1990 Ford Falcon 190 Class B Camper E250 Extended Van 5.8 Liter Engine Low Miles on 2040-cars
Lawrenceville, Illinois, United States
Up for your consideration one 1990 Ford Falcon Class B camper van. This van was purchased by me last fall so that my 90 year old grandmother could travel to Ithica New York to see her Great Grandson at college. (she has to ride laying down) We purchased a Class C Camper this week so we can take more people with us so we are selling our class B. I purchased this class B camper because it was in excellent condition for the year it was low mileage and no rust. After purchasing the van I went through it from front to back making sure everything was in working condition and repaired whatever needed fixed. All RV appliances are in working order the roof AC blows cold, stove, furnace (will run you out it is great), stove, microwave, sink, toilet , hot water heater and shower. The RV has a fresh water holding tank and DC pump under the jackknife couch that works well while you are on the road so you can use the toilet. The RV has a black water holding tank and grey water holding tank. The RV has a 7-9 gallon propane tank that runs the Fridge while you run down the road. I have the paper work from when the van was purchased new I am the third owner if you do not count the sales lot I purchased it from. The van is a three quarter ton van the pervious owner added one ton springs at a service center to the rear of the van he pulled a small trailer behind the van to antique engine shows. The van has always been stored inside the last owner stored it under a lean too on his barn and the passenger side shows some fading on the stripes due to this. I am going to list the repairs I remember I have spent $4500.00 over the last year upgrading this van and making sure it is ready to drive across country. I have taken this van to New York twice since we purchased it. The last trip was Memorial Day weekend we averaged 12-13 MPG going 70 MPH with the Air on. The cruise control works great and we used it the entire trip. If you have any questions please contact me at 618-943-0269 David Walker The van is listed locally and could sell before this listing ends so if you want it do not wait. Camper has a class three hitch and seven way plug in. Seat belts for four and sleeps four also. Loft Ladder included with the camper. New set of 235/85/16 tires 6000 miles New water pump, new thermostat, new hoses, new radiator, engine flushed New belts New battery New Brakes (4000 Miles) New Plugs New Wires Distributor Cap and Rotor Button Transmission service and filter changed Engine oil changed ( always have used synthetic oil in the engine) Windows tinted professionally 5% on the side doors 20% tint New Tail pipe installed ( have a new muffler for it needs installed) New Captain seats installed Dash AC recharged New Rear Shocks New Propane Regulator and Supply Line New Drinking Water Tank drain valve New Furnace Parts Fridge was replaced in 2000 used very little works great super clean fridge/freezer Extra parts included with van two extra blue captain chairs excellent shape, two complete front doors off of a 40,000 mile one owner van with blue door panels, extra rear bumper like new, a couple of boxes of extra parts misc lights etc I have accumulated for spares parts. Keep in mind this is not a new camper and has some nicks and bruises but very clean presentable camper that runs very good. No engine or drivetrain leaks no smoke when running very sound drive train. I did replace the drivers side valve cover gasket and still have the passenger side gasket that should be replaced but I have not done this yet. Last winter when it was 40 below zero the van started right up like a champ my 2005 Silverado Diesel fuel froze and I had to drive the camper to work. |

2015 Ford F-150 to get up to 26 miles per gallon
Fri, Nov 21 2014The 2015 Ford F-150 is one of the most important US vehicle debuts in years, be it in the pickup segment or the entire marketplace. While we've already known about the truck's engine lineup, its payload ratings and we've even learned a bit about how it drives, the truck's EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings have remained a mystery. The wait is finally over. Ford has announced numbers that put the latest F-150 as the mileage leader among gasoline-powered, full-size pickups in the US, with its new 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 topping the charts. Starting with the entry-level naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6, the rear-wheel-drive F-150 is rated at 18-miles-per-gallon city, 25-mpg highway and 20-mpg combined. Opting for four-wheel drive drops those numbers slightly to 17/23/19. If fuel economy is your absolute priority, then upgrading to the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 is the hot ticket. It improves things further to 19/26/22 in rear-wheel drive trim or 18/23/20 with four-wheel drive. The carryover naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 is rated at 15/22/18 as a 4X2 or 15/21/17 as a 4X4. Finally, the flagship 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 tops the range in available torque and offers buyers 17/24/20 ratings with rear-wheel drive or 17/23/19 with four-wheel drive. "We are delivering with the toughest, smartest and most capable F-150 ever – and now the highest EPA-estimated fuel economy ratings of any full-size gas-powered pickup in America," said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president, Global Product Development, in the company's announcement. Depending on engine and drivetrain configuration, Ford contends that the 2.7-liter EcoBoost's top rating puts fuel economy up between 5 and 29 percent over the current generation, thanks in large part to the truck's lighter aluminum construction. Obviously, these are EPA estimates, and your mileage may vary – ours has. Recently, Autoblog team members have had real difficulty even approximating government mpg estimates on many EcoBoost models, including the new F-150. Scroll down to read Ford's full announcement, including comparisons to rival models.
