1965 Ford F-100 STEPSIDE

PICKUP TRUCK

Up for sale is my 1965 Ford F100 Stepside Twin Beam Custom Cab V8

First I'm selling a personal vehicle. That I purchased for my husband in 2004 except for a few Sunday drives  (he would take it out on occasions) it's been stored in our garage. As he has recently passed away I'm hoping someone will really want to restore this vehicle to its original glory. That being said here's what I know about the vehicle: First it runs and runs well. I put on a new battery, alternator, solenoid, and starter. It's has a wood bed that has most of the boards replaced.  The out sided edges of the bed need to be replaced. It has mainly surface rust. With just a couple of spots of serious rust. It has  duel fuel tanks. Fuel gage, speedometer, wipers, lighter, oil pressure gage, temperature gage, choke works and the seat has been recovered. The ampere gage does not work. It does not have a radio. The fan for heat works but I'm not sure the passenger side does. One Fender is pretty bad shape and I have a fender to replace it with. We also have a spare passenger side door. (I think my husband purchased it for parts) We have one new door panel, a radio speaker insert for the driver's side and rubber that goes around the doors. All the windows are in really good shape. I'm not sure the size of the motor and I did notice the odometer light will not work, so I'm not sure of the miles.

I have provided a lot of pictures for you to view. The truck runs and drives well. I would not be afraid to use it now as an everyday driver.

2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor vs. 2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon: How they compare on paper

Tue, Jan 21 2020

(Editor's Note: Due to inconsistencies in manufacturer reporting methods for ground clearance, an earlier version of this article stated the Ram Power Wagon's "ground clearance" to be 14.3 inches when in fact that is its "running clearance," which is deemed the ground to the lowest point of the truck MINUS the axles. The numbers below now reflect true ground clearance, or the ground to the lowest point of the truck, period. The chart and text have been updated to show both measurements for maximum accuracy and clarity.) For several years, the Ram 2500 Power Wagon has been the unquestioned king of heavy duty off-roaders. But competition is coming, and some of the strongest is from the 2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor. We decided to take a look at these trucks' specs and features to see how they compare in the realm of capability. The raw numbers are below along with some notes on each truck's unique features that go beyond the spec sheet. Off-road capability While both of these trucks boast impressive clambering abilities, each with particular strengths. The Super Duty Tremor earns points for better ground clearance and axle clearance, as well as approach angle. Some of the credit goes to the larger 35-inch tires and a shortened front air dam. On the other hand, the Power Wagon leads the Ford in departure angle, and in the ramp travel index. The latter is largely the result of the Power Wagon's electronically disconnecting sway bars, and for those unfamiliar, the ramp travel index measures articulation by having a truck drive one wheel up a ramp with the other on the ground. The farther the truck goes with the ground wheel in contact with the, well, ground, the better the score and the better the articulation. Numbers aren't everything, though. It's important to look at the equipment each truck offers, and things are closer, here, but the Ram still has an edge. Both feature off-road-friendly solid axles at both ends, but only the Power Wagon has fully locking differentials front and rear. The Tremor has a locking rear differential while the front is a limited-slip differential. The Power Wagon comes standard with a 12,000-pound integrated Warn winch, whereas such a winch is an option on the Tremor. The Tremor has its own unique features, though, including the 35-inch tires rather than the Ram's 33-inchers, and it has Ford's fancy off-road cruise control function called Trail Control. Both trucks have shocks and springs tuned for off-road use.

Motor Trend pits Camaro 1LE vs Mustang with Performance Pack, surprises ensue

Chris Harris pits Fiesta ST against Mercedes G63 AMG in 0-60 battle... sort of

Thu, 01 Aug 2013

Vehicle performance tests are serious business, with reputations made or broken by things like braking distance, top speed, and lateral g-forces. King of the metrics, though, is the 0-60 run, which for unknown reasons has become the benchmark for what truly makes a car a performance machine.
Now, Chris Harris from Drive has turned the whole idea behind the sprint to 60 on its ear. Taking a new Ford Fiesta ST, Harris asks a simple question: would the ST be quicker to 60 on its own, or on a trailer being towed by a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG?
It's a fair question, really. The Fiesta Harris tested hit 60 in 7.2 seconds on a slightly uphill section of runway. It should be noted that Harris quotes his ST at 182 horsepower, which is about 15 ponies less than what we're getting in the US, so these numbers might not hold up all that well against an American model. The G63 AMG, meanwhile, is a 536-horsepower monster, powered by a twin-turbo V8 that, able to propel the big SUV to 60 mph in just 5.2 seconds without towing a Fiesta.
