1964 Ford-100 Custom Cab 1/2 Ton Pickup on 2040-cars
Meridian, Idaho, United States
1964 Ford-100 Custom Cab Pickup, 1/2 Ton. Was my intended
project, but I can no longer do what I envisioned. Welded design and double
side-wall Styleside box was the strongest ever. Original engine that runs (4
speed) and heater works well, just needs a re-built radiator. Truck is red and
white in color, with a blue tailgate. Has the storage area in the truck bed on
the right side. Original interior dash, transmission, axles and with seats that
need to be worked on. There is superficial rust and some small areas through in
the box and floor boards of the cab. The truck drives very well and easily and
has charged up the road to Bogus Basin Mountain Resort with no problem at all with
3,800 hp. Gears are smooth. Has the long wheel base (128”) and has the big
toughness, but rides very smooth. Unknown exact mileage, but the odometer has rolled over at least twice. Free Title. Locals
preferred, as unable to ship, or you are welcome to come and escort this
wonderful original truck to its new home. Assembly was in San Jose, California,
production SE6 502719 Numbers are: V-ID F10CR502719 Warr.# F-100 R5 02719 128-JM-F100 E81 F B5 Click on this link for a walk-around-video of the truck!! http://youtu.be/AUXl8ksYMP4 |

Ford Fiesta ST in startling track battle against Toyota GT86
Wed, 26 Jun 2013On the surface, there's very little that the Ford Fiesta ST and Toyota GT86 (or the Scion FR-S that is sold in the US, or the largely similar Subaru BRZ) share in common. One is a hatchback with power coming from a turbocharged engine routed to the front wheels. The other is a coupe with power coming from a naturally aspirated four-cylinder boxer engine routed to the rear wheels.
Thing is, both of them are reasonably priced performance cars aimed at a similar segment of the automotive marketplace, so a comparison isn't out of the question. It is with all of this in mind that we direct you to the video below, in which the blokes from Evo pit the two manic little machines against one another on a race track. The result? Well, it can be summed up this way: Fast versus fun.
See how the track battle goes down in the video below.
Couple fined for parking Ford F-150 in their own driveway
Tue, Jan 20 2015A homeowners' association in New York is suing two of its residents for parking their pickup truck in their own driveway. David and Arna Orlando of Manlius, NY, are facing a lawsuit from the Kimry Moor Homeowners Association for parking their black 2014 Ford F-150 pickup in their own driveway. The Orlandos own their home, but common areas such as their driveway are managed by their HOA, which limits what vehicles can park in the open. They only allow "private, passenger-type, pleasure automobiles" to park outside of a garage. David Orlando says his pickup is a personal passenger vehicle and that the rule is silly. He also feels he is being unfairly targeted. A Syracuse.com reporter drove around the Orlandos' neighborhood and saw another fullsize pickup parked in another driveway, along with a large van and SUV. The Orlandos said in court documents that the pickup is registered as a private vehicle and neither of them have commercial drivers' licenses. The lawsuit was filed in August 2013 and is still in the discovery phase. Depositions are up next. New York seems to have gone power-mad when it comes to regulating common driveway activities. In a Garden City, NY, neighborhood last year police were called when two men began washing a new Volkswagen "in public view", which was against a local ordinance. Fiat boss Elkann being mentored by... Bill Ford?
Tue, 26 Mar 2013Fiat Chairman John Elkann has been turning to an unusual source for advice on the car business. While speaking during an interview with The Detroit News, Elkann said he often asks Bill Ford Jr. for advice on how to proceed with the turnaround at Chrysler. "It's great to have the opportunity to share this with someone like Bill, who has experienced many things and gone through many things ... especially linked to Detroit." Elkann said.
As the Agnelli family heir, Elkann has inherited a long and fruitful friendship with the Ford family. While Giovanni Agnelli built his first Fiat four years before Henry Ford created his first vehicle, it was Ford that showed Agnelli the benefits of mass production and helped pave the way for what would become the Fiat empire.
Giovanni's grandson, Gianni, helped mentor Bill Ford when he was elected chairman of Ford Motor Company. Now, Ford is returning the favor by helping Elkann navigate the automotive industry's tumultuous waters.
