In the '50s, Ford F100 was simply a pickup truck designed to put in a full day's work without any complain. Now days they are highly a collectables car that make very nice rides. Texas Classic Cars of Dallas present to you this 1955 Ford F100 Pickup Truck.

Built and put together not long ago, this burgundy paint captures great curves of the Ford's design. The 1955 pickup styling was clean and modern, but it had way more to it, it looked more like a truck, tough, solid, practical and handsome explaining its success when new and also as a collector vehicle.

Classic chrome 5-spoke Panther Juice wheels in place and Toyo tires.

Restored recently, but not a frame off restoration, fit and finish in some parts is fair and in others needs some more work. The front grille is an example of how good the design back in the 50s was.

The bed is still in need of work. Also the 4 holes in the top of the side rails need addressing.

The body is solid.

A grey leather custom bucket seats, and a black/silver painted dashboard contrast nicely with the red paint outside. To add more upgrades to the truck, power windows are in place and A/C as well.

A more modern gauge cluster is displayed, all of them are in working order.

The doors open with a remote control. Vintage Air cools the cab.

The window on the passengers side is not working currently, one complete floor mat compliments the interior for a better look.

Pop the hood open and you will find a 351 crate V8 engine.

The undercarriage is solid and in good condition throughout.

Ford reports $3B profit in Q4, $6.9B for the year

Good news out of Dearborn today, as Ford announced $3 billion in profit for the last quarter of 2013, a 90-percent increase over the same period of 2012. Net income for all of last year, meanwhile, jumped to $7.2 billion from $5.7 billion in 2012, while pre-tax profits sat at a decade-topping $6.9 billion for all of 2013.
The results of the substantial profit increases are bigger profit-sharing checks for UAW employees. How big? A record $8,800 on average for 47,000 UAW workers, making 2013 the biggest year for profit sharing in Ford history. In total, $414 million will be paid as part of the profit-sharing scheme.
Now, it should be pointed out that a fair portion of Ford's Q4 profits were due to tax benefits, totaling $2.1 billion, according to Automotive News. Total profits would have also been higher, had there not been a significant recall on the Escape, as well as plant issues in South America.

Ford EcoBoost V6 hits the dyno before hitting the track

Ford Racing just unveiled the Riley Daytona Prototype that will make its racing in the United SportsCar Racing Championship Rolex 24 at Daytona in January, and now it has released a video showing development of twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that powers the car. Using the same block and heads that can be found on a production Ford Taurus SHO, this new racecar benefits from the collaboration between Ford Racing and Ford powertrain engineers.
While we still don't know what kind of power this engine is putting out, it has definitely gotten a workout at Ford's 17G dyno. This area deep within Ford allows the automaker's racing program to work hand-in-hand with production engine programs, which can be a benefit to racing operations and production cars alike. Carmakers, NHTSA to unveil auto-emergency braking agreement tomorrow

Happy St. Patrick's Day Eve. Tomorrow, there will be green beer, corned beef and cabbage, and automatic emergency braking for all. Weird combo, we know. But on St. Patty's we can expect an official announcement from a pact of automakers making auto-braking systems standard equipment by 2022. That's per a report from Reuters, which cites three sources familiar with the plans. Originally announced in September 2015 by 10 automakers and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the agreement is expected to be even larger when the details are unveiled tomorrow. According to Reuters, the manufacturers of 99 percent of the US domestic market's vehicles will be represented by the new agreement. It's believed that standard AEB systems could prevent thousands of accidents across the country. Expect more on the official announcement when it's made. Related Video:
