If you have been searching for one of these and know what they are, then here is your chance to own one of the nicest ones still on the road. Best of all, this beautifully kept truck has only 83,923miles on it. The body is straight as an arrow, no dents at all on this rust free truck. This excursion has been garage kept, and all preventive maintenance has been completed by the dealer. The engine is a 6.0 diesel the has never been modified or abused, and is mechanically sound. This truck is all stock except for the aftermarket wheels and tires, costing in excess of $3500. The wheels are 22 inch chrome wrapped in Falkens. The truck has never been used to tow, although it has the capacity to tow whatever you have if need be. The interior looks practically new. There are no rips, cracks, burns, etc. The leather seats are in phenomenal condition. Ice cold front and rear A/C for these brutal summers months, and truck has hot heat and dual heated seats for those cold winters. This is the limited edition model, in arguably the most desirable color combination, black on tan. This truck needs nothing, other than a driver or a family to enjoy it for years to come. They dont make them anymore, let alone make them like this. The paint looks like youre looking into a mirror, it shines like the day it was new. No rock chips are even present. If you are in the market, then you owe it to yourself to look at this beauty. I hate to let it go, but we have just purchased a new escalade for the family vehicle. I have owned 3 excursions, currently own 2, and this is a true beauty. You can search the country and find one for less, but not with these miles or in this condition. If seriously interested, feel free to make an appointment with me to see it. I will happily answer any questions about any specifics you may have. I welcome any and all inspections to satisfy yourself as to the condition and functionality of all systems. Please note this gorgeous, well kept excursion is used, and as such, may have minor imperfections as with any used vehicle. Additionally, please dont waste my time and bid if you do not have the funds or loans arranged for. I am willing to work with your shipper, but the costs associated with are the responsibility of the buyer. I can also pick you up at the Nashville International Airport should you decide to fly in and drive it home. I am located just a few miles south of downtown Nashville. Here is your opportunity for an incredible excursion that may never come along again. This is the last year this model was made available, and the 2005 model year produced the fewest excursions of any other year, making it effectively the most exclusive model year of all the excursions. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thanks for your interest.

Introducing the 1965 Ford Mustang
Sat, 24 Aug 2013Put on your space suits and diving bell helmets, for it's time to step into a time capsule. The 50th anniversary of a historic model, like, say, the Porsche 911 this year, is certain to bring flights of nostalgia. This historical trip with the 1965 Mustang, though - preliminary hype for next year's anniversary, we know - is a swell museum exhibit for anyone who enjoys bygone days of the automobile.
Lee Iaccoca gave a speech to motoring journalists on April 1, 1964 at the New York World's Fair to introduce a sporty car for younger drivers. His opening line: "Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to one of the proudest moments of our lives." The company was so excited by what it had made that the Mustang was Ford's first "International Press Introduction," being introduced to some 2,000 journos around the world on the same day in the US and 11 European cities. Even through its difficult points, no one at the time could have known how well the Mustang would acquit that pride.
After the intro, the press drove Mustangs 750 miles from New York to Dearborn, MI, reading press kits that touted features like the "vertical, three-sectional taillights/turn signals," "170" six-cylinder engine with 101 horsepower and the available Cruise-O-Matic transmission.
2016 Ford Focus RS shows up in Geneva, still bound for America [w/video]
Tue, Mar 3 2015Representing the super-hot hatchback movement at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, we have the 2015 Ford Focus RS, the third-generation to wear the performance-focused designation. Bound for America for the first time, it's fair to say we're darn excited for the Focus RS and its 2.3-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder. With at least 315 horsepower under the hood and the long-awaited inclusion of an all-wheel-drive system, there's little arguing that the RS will be seriously quick off the line. It should be darn good through the bends, too. The all-wheel-drive system packs a Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control system that sends up to 70 percent of the power to the rear axle. On top of the AWD's torque vectoring ability, the Focus RS adds a brake-based torque vectoring system, which transfers power laterally, as needed. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires should only help keep the RS glued to the tarmac. A three-pedal setup is the sole transmission option, which should delight purists. According to Ford, both the clutch and the trans itself have been bolstered to handle the 2.3-liter's power. Ford also comprehensively upgraded the looks of the Focus RS relative to the lesser Focus ST. Its enormous rear wing and the back bumper's rear diffuser complement the car's menacing face. The ST's center-exit exhaust has been ditched for a meaty set of pipes, while the car on display in Geneva shows off a different set of alloys than what we saw during the car's original debut. Check out our full gallery of live photos of this hot Ford, available up top. And be sure to check out our Short Cut of the new hot hatch by scrolling down. 70% of pickups could use aluminum by 2025
Wed, 11 Jun 2014In the next decade, the auto industry will see an explosion in its use of aluminum to cut weight and increase fuel economy, according to a study from market analysts Ducker Worldwide cited by The Detroit News. We are already seeing the lightweight metal show up extensively in luxury models from Europe, but with the impending launch of aluminum-intensive 2015 Ford F-150 (pictured above), North America is using it even more, as well. The report predicts 70 percent of US pickups to have aluminum bodies by 2025.
It won't just be pickups that see the benefit, though. The average amount of aluminum in US vehicles is forecasted by the study to grow from an average of 350 pounds in 2013 to about 550 pounds by 2025. The most common parts to use it will be hoods, doors and - to some extent - roofs, as well.
The massive increase in pickups' aluminum content hardly seems surprising. The F-150 is predicted to use so much that it might cause a short-term shortage, according to one earlier report. At the same time General Motors is heavily rumored to be negotiating with suppliers for the next generation Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. Ram is the last holdout of the Big Three, but the study predicts that not to last.
