THIS IS A 2008 FORD ESCAPE XLT, 6 CYL, 4X4, FULLY LOADED.
WE TAKE THIS EVERYWHERE.....(FROM R.I.) TO BOSTON, NEW YORK, NEWPORT R.I. ALL THE TIME!!
RUNS GREAT!! ALL OPTIONS WORK FINE, INCLUDING COLD A/C, ALL POWER OPTIONS, MOONROOF, KEYLESS ENTRY, INFORMATION DASH, CD PLAYER, INPUTS FOR ACCESSORIES, CRUISE CONTROL ON STEERING WHEEL, ETC.....
THE TIRES HAVE ABOUT 60% THREAD LEFT AND THE WHEELS ARE NOT SCUFFED AT ALL!!!
THERE ARE A COUPLE THINGS THAT I SHOULD MENTION...NOTHING TOO BAD, BUT YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT YOUR LOOKING AT!!
AS YOU SEE IN THE PICTURES, THE BLACK APPLIQUE NEAR THE WINDOWS ON THE DOORS IS PEELING OFF AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED (IF DESIRED), ALSO, ON THE PASSENGER DOOR THERE IS A SCRATCH THE GOES FROM THE FRONT OF THE DOOR TO ACROSS THE FRONT FENDER (LOOKS LIKE A KEY SCRATCH), AND LAST, THERE IS A FAINT RATTLE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT. I'VE HAD IT LOOKED AT AND ITS NOT MECHANICAL LIKE FRONT END OR MOTOR OR TRANSMISSION......I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS AND WITH THE RADIO ON, YOU REALLY DON'T NOTICE IT. THERE ARE A COUPLE SCUFF MARKS ON THE BUMPER AND PEBBLE MARKS ON THE FACE OF THE HOOD.
THIS SUV IS A DAILY DRIVER AND WE HAVE OWNED IT FOR MORE THAN 3 YEARS. IT RUNS GREAT AND LOOKS GREAT.
THE INTERIOR IS CLEAN AND THE SEATS HAVE NO TEARS, RIPS, BURN HOLES AT ALL. THE SEATS HAVE BEEN CLEANED PERIODICALLY. IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE FABRIC FORD USES ON THESE VEHICLES, YOU WILL KNOW THE WATER RING ISSUES THEY HAVE. (LOOK IT UP ONLINE IF YOU DON'T). IT'S PROBABLY THE WORST FABRIC THE EVER USED IN THEIR PRODUCTS. BUT, NOTHING SOAP AND WATER DOESN'T HANDLE FROM TIME TO TIME!!
IT'S THESE FEW ISSUES THAT IS THE REASON FOR THE LOW PRICE ON THIS ESCAPE. OTHERWISE IT WOULD BE A $10,000 SUV ALL DAY LONG.
I'VE TRIED TO DESCRIBE THIS AS BEST I CAN AND THERE ARE ALOT OF LARGE PICS TO SEE
PLEASE EMAIL ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS
DON'T BE AFRAID TO MAKE AN OFFER.....THE WORST THAT CAN BE SAID IS "NO THANKS"!!

Ford abandons MyFord Touch, all hail Sync 3 infotainment [w/video]
Thu, Dec 11 2014MyFord Touch has been among the most widely disdained automotive infotainment systems on the market, practically since its introduction in 2010. Consumer Reports was among the most vocal critics, all but advocating its lynching by an angry mob armed with torches and pitchforks. Not surprisingly, then, after such a critical walloping, Ford has finally decided to say goodbye to the unloved tech, declaring the end of MyFord Touch branding in favor of Sync 3 for its upcoming, all-new system. Ford is promising everything you would expect from Sync 3, including faster response time, better voice-command integration, easier controls and a more useable interface. The screen layout includes fewer items to make them easier to discern, and the icons are made from large, high-contrast buttons. There's also a dedicated tab for apps at the bottom of the screen in addition to those for audio, climate, phone and navigation. Another useful feature is the fact that Sync 3 can download improvements over your home Wi-Fi for easier updates. In addition to the revamped interface, the software running behind the scenes is a big change too. Rather than MyFord Touch's Microsoft-sourced system, Sync 3 uses the Blackberry-owned QNX, according to Automotive News. Such a switch was rumored earlier this year. Drivers still have to live with MyFord Touch a little longer, though. According to Automotive News, Ford said that the change to Sync 3 will happen during the 2016 model year with complete integration into the lineup by the end of the 2016 calendar year. It will come standard on Titanium trim models and as a separate option will be priced in line with the current MyFord Touch. The Sync 3 brand will carry over to Lincoln, too, but with a different look. The gallery above shows a few more looks at the interface, and we invite you to scroll down to watch a video of Sync 3 in action and to read Ford's press release about it, below. 2015 Ford Focus Sedan is fresh-faced and ready to defend its Most Popular crown
Wed, 09 Apr 2014Ford has made an art of deeper-than-normal midlife updates since the 2010 Fusion, a strategy that has allowed it to keep models looking fresher in showrooms for longer without needing full redesigns. Instead of slight touchups to light fixtures, new paint colors and perhaps new wheel patterns, Ford has been digging deeper, with significant sheetmetal changes and very different front-end looks, along with an increased emphasis on new in-car technologies to keep models vibrant. Other automakers are following this trend, and Ford itself is continuing on the path with this new 2015 Focus Sedan.
There's a handsome new SE Sport Package that includes a firmer touring suspension, modest body kit and 17-inch wheels.
We first saw this sleek Aston Martin-like nose fitted to a Focus at the Geneva Motor Show last month, but Ford only showed the new look on the five-door hatchback - this is the first appearance of the sedan, which will bow at next week's New York Auto Show. The front end treatment is the same, with a new hood, new headlamps incorporating LED accents, a different grille shape and a completely revised lower fascia that does away with the 2014 model's controversial triangle-shaped corners and gaping intakes. The rear gets a new two-piece, laser-brazed trunk lid with new taillamps, but the overall look is quite similar to last year's car. In any case, the refreshed look brings the Focus sedan more in line with the design of Ford's other recently reworked cars, including the Fusion and Fiesta.
Even Ford executives had issues with MyFord Touch
Fri, Oct 7 2016MyFord Touch is one of the auto industry's more controversial features. The media broadly panned the infotainment system developed with Microsoft for its slow responses and reliance on voice commands to navigate its deep menus. Oh, and Ford executives weren't big fans, either. Newly revealed court documents in a California class-action lawsuit demonstrate the level of venom Ford employees, both big and small, reserved for the Blue Oval's infotainment system. An error caused Bill Ford's navigation system to crash, leaving the family scion stuck on the side of the road in an unfamiliar area. The documents, unearthed by Forbes, detail current CEO Mark Fields' aggravations with MFT, too. A mechanic emailed an image of a cracked infotainment screen on an Edge to one of Ford's top Sync engineers, Kenneth Williams, suggesting "Mark Fields may have been a little aggravated with the system." But Ford and Fields' issues are nothing compared to the woes of the engineers that had to work on MFT. In a collection of emails obtained by Forbes, one engineer called the system "a polished turd," while another simply said, "These poor customers." And after one engineer suggested using a photo of Ford's Oakville Assembly Plant – home of the Edge, Flex, Lincoln MKX, and MKT production – as a background for the system, one of his coworkers said in an email that someone should instead Photoshop the image to read "abandon hope all ye who enter here," the Detroit News reports. Another summed up the problem, saying: "Ford's quality reputation is completely on the line ... another model year with the same crap is not acceptable." MyFord Touch almost single-handedly torpedoed Ford's reputation in widely reported quality metrics, including JD Power and Consumer Reports. Ford responded with a refreshed Sync3, a wildly improved rethink of its infotainment system that is far more responsive and easier to live with every day.
