Up for bid! I have decided its time for my 1963 ford unibody to be put up for auction! This truck is a running, driving, starting, stopping, head turning, registered daily driver, thumbs up getting classic! The motor is a great running 502 ci powerhouse out of an older cadillac. The engine does not leak and runs like a top. I bought a performance cam and lifters kit from lunati and all the gaskets to go along with it that will go along with the truck whens its sold. The cam that is in it now is not bad by any means i just wanted something with a little more get up and go! the truck also has an electric fuel pump and an electric fan! The truck has an automatic trans topped with a 3' tall shifter and skull shift knob that looks awesome! The truck has a brand new set of tires all the way around and a newer dual exhaust to get that 502 beathing and sounding awesome! The truck has a ford 9" rearend that howls a little on deceleration but has been great for me! The truck has minimal rust, nothing a person and a mig welder couldnt tack up in a couple hours! No patch panels or metal replacement needed! I cut apart an old ford tail gate and grafted it into the bed/cab and it looks really cool. See pictures! All in all this is an awesome rare old truck in good shape that is daily driver quality. THIS TRUCK IS BEING SOLD WITH NO RESERVE!!!!!!

This truck is being sold AS IS! I have tried to give the best description possible, but i am human and may have missed some small things. Feel free to call me or request specific pictures or details and i will happy to help you out. $1000 dollars due within 24 hours or end of auction and balance due within seven days of auctions end! If that is asking to much talk to me im pretty easy going and im sure we can work something out! CALL ME AT 541 659 2474 josh! Thanks and good luck!

Ford Fiesta ST in startling track battle against Toyota GT86

Wed, 26 Jun 2013

On the surface, there's very little that the Ford Fiesta ST and Toyota GT86 (or the Scion FR-S that is sold in the US, or the largely similar Subaru BRZ) share in common. One is a hatchback with power coming from a turbocharged engine routed to the front wheels. The other is a coupe with power coming from a naturally aspirated four-cylinder boxer engine routed to the rear wheels.
Thing is, both of them are reasonably priced performance cars aimed at a similar segment of the automotive marketplace, so a comparison isn't out of the question. It is with all of this in mind that we direct you to the video below, in which the blokes from Evo pit the two manic little machines against one another on a race track. The result? Well, it can be summed up this way: Fast versus fun.
See how the track battle goes down in the video below.

Retro Wrong: MotorWeek shares first unaired pilot episode

Fri, Apr 17 2015

MotorWeek is an automotive institution in the United States. We all have to get our start somewhere though, and for the latest entry in the Retro Review series, the show is releasing its unaired pilot for the first time. Even today, the program isn't necessarily the most exciting thing on TV, but the modern incarnation looks like Top Gear compared to this original, very monotone attempt. The cars on display are more interesting from a historical aspect than actually being behind the wheel. MotorWeek puts the Chevrolet Citation and Ford Fairmont head to head. If you want to see progress in the auto industry, look here. The Fairmont manages a rousing 85 horsepower from a 3.3-liter inline six, and the Citation does only a little better with a 115-hp, 2.8-liter V6. The other highlight comes at the end when John Davis talks about the cars of the future. These include the upcoming introduction of the Ford Escort in the US and the mention of a possible gasoline-electric hybrid from General Motors. Given this pilot, it's amazing MotorWeek ever got the green light. However, if you're a fan of auto history, seeing the news from the past is always fascinating. 50 new vehicles by 2025: Ford making big push in China

Tue, Dec 5 2017

SHANGHAI — Ford will launch 50 new vehicles in China by 2025, including 15 electrified vehicles, the U.S. firm said at an event in Shanghai on Tuesday, as it looks to rev up sales growth in the market and shift towards cleaner electric cars. Ford's sales in China have been weak in recent months, and the company is scrambling to come up with electric and hybrid vehicles to comply with strict Chinese quotas over production and sales for so-called new energy vehicles, or NEVs. The U.S. automaker is undergoing a broad review of its China operations, part of a strategic re-think under new Chief Executive Officer Jim Hackett, which will likely see the company focus on electric commercial vans as well as electric cars. "Between now and 2025, we will launch 50 new vehicles in China, and of those 50 new vehicles, 15 of them will be all-new electrified vehicles," said Peter Fleet, Ford's head of Asia Pacific, pointing to big growth in the "utility" segment. Fleet also said Ford's China revenue would grow by 50 percent over the same period. China is pushing automakers toward electric and hybrid petrol-electric vehicles, setting tough quotas for NEVs that come into play in 2019, and has signaled a longer-term shift away from traditional internal combustion engine cars. The major shift in the world's largest auto market has jolted some automakers, sparking a spate of recent electric vehicle (EV) joint ventures in the market. Ford has announced an EV tie-up with China's Anhui Zotye Automobile Co Ltd. "We've never seen change like we do today," said Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford. "Everything is being disrupted" by the development of autonomous vehicles, trends such as ride-sharing and electric vehicles, he added. "It's clearly the case that China will lead the world in EV development, and so we at Ford are investing enormous amounts of money both here in China and globally to bring electrification into fruition."
