 2005 FORD EXCURSION 4WD 6.0 DIESEL / EDDIE BAUER

VIN: 1FMSU45P75EC25208

THERE ARE OVER 80 IMAGES OF THIS TRUCK SHOWN BELOW!

DESCRIPTION:

This NO RESERVE auction is for a super clean 2005 FORD EXCURSION 4WD, EDDIE BAUER EDITION with low original mileage. This was the final model year for these vehicles and in our opinion there hasn't been anything on the market since then that rivals them. Whatever the task at hand, the Excursion can handle it without even breaking a sweat. The 6.0 liter POWER STROKE diesel engine produces 325 horsepower and a stump pulling 560 pounds feet of torque! The cargo space of 146.4 cubic feet was the most ever offered in any SUV. An Edmunds article states that if you are in the market for an Excursion, the last two years it was made ('04 & '05), with the 6.0 diesel, is the one to look for. That engine was also the only one produced with a 5-speed automatic transmission, instead of 4, with a column switch controlled TOW/HAUL mode.

This deluxe SUV has just under 89,000 actual miles, as shown. The exterior is nearly flawless and the interior looks as if it was never used. The owner preferred to leave this truck basically stock, but added a few premium items such as: SiriusXM radio, smoke side window rain vent shields and front hood air/bug deflector, BULLY trailer hitch receiver step, FUMOTO oil drain valve, HUSKY front floor mat protectors and (full rear floor protector not shown), PRODIGY electronic trailer braking system fully integrated, cross drilled and slotted ventilated stainless steel rotors and ceramic disc brake pads on all four (4) wheels, ROUGH COUNTRY horizontal stabilizer, NUC Motorsports deluxe bypass oil filter filtration kit.

The stock equipment complementing this SUV include, but are not limited to, the list in small print that we have shown below:

6.0 LITER POWER STROKE V8 DIESEL, AIR BAG RESTRAINT - DRIVER, AIR BAG RESTRAINT - PASSENGER, EXTRA HEAVY DUTY ALTERNATOR, REAR SEAT AUDIO CONTROLS, AM/FM STEREO/6 DISC CD CHANGER, 3.73 FINAL DRIVE RATIO, 7000 LB REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY, LIMITED SLIP REAR AXLE, 5200 LB FRONT AXLE, HEAVY DUTY BATTERIES (2), 4 WHEEL ANTI-LOCK BRAKES, FRONT BUMPER - STEEL, COLOR-KEYED/PAINTED, REVERSE PROXIMITY SENSOR, REAR BUMPER - STEEL, COLOR-KEYED/PAINTED, CLIMATE CONTROL AIR CONDITIONING, REAR AIR CONDITIONING, COMFORT PACK, FULL FLOOR CONSOLE, OVERHEAD CONSOLE, CONVENIENCE GROUP, 50 STATE EMISSIONS, REAR FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM (DVD),SIRIUS / XM RADIO, EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES - COLOR KEYED, DUAL BAND BODYSIDE ACCEPT STRIPE, FULL FLOOR COVERING - CARPET, FRONT CARPETED FLOOR MATS, REAR CARPETED FLOOR MATS, ADJUSTABLE ACCELERATOR/BRAKE FOOT PEDALS, UNIQUE BODY COLORED GRILLE, 9200 LB GVW, HOMELINK UNIVERSAL TRANSMITTER, TRIPMINDER, DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOOR TRIM PANEL LEVEL 5, INTERIOR CARPETS - FULL COVERAGE, HUSKY RUBBER MATS DRIVER & PASSENGER & (FULL CARGO AREA NOT SHOWN), FRONT FOG LIGHTS, DUAL BEAM DOME MAP LIGHTS, AUTOMATIC HEADLAMP CONTROL, JEWELED HEADLAMPS, FRONT LICENSE PLATE BRACKET, POWER DOOR LOCKS, DOOR ENTRY REMOTE CONTROL UNIT, REMOTE START, BLOCK HEATER, MEMORY PACKAGE, DUAL POWER HEATED MIRRORS WITH ILLUMINATED TURN SIGNAL, ELECTROCHROMIC INSIDE MIRROR, LOWER PAINTED CLADDING, ROOF RACK WITH CROSSBARS ,FRONT SEAT CAPTAIN'S CHAIRS - DRIVER AND PASSENGER, DRIVER & PASSENGER HEATED SEATS, POWER 6 WAY DRIVER & PASSENGER SEAT ADJUSTERS, SECOND ROW 60/40 EASY ENTRY SPLIT SEAT, THIRD ROW SEATING FOLDING AND REMOVABLE BENCH SEAT, SPEED CONTROL (CRUISE CONTROL), TILT STEERING WHEEL, DELUXE STEERING WHEEL WITH CONTROLS, CHROME RUNNING BOARDS, FRONT & REAR STABILIZER BARS, FRONT TOWING HOOKS, LT265/75R/16 B.F. GOODRICH TIRES, TRAILER TOW HEAVY DUTY, HEAVY DUTY TRAILER TOW PACKAGE - 11,000 LB TOW CAPACITY, 5 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, ELECTRONIC TRANSFER CASE (4WD) WITH AUTO HUBS, EDDIE BAUER PREMIER GROUP VERSION, DUAL ILLUMINATED VISOR MIRRORS (DRIVER & PASSENGER), INTERMITTENT REAR WINDOW WASHER/WIPER, SPEED SENSITIVE FRONT WINDSHIELD WIPERS, 7.0 X 16" FORGED PREMIUM ALUMINUM WHEELS, ELECTRIC REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER, POWER REAR QUARTER VENT WINDOWS, PRIVACY GLASS, KEYLESS ENTRY KEYPAD ON DRIVER DOOR, DELUXE OVERHEAD COMPUTER WITH COMPASS, OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE, FUEL ECONOMY/DISTANCE INFORMATION, REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY WITH: ILLUMINATED ENTRY, PANIC ALARM, ANTI-THEFT ALARM ACTIVATION, LIFTGATE WINDOW WITH WIPER/WASHER/DEFROSTER OVER LOWER CARGO DOORS,

The B.F. Goodrich Rugged Terrain LT265/75R16 tires are all brand new. A recent fix to repair a minor oil cooler gasket leak led to the replacement of the oil cooler and kit, the EGR cooler, thermostat and oil pressure switch, just to prevent any future problems from the possible failure of those parts. The alternator and serpentine belt were recently replaced as were the two batteries. Fresh gold Motorcraft antifreeze was supplied to the flushed out cooling system. The fuel injection control module (FICM) and the fuel pump were also replaced. A recent trip of several hundred mixed miles delivered an average of over 19 miles per gallon! If you are looking for reliable, heavy duty, four wheel drive transportation, this is an SUV that you should give your most serious consideration.

Noticed flaws were few and only included a few very minor blemishes in the exterior finish and a small tight semi-circle windshield fracture (1 inch) by the passenger side windshield wiper on the outside end. We will replace the windshield if you like at no charge, but feared more problems from a replacement than a tiny non-spreading blemish on the original one. There is an abundance of additional general information about these trucks on the internet if you are looking for technical data or performance details. We throughly road tested this Excursion and were completely impressed by the entire vehicle and how it behaved in all regards!  Please refer to the current CARFAX REPORT to assure yourselves of the correct flawless history: 2005 FORD EXCURSION (1FMSU45P75EC25208)

Wards names its 2015 10 Best Interiors list

Fri, Apr 17 2015

Wards Automotive has named the winners of its 10 Best Interior awards, covering a wide but affordable array of vehicles. Where last year's list contained two six-figure vehicles, including the $372,800 Rolls-Royce Wraith, this year's is, well, a whole lot more reasonable. The publication lists the Mercedes-Benz C400 at $65,000 (which seems off), making it the most expensive vehicle here. That said, we'd argue that the entire C-Class line deserves to make this year's list, owing to its varied and high-quality selection of materials. The other vehicle to break the $60,000 mark, meanwhile, is the $60,675 Ford F-150 King Ranch, which has 327,000 pounds of leather lining its interior. Only one other German car, the BMW i3, and one other pickup truck, the GMC Canyon, managed to make this year's list. Here's the full list of this year's winners: 2014 BMW i3 ($52,550) 2015 Chrysler 300C Platinum ($51,175) 2015 Ford F-150 King Ranch ($60,675) 2015 GMC Canyon SLT ($40,465) 2015 Honda Fit EX-L ($21,590) 2015 Jeep Renegade Limited ($33,205) 2015 Kia Sedona SXL ($43,295) 2016 Mazda6 Grand Touring ($33,395) 2015 Mercedes C400 ($65,000) 2015 Nissan Murano SL ($41,905) See what we mean about the mainstream vehicles? Not only is there a distinct lack of luxury brands, it's the price of some of the vehicles that surprise. The Honda Fit, Jeep Renegade and Mazda6 are very reasonably priced, especially when you compare Wards price with the starting price. The Renegade Limited starts at less than $25,000, the Mazda at less than $22K and the Fit at under $16,000. Head over to Wards for a more detailed explanation of why each vehicle won. Our love of SUVs is killing people in the streets

Tue, Jul 17 2018

Americans are fond of supersized fast-food meals and colossal convenience-store fountain drinks, even though they're clearly bad for our health and U.S. adults keep getting fatter. We also like large vehicles, and our love affair with SUVs is killing people in the streets. According to a recent investigation by the Detroit Free Press/USA Today, the increase in SUV sales over the past several years coincides with a sharp rise in pedestrian deaths in the U.S. — up 46 percent since 2009, with nearly 6,000 people killed in 2016 alone. With SUV sales surpassing sedans in 2014 and pickups and SUVs currently accounting for 60 percent of new vehicle sales, it's no wonder Ford announced in April plans to cease U.S. sales of almost all passenger cars. And this followed Fiat Chrysler's move to virtually an all-truck, -SUV and -crossover lineup. While the Freep/USA Today investigation found that the simultaneous surge in SUV sales and pedestrian deaths comes down to vehicle size, it also points to a lack of action on the part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), even though it knew of the dangers SUVs pose to pedestrians. Also blamed are automakers dragging their feet on implementing active safety features. Using federal accident data, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) determined that there was an 81 percent increase in single-vehicle pedestrian fatalities involving SUVs between 2009 and 2016. Freep/USA Today's analysis of the same data by counting vehicles that struck and killed pedestrians instead of the number of people killed showed a 69 percent increase in SUV involvement. As far back as 2001, researchers at Rowan University forecasted a rise in pedestrian deaths as Americans began switching to SUVs. "In the United States, passenger vehicles are shifting from a fleet populated primarily by cars to a fleet dominated by light trucks and vans," the researchers wrote, with light trucks comprising SUVs.

‘American Auto’ fires on most cylinders

Tue, Dec 14 2021

If you like cars or you enjoyed “Superstore” then “American Auto” is worth your time. NBC previewed the punchy sitcom last night ahead of the series premiere Jan. 4, and it offers a humorous take on the U.S. auto industry as seen through the team at fictional Payne Motors. Overseen by Justin Spitzer, the creator of “Superstore” and a producer on “The Office,” the two episodes that dropped Monday show Payne executives trying to navigate the challenges of the modern auto business.  “Saturday Night Live” alum Ana Gasteyer stars as a pharmaceutical exec turned Payne CEO. The cast also includes Harriet Dyer as stressed-out PR boss, Sadie; Tye White as Jack, a factory worker who gets promoted to the C-suite; and former “Superstore” cast member Jon Barinholtz as the company scion, Wesley, who has no job responsibilities and is employed because of his name. The cast also includes X Mayo, Michael Benjamin Washington and Humphrey Ker as executives. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Autoblog -- thatÂ’s us -- gets name-checked early in the second episode (2:37 into the show) for "our" critical take on GasteyerÂ’s introduction of the Payne Ponderosa, a car the company scrambled to build in time for its auto show reveal.  GasteyerÂ’s CEO character walks in on a meeting between Sadie and Jack -- their budding romance appears to be part of the story arc -- and blurts out “Autoblog says hasty HastingsÂ’ premature launch,” apparently a reference to a headline that pans the Ponderosa. Looking at the cartoonish wagon-like thing, itÂ’s well-earned criticism. Perhaps the writers know of us -- weÂ’ve been around for nearly 18 years and are read by millions each month -- or thought ‘AutoblogÂ’ sounded like a good name for a car website. Either way. The pilot is centered on the Ponderosa and its troubled development (the first version of the car ran over people). Episode 2 features a Ponderosa Magellan van being used by a serial killer in a police chase. Titled “White Van,” the episode is obviously reminiscent of O.J. SimpsonÂ’s 1994 chase in a white Ford Bronco. ThereÂ’s also some Michigan references, which help to set the scene. One character has a Wayne State degree on the wall and the Magellan flees on Interstate 94, which runs through the state.
