Here I have is a real Barn Find 1954 F-100 Short Bed Truck,, Last Inspection Sticker is 1974, so you can see its been awhile since she's been on the road. Has Clear NC Title with matching numbers that matches the data plate that was mounted on the glove box lid. Now for all the details
Motor does not run since it's locked up but is complete,,, Transmission is free and does shift in all gears,,, All wheels turn freely, no brakes since been sitting, does steer very good.. Under the hood all is still intact like it came from 1954 down to the 6-Volt Battery under the floor board
Body Condition:, has surface rust as seen in pics, But no Cancer in a lot of places as you would expect, I found couple of pin holes in Pass/ side cab corner, Drivers Side behind wheel showing some cancer, Doors/Hood seem to be holding up good since we hit it with a high pressure washer, Front/Rear Fenders are still nice with no real cancer showing, Running Boards same way, Still looks like Original Wood in the bed with the bed strips still showing some original green, as well you can see in pics as well all inside of the cab still original green down to the black center hump still showing its true color. Dash still intact and unmolested also. All windows roll up and down very smoothly, vent windows work good as well as the doors open and close very good without slaming the door, The hood opens and closes and stays in the upright position, but only the safety catch works, the main latch might be stuck open so it does not latch. I also did noticed that on the hood it still has the factory wire that goes around the hood hinge bolts thats rare to see, so that shows the hood has never been off,, Tailgate is very rough as you can see that, Bed sides are very straight with no cancer, Front bed panel is bent in middle at top, Does Not have the Factory Wheels all that are on it are mis-matched, But can provide them at a extra charge, Still has the Factory Spare Tire Carrier Assembly under the bed, but no tire, Right Fender does have damage on it but fixable, and thats the only dent I see in the whole truck
This is a 1954 F-100 Truck that back in 1954 was called a 5 Star Cab in which another name woud be a Custom Cab Truck which has Stainless Steel Vent Frames, Dual Door Locks, Dual Sunvisors, Stainless Steel Drip Rail Molding, Locking Glove Box,, Boomerangs around the F-100 emblem, trim pices on the grill,,, also even showing its age this truck came with door panels, headliner also carboard that covered behind the seat as well
Also something else here @ Flashback F100's whenever we sell a truck we will in writing give 10% off any parts for this vehicle like we have done for others that we sold in the past, ++++ We carry many other parts www.flashbackf100s.com for 1948-2008 trucks, as well sometimes other whole trucks, Usually we sell 100% Rust Free Trucks/Parts in all years but in this case it was a barn find where its hard to find no cancer, I would say that this truck is about 90% Cancer Free, I have been around the 53-56 trucks since 1972 so I do know what to look for and when the truck is a total basket case, by far this is not like that, especially if your looking for a unmolested truck that has all the parts
Now as far as payment, need deposit of 500.00 within 48 hours, Cash for balance, That means if you pay with Cashiers Check, Money Order, or any other check there will bea hold of 10 Days before above Vehicle will be released AN NO OUT OF THE COUNTRY SCAMS,WIRE TRANSFERS or whatever you scammers can think of , I will not even answer your stupid request
Transportation will have to be provided by you since this vehicle only rolls and DOES NOT RUN,, We can deliver for you but will be 1.25-1.50 per mile round trip for our truck top deliver,, so its best to do it your self, drive here, go to U-Haul then rent trailer and then go home with it
Last Item, I will have this truck For Sale at the Spring Daytona Swap Meet Car Show @ the Daytona International Speedway this weekend which the dates are March 23/24 th but I will be there the 21/22d so I can get you in if your their early, so bring your trailer, If that happens I will end it early, also have it on our new arrivals page for Sale as well....

Ford forced to recall Escape over fire risk yet again
Tue, 26 Nov 2013Recalls happen. Automakers hope they won't, but they do. And that's alright, for the most part, because cars are designed (and to a large degree still made) by humans, and humans make mistakes. So we forgive them, as long as the problem is resolved. Only in the case of the Ford Escape, the problem seems to keep coming back.
That's why Ford is calling in the Escape yet again due to fire concerns. The issue revolves around problematic fuel lines in 9,469 units manufactured between October 5, 2011, and July 11, 2012, all of which use the 1.6-liter EcoBoost inline four-cylinder engine.
As you yourself may recall, the Escape was subject to a string of recalls last year that resulted in a $17 million fine. One of them was over this very same issue, which Ford apparently didn't rectify the first time around. Let's hope this time is the last time.
2016 Ford F-150 gets new Limited model
Tue, Jul 21 2015The average price paid for a full-size pickup this year is $42,429. Ram is right at that mark, with an average price of $42,256, the Chevrolet Silverado is below it, at $38,384, and the Ford F-150 is above, at $46,573. That average transaction price is thirty percent higher than it was six years ago, and that F-150 price is eight percent higher than one year ago. We can thank that escalation for the arrival of the new F-150 Limited, a truck that Ford says responds to the "growing needs of discerning truck customers interested in exclusivity, capability and craftsmanship." Reuters went further, saying customers want "trucks that could substitute for a higher end German sedan." Billed as "the most advanced, luxurious F-150 ever," everything has been thrown at the standard features list. Buyers will get the luxury modifiers we expect from Europeans, like Mojave leather throughout, climate-controlled, massaging front seats, heated rear seats, and fiddleback eucalyptus wood. Driver assistance systems are legion, including a 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control, active park assist, a remote tailgate release, and SYNC3. Ford's new Pro Trailer Backup Assist will be an option. As if that won't be enough to tell it from the less luxurious models, the Limited sits on unique 22-inch wheels, the word "Limited" is written on the hood, the VIN is laser engraved in a plaque in the armrest, and the grille, tailgate, and door handles get a satin chrome finish among other changes. Only four exterior colors make the palette: Shadow Black, Magnetic, Blue Jeans and White Platinum Metallic tri-coat. The sole engine offered is the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 with 365 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. We've been talking about luxury trucks for years now, and Ford's competition is in the game, too - Chevy has its Silverado High Country, Ram its Laramie Limited. This new F-150 Limited, however, raises all bets. It will go on sale this winter at an as-yet-unknown price, but since the current top-of-the-line Platinum starts at $51,585, we have a feeling that getting a Limited out the door under $60K will be near impossible. Admire the new seduction in the images above, the press release below has more.
Ford director says company has big efficiency plans, but no dedicated EV
Wed, Mar 12 2014The annual autofest known as the North American International Auto Show previews a plethora of exciting new products that we'll see and drive later in the year, from tiny urban commuters to family sedans and crossovers to hard-working big pickups and SUVs. It's also a once-a-year cornucopia of auto executives and leaders from around the world. "There will be some really fun stuff that you'll hear about in the future" - Ford's Kevin Layden So, in-between dozens of cool new-product unveilings on rotating stages during the two press days preceding the public show, we auto scribes grab what planned and impromptu interviews we can. Sessions with top industry leaders can be hard to get, but I was able to score a seat in a group session with then-General Motors North America president (now executive VP of global product development) Mark Reuss, and I also managed brief one-on-ones with a trio of vehicle electrification leaders, one each from Ford, BMW and GM, and what they said then remains relevant now. First up is Kevin Layden, Ford's Director of Electrified Powertrain Engineering. ABG: Where will Ford go beyond its current Focus EV and hybrids, and will there be a Ford EV and/or hybrid on its own energy-optimized platform one day. KL: We don't want to do a dedicated electric vehicle with all the development costs borne by a niche product. At the Michigan Assembly plant right now we're building the Focus electric, PHEV and EcoBoost on the same assembly line. Also the C-Max, with both a hybrid and an Energi plug-in, and we use that same power pack in the Fusion Hybrid and Energi. We want to be, "The power of choice" [a Ford marketing slogan], so having that choice for customers is very important. And if I want to sell the Fusion, Focus and C-Max globally, we can use these power packs wherever it makes sense. So as we go forward, you'll see us proliferating the power packs we have today. Then the question is, what do we do next? There will be some really fun stuff that you'll hear about in the future. ABG: Is the efficiency difference between a dedicated ultra-efficient vehicle platform and a shared multi-use platform getting smaller as all platforms get more efficient? KL: Exactly. Were going through aero studies now on wheels and tires and hood sealers on base vehicles. We have full aerodynamic wind tunnel studies going on with the base Focus and C-Max, so all of that [aerodynamic improvement] will be there for EVs.
