 2015 model year

Tue, Apr 28 2015

Interest in the 2015 Ford Shelby GT350 and GT350R Mustangs is already at a fever pitch, thanks performance goodies like a flat-plane-crank V8 and MagneRide dampers. Ford is ensuring demand stays stratospheric through at least the first half of the year, too, by keeping production of these muscular coupes very limited. In fact, just 137 of them in total are leaving the factory for the 2015 model year. As a way to commemorate the Shelby Mustang's 50th anniversary as a performance powerhouse, Ford is building just 37 examples of the 2015 GT350R. This is also a way to pay homage to Carroll Shelby. In 1965, the racing genius originally planned to build 35 GT350 production models, plus two prototypes. However, documents indicate only 34 of the ones meant for customers ever left the workshop. Now, he has gotten his wish. There are also 100 examples of the standard 2015 GT350 on the way. Of those, 50 get the Technology Package that includes things like MagneRide, a navigation system with Sync 3, and dual-zone climate control. The other 50 get the Track Package that has added cooling for the engine, transmission and differential, a strut tower brace, and the high-tech, magnetic dampers. Bear in mind, this limited output is only for the 2015 model year, not the calendar year. For the automotive world, 2016 should start in just a few months and allow for even more Shelby Mustangs to hit the streets. The original Shelby GT350, introduced in 1965, established Mustang's performance credentials on racetracks around the world. The all-new Shelby GT350, featuring the most powerful naturally aspirated Ford production engine ever, re-establishes Mustang as a world-class sports car. Only 100 Shelby GT350 models will feature a 2015 model year designation before production switches over to 2016. Of these, 50 will be equipped with the Technology Package and 50 equipped with the Track Package.

Full-size trucks are the best and worst vehicles in America

Thu, Apr 28 2022

You don’t need me to tell you that Americans love pickup trucks. And the bigger the truck, the more likely it seems to be seen as an object of desire. Monthly and yearly sales charts are something of a broken record; track one is the Ford F-Series, followed by the Chevy Silverado, RamÂ’s line of haulers, and somewhere not far down the line, the GMC Sierra. The big Japanese players fall in place a bit further below — not that thereÂ’s anything wrong with a hundred thousand Toyota Tundra sales — and one-size-smaller trucks like the Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger and Chevy Colorado have proven awfully popular, too. Along with their sales numbers, the average cost of new trucks has similarly been on the rise. Now, I donÂ’t pretend to have the right to tell people what they should or shouldnÂ’t buy with their own money. But I just canÂ’t wrap my head around why a growing number of Americans are choosing to spend huge sums of money on super luxurious pickup trucks. Let me first say I do understand the appeal. People like nice things, after all. I know I do. I myself am willing to spend way more than the average American on all sorts of discretionary things, from wine and liquor to cameras and lenses. IÂ’ve even spent my own money on vehicles that I donÂ’t need but want anyway. A certain vintage VW camper van certainly qualifies. I also currently own a big, inefficient SUV with a 454-cubic-inch big block V8. So if your answer to the question IÂ’m posing here is that youÂ’re willing to pay the better part of a hundred grand on a chromed-out and leather-lined pickup simply because you want to, then by all means — not that you need my permission — go buy one. The part I donÂ’t understand is this: Why wouldn't you, as a rational person, rather split your garage in half? On one side would sit a nice car that is quiet, rides and handles equally well and gets above average fuel mileage. Maybe it has a few hundred gasoline-fueled horsepower, or heck, maybe itÂ’s electric. On the other side (or even outside) is parked a decent pickup truck. One that can tow 10,000 pounds, haul something near a ton in the bed, and has all the goodies most Americans want in their cars, like cruise control, power windows and locks, keyless entry, and a decent infotainment screen.
