This is one of the nicest truck frame & body's I've ever seen or found. It runs & drives great! I love to restore the old Fords. I find them, Re-Love them & try to keep them as original & unmolested as possible while giving needed minor modifications to the interior and drive train. Starts with ease, Runs Fantastic , Stops Great. It is an eye stopper as it is , or can easily be turned into a high dollar Magazine or Show Truck. Can also appeal as a low rider or rat rod even though its all there & too easy to paint requiring minor work and paint color of your choice. I never paint them so people see exactly what they got when they buy, unmolested by me and uncovered by bondo. If its a mess , I don't fool with buying them. This was a yard find, the owner purchased it with a bad rear end and tried to drive it. She fried it and never fixed it. I found it after 2 years of her owning it. It still had the original California Tag on the front bumper. The Truck gets attention from every one that sees it. It Sounds amazing with its low rumble from the true dual flowmaster tucked exhaust. Motor Doesn't Smoke or Knock, In fact it purrs like a sewing machine like the videos show taken 8/30/2014. Comes with receipts from new parts and work listed below: 4 New Coker Radial Wide Whitewall Tires New rear brake cylinders, New master cylinder, New Brake Sensor Switch, adjusted all brakes , partially replaced brake lines New Front & Rear Chrome Bumpers New Interior Carpet, Headliner, Door Panels, Seat Cover, Visor Covers New Dual Flowmaster Exhaust Rebuilt Rear End Rebuilt/ Balanced Driveshaft New Carburetor New Spark Plugs, Cap, Rotor, Points, Condensor New Fuel Pump, Cleaned & Sealed tank, New Sending Unit New radiator hoses & Coolant. Also Comes w/ spare new water pump that I couldn't return . Solid, Solid BODY & Frame Tight Motor New F100 Red Emblems Polished other Badges New Clear front turn signals Replaced turn bulbs. Wiper motor is strong Truck turns and shifts very smooth. Happy Bidding! Truck is sold As Is/ & Buyer is responsible for any shipping or freight charges . I will be happy to arrange someone to meet for pickup or to help meet with barge marina loading dock after tow truck of your choice brings it there. Buyer to pay $2000 in full non-refundable to paypal immediately after winning and the remaining balance within 7 days and before truck can be picked up or delivered.

The hottest modern sports cars rendered as rally racers
Thu, Jan 14 2016The modern-day World Rally Championship a monumental amount of fun to watch – I should know, as I recently was lucky enough to head to the UK to watch WRC Wales Rally GB – but even the most monstrous of the current WRC cars are based on fairly pedestrian European hatchbacks. Back in the heyday of rally, the Group B era in the 1980s, much hotter cars were the basis of even more incredible competition machines, for the most part. Take the exotic Ford RS200, or the Lancia Delta S4 with its twin-charged engine. And the hatchback-based Group B cars were bonkers, too. So what would some of our favorite modern cars look like if Group B had never ended? A British site named CarWow hired an artist to reimagine everything from the Rolls-Royce Wraith to the Porsche 911 as a retro-inspired rally car, and they were kind enough to let us share the results in the gallery above. The gallery features an Alfa Romeo Giulia in Martini livery, an Audi TT in classic Ur-Quattro colors, a Fiat 500 Abarth sporting massive flares and a hood blister full of auxiliary lights, a new Ford Mustang in RS200 livery, a Lancia Delta in Alitalia colors, a Porsche 911 in Rothmans livery, a Renault-Alpine in classic blue, a Rolls-Royce Wraith tribute to the Jules cologne Corniche Coupe, and a relatively modern-looking VW Touran. So far, the favorite around the office is the incredible Mercedes-Benz S-Class that is an homage to the wonderful 300 SEL 6.8 AMG "Red Pig" that essentially put AMG on the map. Check out the gallery above and see which one you like the best. Related Video:
NHTSA investigating Ford's solution to May 2014 power steering recall
Tue, Apr 7 2015The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating a complaint that Ford's response to a May 2014 recall of the 2008 to 2011 Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner doesn't quite go far enough to solve a troubling power-steering problem. Roughly a year ago, Ford recalled nearly a million vehicles after it was found that a problem with the torque sensor's communication with the power steering control module could cut steering assistance for drivers. While manual steering would still be available, the problem was enough to ask drivers to report in to have the PSCM inspected, and if necessary, replaced (along with the torque sensor, or in dramatic cases, the entire steering column). That would only happen, though, if trouble codes were being thrown. If there weren't any problems, dealers were told to simply update the PSCM's software so that any issues between it and the torque sensor would simply throw a visual and audio warning – power steering would still be maintained. The petitioner claimed that following the recall work, he still experienced a problem with the torque sensor. According to NHTSA, a claim was made that Ford didn't go far enough in its solution to the problem, and that "the software update itself may in fact cause further issues with the affected vehicle's power steering, causing it to fail, and ultimately requiring replacement of the torque sensor or entire steering column." The petition was filed in early February and is now officially being looked into by NHTSA.
Weekly Recap: Ford guns for 2016 Le Mans glory with new GT
Sat, Jun 13 2015On the eve of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ford confirmed it will return to the French endurance race in 2016 and campaign the new GT racecar 50 years after three GT40s swept the podium at the Circuit de la Sarthe. The factory will back a two-team, four-car effort that will compete in the World Endurance Championship and the Tudor United SportsCar Championship running cars operated by Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates. The GT racecar will make its track debut in January at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, and the driver lineup will be announced later. "But rest assured, there's quite a line forming out the door," Ganassi said at the announcement. The GT is the modern successor to the iconic GT40, which won Le Mans four straight years from 1966-1969. The racecar is a rolling testbed of Ford's latest technologies, including a powerful twin-turbo EcoBoost V6. The car also makes extensive use of carbon-fiber pieces and advanced aerodynamics. Ford tapped Multimatic Motorsports of Canada and Roush Yates Engines to aid in the development of the GT racer. The road-going version, which was revealed in January at the Detroit Auto Show, is also set to launch next year. It caps Ford's growing performance lineup, and the company has ambitious plans to launch more than 12 new sporty models by 2020, including hot metal like the Focus RS, F-150 Raptor, and Shelby GT350R. The GT embodies Ford's best tech, but news of its return to Le Mans immediately conjured images of the company's fierce rivalry in the 1960s with Ferrari and intense competition with Porsche. "When the GT40 competed at Le Mans in the 1960s, Henry Ford II sought to prove Ford could beat endurance racing's most legendary manufacturers," Ford executive chairman Bill Ford said in a statement. "We are still extremely proud of having won this iconic race four times in a row, and that same spirit that drove the innovation behind the first Ford GT still drives us today." Ford is going back to Le Mans. Somewhere, Hank the Deuce must be smiling.
