3/4 ton E250 XLT
4x4
Automatic C6 Trans in good shape
4" suspension lift
32.5" Tires with ~85% remaining
Rancho adjustable shocks all around
Brand new battery
4 extra tires on wheels (with lug nuts) for spares or put snow tires on wheels... whatever you wanna do.
Very clean and well taken care of
Very straight body
Paint isn't the best with deteriorating clear coat in places
No rust to speak of
No stereo - can install one if you'd like me to
Rear tank is fine, but the lines are capped due to a leak a while back.  Front tank works great so I've just been using that.

I just went on a 300 mile trip in it and it ran great without a hitch the whole way - no problem.  The power steering box leaks a little fluid, but it's slow.  Transmission pan has an even slower leak.

The truck is a great example of a well-maintained lowish mileage rig with lots and lots of capability and potential.  Make it into a camper, work van, extreme 4x4 truck that you can live in, ski truck, whatever.  SO many options.

The truck is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to take it off eBay at any moment.

Please ask any questions you'd like!  I may amend this ad if I forgot something.

Thanks and happy bidding!!

On Jan-08-13 at 20:26:32 PST, seller added the following information:

After reviewing the vehicle report - it appears that the van has LESS miles than we thought.  It may only have 62,xxx miles rather than 162,xxx.  It seems that it was assumed at one point in it's life that it had more miles than it actually did since the odometer doesn't have a 100k place.  I apologize for the confusion.  Please look at the vehicle report for yourself and do what suits you.

Further explanation: Between 1997 and 2000, the van was reported to have increased over 100k in mileage in just three years - nearly impossible.  Then it was reported in 2006 to have 58k, then in 2008 to have 159k.  Rather than being driven 110k in two years, it is far more likely that it was driven 1k.

Since Ford engineers neglected to include a 100k placemark, we cannot be 100% sure since we are the third owners of the truck.  But, if you let the seats/carpet/body/engine strength tell the story, they look like those from a 62k rig - not 162k.

EDIT:  A kind eBay member pointed out that this is likely a PATHFINDER conversion rather than a Quigley.  I guess the front suspension is different between the two.  I apologize for the inconvenience and will gladly retract bids that have been placed already at the bidder's request.  Any bids placed from now on will be taken seriously, therefore, bid to win.

Ford director says company has big efficiency plans, but no dedicated EV

Wed, Mar 12 2014

The annual autofest known as the North American International Auto Show previews a plethora of exciting new products that we'll see and drive later in the year, from tiny urban commuters to family sedans and crossovers to hard-working big pickups and SUVs. It's also a once-a-year cornucopia of auto executives and leaders from around the world. "There will be some really fun stuff that you'll hear about in the future" - Ford's Kevin Layden So, in-between dozens of cool new-product unveilings on rotating stages during the two press days preceding the public show, we auto scribes grab what planned and impromptu interviews we can. Sessions with top industry leaders can be hard to get, but I was able to score a seat in a group session with then-General Motors North America president (now executive VP of global product development) Mark Reuss, and I also managed brief one-on-ones with a trio of vehicle electrification leaders, one each from Ford, BMW and GM, and what they said then remains relevant now. First up is Kevin Layden, Ford's Director of Electrified Powertrain Engineering. ABG: Where will Ford go beyond its current Focus EV and hybrids, and will there be a Ford EV and/or hybrid on its own energy-optimized platform one day. KL: We don't want to do a dedicated electric vehicle with all the development costs borne by a niche product. At the Michigan Assembly plant right now we're building the Focus electric, PHEV and EcoBoost on the same assembly line. Also the C-Max, with both a hybrid and an Energi plug-in, and we use that same power pack in the Fusion Hybrid and Energi. We want to be, "The power of choice" [a Ford marketing slogan], so having that choice for customers is very important. And if I want to sell the Fusion, Focus and C-Max globally, we can use these power packs wherever it makes sense. So as we go forward, you'll see us proliferating the power packs we have today. Then the question is, what do we do next? There will be some really fun stuff that you'll hear about in the future. ABG: Is the efficiency difference between a dedicated ultra-efficient vehicle platform and a shared multi-use platform getting smaller as all platforms get more efficient? KL: Exactly. Were going through aero studies now on wheels and tires and hood sealers on base vehicles. We have full aerodynamic wind tunnel studies going on with the base Focus and C-Max, so all of that [aerodynamic improvement] will be there for EVs.

Motor Trend pits Subaru WRX vs. Ford Focus ST

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

The Ford Focus ST has enjoyed a relatively calm, if brief, reign in the world of hot hatches. With nothing else in the class (in the States, at least) but the aging Mazdaspeed3 and Subaru Impreza WRX and the slow-selling Volkswagen Golf R, the Blue Oval's 252-horsepower five door has been the go-to vehicle for those that don't need the high-octane lunacy (and expense) of the rally bred Subaru Impreza WRX STI and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X.
Now, though, as the new Subaru WRX (it's not an Impreza anymore, though, neither is it a hatchback...) starts to arrive at dealers, the Focus ST appears to be under threat for the first time. Naturally, Motor Trend is here to figure out which one is the best, with another one of its Head 2 Head videos. Host Jonny Lieberman puts both cars through their paces, going above and beyond, quite literally, at the very end of the video.

Ford Mustang challenges Lamborghini in amazing drift battle

Fri, Dec 18 2015

Engines scream and tires billow with smoke as Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Daigo Saito stage a drift battle through an abandoned Japanese resort that looks like a Russian village in this stunning clip. The high-performance ballet of these amazing machines sliding around makes this one of the best videos of the year. To fight this duel, Gittin straps into his 550-horsepower Ford Mustang, and Saito meets the pony car's challenge with a drift-prepped Lamborghini Murcielago. The drivers hit a curving road and show expert car control as the men slide these very different vehicles just inches from each other. Eventually, night descends, and they add some fire to the scene to give the stunts a more apocalyptic look. The production values for this short clip are phenomenal, and the editing makes the viewer feel right in the middle of the action. If you want to get behind the scenes of this impressive display of drifting, Speedhunters did a great job capturing the event in photos. Related Video:
