Selling our 7.3 Powerstroke Excursion Limited 2wd, just over 133k miles. Low miles for a 7.3 powerstroke which if your reading this, you probably know that already. This truck has hundreds of thousands of miles left in it!
This is a great running truck, no problems, needs no work, my wife drives it daily. It has current plates and passes inspection. I want to stress that I purchased this truck as my wife's primary vehicle and trusted it to get her and our 2 yr old daughter where ever they need to go safely. All work done to it was with that in mind... Nothing has been half-assed or cobbled together. When I bought the truck, anything I found to be questionable was fixed right.
Everything works as it should, including front and rear A/C, power options, heated seats, etc... It has the limited package so it has power everything, windows, locks, remote keyless entry, power heated tow mirrors, power & heated seats, cruise, etc... Also has factory tow package with receiver hitch and trailer brake controller. Its in nice shape overall, there are a couple minor door dings and scratches in the paint, to be expected with a used vehicle. The interior is above average for a 13 year old truck, we are non smoker owners. Both front seats are starting to show their age, the drivers seat has wear on the seam on the side of the seat bottom about 2" long, but that's about the worst of it. Overall the leather is in good condition considering the age of the truck, and a lot better looking than most others I've seen. Carpet isn't all stained up, no bad smells, headliner is clean etc...
Undercairage is clean, no rust on the body anywhere, light surface rust on the frame like they all have.
Recent work includes:
- Rear brakes and rotors (2 months ago)
- Two new Motorcraft Maxx batteries (around 4 months old)
- Front brakes (Oct '12)
- New alternator
- Newer tires (80%+ tread easily)
- Front end alignment
- Front shocks
- Front sway bar bushings
- Turbo pedestal O-rings
Maintenance stuff has been kept up with, regular oil changes, fuel filters, etc... I have had 6 powerstrokes over the years, I know how to take care of them... This is an adult driven and well maintained truck!
As far as aftermarket upgrades, it has a 4" turbo back exhaust with a polished stainless tip, and an aftermarket larger duralite air filter. No chip or programmer. The exhaust
and intake was done for mileage.. It gets around 18mpg on the highway depending how fast you drive. I still have the stock air cleaner assembly for the truck as well.
Front windows are tinted to match the rest of the rear windows and we had a sun strip done on the windshield.
Headlights have been updated to the clear 2002 and later type.
It has a King Ranch wood grain steering wheel
There is an aftermarket overhead DVD console that holds two DVD screens. This came in the truck when we bought it, but the previous owner removed the screens. I haven't had the chance to source screens for it and install them... Its one of the few things I didn't get to on the truck. One other minor issue is the rear window washer, the hose came off inside the rear hatch. The inner trim plastic needs to be taken off and the hose reconnected, just something I haven't had the time to mess with.
I have both keys and key fobs, as well as a clear MO title for the truck, owners manual, etc...
This truck is ready to drive to Florida on vacation tomorrow. I wouldn't feel uncomfortable if the buyer wanted to fly in and drive it home! We are only selling because our needs have changed... I bought a crew cab F250 and my wife and I don't both need two large vehicles for a family of three! I searched for a lower mile 7.3 Excursion for a month before I found this one when we bought it. Finding them with under 200k miles is getting very difficult, unless you want to pay an overinflated price. You won't have to put any money into it other than oil changes for the next few thousand miles!
Any questions about anything regarding the truck, or to set up a time to come take a look at it, give me a call.

Buyers ditching expensive European sedans to buy expensive American trucks
Mon, Feb 19 2018The New York Times ended the automotive week with a story that adds numbers and context to a range of other stories, from the crossover craze to the increasing median price of a new car to ever more grandiose pickup trucks. The NYT piece reveals that the shift to larger vehicles isn't merely about the average U.S. buyer swapping the midsize sedan for a Ford Edge. Luxury buyers are migrating from plush sedans to plush SUVs and trucks that creep close to six-figure prices, and the Detroit Three are running Treasury presses because of it. From 2013 to 2017, the truck category — everything from pickups to minivans — climbed from 30 percent of the market to 41 percent. In January of this year, trucks claimed 66 percent of new vehicle sales. At the milk-and-honey end of profits, GMC alone accounted for 11.3 percent of all vehicle sales over $60,000, not just trucks. That puts the luxury truck maker behind Mercedes-Benz and Ford, The Blue Oval's feasting on Lariat, King Ranch and Raptor versions of the F-150, which make up more than half of that pickup's sales, putting it ahead of Chevrolet, Porsche and Lexus on the high-dollar sales list. The average transaction price of a GMC in Denali trim last year was $56,000; it's easy to see why, when one dealer told the NYT he just swapped a 2012 BMW 550i for a $71,000 GMC Sierra Denali. That truck starts at $52,900. The NYT started its story with a buyer who took home a Ford Raptor instead of an Audi A6, and optioned that $50,020 Ford Raptor close to $80,000. Over at Lincoln, the new $72,055 Navigator — the one so popular that Ford will increase production — crossed hands for an average sale price of $77,000 in January. And a Jeep dealer told the NYT that the two $93,000 Trackhawks he had on his lot "won't be here more than a few weeks." While trucks head up in sales volume and price, cars are headed so viciously in the opposite direction that "the Detroit Three and even some foreign manufacturers acknowledge they are now losing money on many of the cars they sell." So ... get ready for a lot more crossovers and trucks. Related Video: Find out what vehicle is right for you. Give our Car Finder tool a try.
Ford Explorer, Expedition next to go aluminum?
Sun, 13 Apr 2014Ford made some serious waves when it unveiled the latest F-150. Instead of making its bodywork out of steel, like just about every other truck on the market, Ford went with aluminum. And you can bet the F-150 won't be the last Ford model to go with the lightweight alloy construction, either.
Our compatriots at Edmunds report that Dearborn is considering replacing two of its most popular SUVs with aluminum versions. One candidate is the Expedition, which would make sense considering that the current model (like the two preceding generations and the fullsize Bronco before it) is based on the F-150's underpinnings. Another is the Explorer, which was traditionally based on the Ranger pickup but went with a car-like unibody chassis in its current iteration. If the Explorer does go the way of aluminum, don't expect it to be a part of its very next update, which is likely due too soon for such major changes.
It would stand to reason that, if the Expedition were to go aluminum, so would the next-generation Lincoln Navigator. Ditto the MKT together with the Explorer. But those aren't likely to be the only models in contention for aluminum construction. Like any other automaker, Ford is under pressure to steadily reduce its carbon emissions and improve its fuel economy figures, prompting it to look at a whole range of measures - including more efficient engines, lower rolling-resistance tires, active aerodynamics and lightweight construction. Expect aluminum to play a big part in that equation moving forward.
280-bhp Elemental RP1 revealed, now with bike-engine option
Thu, Jun 26 2014The Elemental RP1 might be Britain's next big boutique roadster success story. Designed by a team with Formula One experience, it aims to mix road car drivability with racecar performance in a single, adaptable package weighing less than 1,000 pounds. It was first previewed a few weeks ago, but the secrecy has finally disappeared due to its upcoming debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The backbone of the RP1 is a carbon fiber and aluminum tub onto which the front and rear subframes bolt on. Inside, it has an F1-like, feet-up driving position that allows for additional underfloor aerodynamic aids to improve downforce. Despite its hardcore nature, Elemental says that it wants the car to be very user friendly. Buyers should be able to drive the RP1 to the track, adjust it with some wrenches, go racing and drive it home. The company even claims the storage areas to either side of the engine offer enough room for a helmet and other racing gear. Hopefully, buyers don't crash, though, otherwise they might be stuck. Elemental is adding two more engine options for the RP1, as well. In addition to the previously announced tuned Ford 2.0-liter EcoBoost with 280 horsepower, buyers can also choose a upgraded version of Ford's three-cylinder 1.0-liter EcoBoost or a model aimed at pure track use with a 999cc Honda Fireblade motorcycle engine. The 2.0-liter uses a six-speed sequential manual gearbox, and a limited-slip differential and alternate gear sets are available as additional options. The first RP1s built will be pure racers for the 2015 season, and the first road cars will follow in the early summer of next year. Pricing isn't set yet, but scroll down for more details and full specs of Britain's latest feather light car for road and track. Introducing the Elemental Rp1 Press Release: 23/6/2014 British sports car manufacturer, Elemental Motor Company Limited, today released further details of their new and innovative, road legal track car, the Rp1. The Rp1 is an open top, road legal, mid engined sports car that incorporates state of the art road and race car technologies. Designed, Engineered and Built by a team with decades of experience in the Formula One and Supercar industries, it brings the concept of a road legal track car firmly into the 21st Century. The Rp1 will be revealed to the public for the first time, this weekend, at the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it will located in the Moving Motor Show tent "First Glance" display.
