This beautiful 1964 Ford F-100 is the former show truck for Rockford Fosgate and has over 25k invested in it. An Absolute turn-key Sunday driver with less than 6k mi on everything. Driven only 20miles or less every weekend to cruise nights or get dinner on nice evenings. Fresh rebuilt 302, brand new automatic transmission in 2012 (cost over $3k and now chirps 2nd at 6,200ft elevation!), new headers, custom 2 chamber side exhaust, (SOUNDS AMAZING! but not too loud), new suspension, custom radiator, custom gages, custom flip face Pioneer CD stereo with 8" subs and direct ipod attachment with in dash controls, low profile tires and custom wheels, new battery, and professionally rolled and shaved body work with an awesome Charcoal Metallic paint highlighted with a very faint ghost flame on the lower front fenders. Runs & drives great and is perfect for cruise night as is. Small items for down the road; gages light up and are powered but are not hooked up, shaved outer door handles are not hooked up, (used to have power opening doors but they removed it when I bought the truck 8years ago and I never bothered to reconnect). Body is perfectly straight some small road chips and light scratches here and there. Light ding in the tailgate from use way back when. The drip rail above the front window has small bubbles, (this is very common unless you shave off the drip rail), there is some pitting on the rims, the tires still have plenty of tread. Only selling to buy a new house so my loss is your gain. This truck is awesome and we've never found another one like it! Runs and drives excellent and always has people checking it out or giving thumbs up. Must see to appreciate! Asking $16,200 With all these small items addressed it could be worth $25k but I just do not have the time before we close on the house. Feel free to call me with any questions at: 970.331.5125 9am-5pm MST. No trades please. Also, check out my listing for the original Copenhagen Harley and offer on both for a discount. Thank you!

Ford opens the doors on its Swedish rally skunkworks
Fri, 19 Sep 2014It's always amazing to see how different kinds of racecars are made. Formula One racers are often constructed in modern architectural marvels that hint at some of the cutting-edge technology going into the racing. Conversely, rallying is all about sliding around on a varied course as fast as possible, but it often leaves a vehicle caked in mud. So it makes some sense Olsbergs MSE, or simply (OMSE) rally car shop in Nynashamn, Sweden, shows technological sophistication in a more down-to-earth setting. It builds Ford Fiesta ST racers for Global Rallycross there, and this new video gives viewers a tour through the work.
Former rally driver Andreas Eriksson runs OMSE. These days instead of racing, he and the company's 46 employees are building Ford racers from scratch. A ton of work goes into constructing each one, and according to Eriksson, it takes 400 hours to complete each body. At times, things are so busy that some of the technicians live in the shop in apartments that are on premises. There's even a restaurant to keep them fed. Sadly the dyno room is empty during this visit, though.
By the time OMSE is done, a rallycross car might resemble a Fiesta ST on the outside, but as you see in the video, it's a completely different beast underneath. Check out the work it takes to build one of them, and scroll down to read more about it in the official release.
For thousands of US auto workers, the downturn is already here
Thu, Jun 22 2017LORDSTOWN, Ohio - Wall Street is fretting that the auto industry is heading for a downturn, but for thousands of workers at General Motors factories in the United States, the hard times are already here. Matt Streb, 36, was one of 1,200 workers laid off on Jan. 20 - inauguration day for President Donald Trump - when GM canceled the third shift at its Lordstown small-car factory here. Sales of the Chevrolet Cruze sedan, the only vehicle the plant makes, have nosedived as consumers switch to SUVs and pickup trucks. Streb is looking for another job, but employers are wary because they assume he will quit whenever GM calls him back. "I get it," said Streb, who has a degree in communications, "but it's frustrating." Layoffs at Lordstown and other auto plants point to a broader challenge for the economy in Midwestern manufacturing states and for the Trump administration. "This is about economics, not what Trump says. Even if Trump went out and bought 10,000 Cruzes a month, he wouldn't get the third shift back here." The auto industry's boom from 2010 through last year was a major driver for manufacturing job creation. The fading of that boom threatens prospects for US industrial output and job creation that were central to Trump's victory in Ohio and other manufacturing states. "This is about economics, not what Trump says," said Robert Morales, president of United Auto Workers (UAW) union Local 1714, which represents workers at GM's stamping plant at Lordstown. "Even if Trump went out and bought 10,000 Cruzes a month, he wouldn't get the third shift back here." Last week the Federal Reserve said factory output fell 0.4 percent in May, the second decline in three months, due partly to a 2 percent drop in motor vehicles and parts production. Mark Muro, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, has compiled data from government sources that show the auto industry punching higher than its weight in job creation in recent years - accounting for between 60 percent and 80 percent of all US manufacturing jobs added in 2015 and 2016. In the first quarter of this year, the auto industry accounted for less than 2 percent of the 45,000 manufacturing jobs created. "There's no argument with the idea that auto has been pulling the manufacturing sled up the mountain for the last three or four years," Muro said.
2016 Ford Focus RS leaked ahead of official debut
Tue, Feb 3 2015We won't officially see the new Ford Focus RS until the Blue Oval shows it to the world at an event on Tuesday, but here it is ahead of time, courtesy of the folks at Evo. As you can see, this is one hot little hatch, and if Evo's story is to be believed, those aggressive looks will be backed up with some pretty serious performance. Power is said to come from Ford's 2.3-liter EcoBoost inline four-cylinder engine, though the magazine's estimate of 250 horsepower seems awfully conservative to us (considering that's less than the current Focus ST). If earlier reports are to be believed, we think the RS will come packing more like 300 hp, if not more. For the first time, the Focus RS will use all-wheel drive with brake-operated torque-vectoring, and Evo says that up to 70 percent of the engine's power can be sent to the rear wheels. Hitting 60 miles per hour will reportedly take less than five seconds. Otherwise, it's business as usual, with a mean-looking exterior complete with the necessary aero bits (notice that wing!), and inside, we can see a beefy set of Recaro chairs. That's really all we know for now, but stay tuned for more when the Focus RS makes its official debut in the not-too-distant future. Related Video:
