I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN JUNE OF 2002 FROM THE INSURANCE CO AS SALVEGE I BOUGHT THIS TO PULL MY SHOW CAR AND I PURCHASED IT SALVAGE BECAUSE THAT IS HOW I HAVE BEEN BUYING MY CARS SINCE I WAS IN MY 20'S. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM!!!!!. I PICKED UP THE TRUCK IN PHOENIX IN JUNE OF 2002 WITH JUST OVER 2,000 MILES ON IT AND I DROVE IT BACK FROM CALIFORNIA WITHOUT A PROBLEM. IT DIDN'T TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED, BUT IT LOOKED LIKE IT WENT OFF ROADING IM A CACTUS RANCH. IT HAD LOTS OF CACTUS STUCK IN IT. NO MAJOR DENTS, NO FRAME DAMAGE. IT STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL RADIATOR AND AIR COND  CONDENSOR IN IT. I PUT ON TWO NEW FACTORY FENDERS, NEW GRILLE, FIXED A SMALL DENT IN THE HOOD AND OTHER MINOR DENTS AROUND THE VEHICLE. I PULLED NY TRAILER TO MICHIGAN IN 2003, AND TO MAYBE 5 MORE CALIFORNIA SHOWS BEFORE I GAVE IT UP DUE TO HEALTH REASONS. I AM NOW 73,HANDICAPPED, AND I NEED THE MONEY AND NOT THE TRUCK!!! THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH IT IF YOU CAN GET PAST THE SALVAGE TITLE. IT HAD A PERFORMANCE CHIP IN IT AND THE PROGRAMMER GOES WITH THE VEHICLE. IT ALSO HAS SPECIAL SHOCKS AND REAR AIR SUSPENSION SO YOU CAN KEEP THE TRUCK LEVEL WHEN TOWING. I THINK THE AIR SUSP NEEDS MAYBE A BAG OR LINE, BECAUSE IT IS NOT CURRENTLY WORKING. IT WILL NEED TIRES SOON WHICH I WILL PUT ON IF I GET A REASONABLE PRICE.

I WILL SHIP THIS ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD AND I CAN GET A REASONABLE PRICE WITHIN THE US.

Ford ditching Microsoft in favor of BlackBerry QNX for next-gen Sync?

Mon, 24 Feb 2014

Ask the average consumer - at least, those who follow the goings-on in the automotive industry - which carmaker they'd most closely associate Microsoft, and the answer you'd most likely get would be Ford. The Blue Oval automaker, after all, was at the forefront of bringing Microsoft technology into cars with its pioneering Sync system, and, though reality didn't turn out as such, Ford's CEO was recently touted as a potential future head of the Redmond-based software giant. But that relationship, according to the latest reports, could be coming to an end.
Alan Mullaly kiboshed the idea of leaving Dearborn for Redmond, but more importantly Ford is tipped to be ditching Microsoft in developing its next-generation Sync system. In its place, Ford is expected to partner with BlackBerry's QNX division.
Now, before you go balking "BlackBerry?! But they're finished!" consider that QNX is (or at least was) an independent entity that Research In Motion (as BlackBerry's Ontario-based parent company was then known) just happened to have bought back in 2010. QNX provides control systems to everything from nuclear power plants and UAVs to automakers like Audi, BMW and Porsche.

Brits recreate iconic Bullitt chase scene

Tue, 13 May 2014

Recreating the famous chase scene from Bullitt has become almost an art form in its own right. We've seen it done in a music video, with scale models and even in commercials. There are few films that are as defined by a single scene as the 1968 classic. Even if you don't know a single beat of the plot, the Highland Green Ford Mustang racing a Dodge Charger through the hilly streets of San Francisco is famous. It's so well known that the Silverstone Classic has created a homage to promote its celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang at this year's event in July.
Filmed around the famous UK circuit, the short film generally gets the key points of the scene right. It even has a green Volkswagen Beetle that keeps reappearing, as in the movie. Unfortunately, its Steve McQueen stand-in looks a little too old for the role. While the video shortens the chase considerably, it's still great to see these '60s behemoths leaning and sliding around the track. Scroll down for a touch of nostalgia thanks to one of the greatest scenes ever in cinema - we've got both the recreation and the original chase seen from the movie waiting for you.

Performance CNG wants to crowdfund natural gas-powered Ford Mustang

Fri, May 16 2014

Soliciting investments to develop a street-legal compressed natural gas (CNG) powered Ford Mustang that can deliver 470 horsepower certainly wouldn't make sense on a site called Indiestopstop. Nope, Indiegogo is the more-appropriately-named site that one Michigan entrepreneur is using to try and crowdfund his CNG 'Stang. He's looking to raise $55,000. Michigan's Daryl Patrishkoff and his company Performance CNG LLC showed off their converted 2003 Mustang last year at the Woodward Dream Cruise in Royal Oak, MI in an effort to get some exposure for the car, which can run on both gas and CNG. The company and its three-man team is looking to further develop the project in the name of a fueling source that is 40 percent cheaper than gasoline, throws off as much as 30 percent fewer tailpipe greenhouse gas emissions and makes the country less dependent on foreign oil. Performance CNG estimates that just 120,000 of the world's 15 million CNG-powered vehicles are in the US and is calling for more. As for the $55 grand, Patrishkoff estimates that more than half of that amount would be committed to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) testing of emissions, fuel economy and horsepower. The problem? As of right now, only $150 has been raised. Check out Performance CNG's press release below and see the fundraising effort on Indiegogo here. Eco-Friendly Muscle Car? CNG vehicles save money, emit less pollution and creates jobs from American-mined fuel SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich., May 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Daryl Patrishkoff of Shelby Township, MI, has a vision for the American automotive industry. He firmly believes that our fuel of choice should be Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), not gasoline. Until the full CNG infrastructure is in place a Bi-Fuel vehicle, fueled by either CNG or gasoline upon the drivers command, is the bridge vehicle that can lead this transition. Patrishkoff heads up a (3) man technical team developing this technology. The advantages are: 40 percent savings in fuel costs at the pump 25-30 percent reduction in harmful emissions 100 percent US provided natural gas Meaningful employment for the US economy The most important benefit, however, is that a CNG-powered vehicle runs on fuel that can be mined in America, eliminating the need for foreign oil. "After decades of political rhetoric, these types of vehicles can truly lead the US to energy independence," he said.
