2003 Ford Crown Victoria Sport. 4.6 V8, factory dual exhaust, 3:27 ratio rear axle. Car was bought new in 2003 as a family vehicle. Driven by my wife exclusively and maintained by myself, 27 year mechanic. Car is in EXCELLENT condition with just over 56,000 Miles (see pics). Synthetic oil used exclusively every 3500 miles. This is a pet free/smoke free vehicle. Leather bucket seating in EXCELLENT condition. Center console with shifter. Carpeting in EXCELLENT condition. Car equipped with driver & passenger power seats & power lumbar. Power windows, power and heated mirrors. Power door locks & keyless entry. Ice cold A/C. Rear defrost. AM/FM stereo with 6 disc CD changer in trunk (never used!). Auto dim rearview mirror with overhead console and digital compass. Four new Continental tires, installed less than 200 miles ago ($800). Front and rear brake pads 4000 miles ago. Spare tire used once. Still have original owners manual (see pics). Rear cargo net in trunk never been used, still in plastic bag. This is a great car! Sorry to see it go but wife is in need of something with more passenger room.

Car has not been modified in any way. Limited number of these cars available with so few miles in such great condition!

Ford celebrating 80 years of Aussie utes as it prepares to shutter Oz manufacturing

Ford is ending Australian production after 90 years in 2016, and with it may go perhaps the most iconic vehicles in its auto market - the ute. Car-based pickup trucks like the Ford Ranchero and Chevrolet El Camino were always more of a curiosity than a true market force here, but in Australia, they have long proven hugely popular.
As the legend goes, Ford invented the niche after a farmer's wife had asked Ford Australia's managing director for a more utilitarian car. Her request was simple: "My husband and I can't afford a car and a truck but we need a car to go to church on Sunday and a truck to take the pigs to market on Monday. Can you help?"
Ford's design team came up with a two-passenger, enclosed, steel coupe body with glass windows and a steel-paneled, wooden-frame load area in the rear. The sides of the bed were blended into the body to make it look more unified, and to keep costs down, the front end and interior were based on the Ford Model 40 five-window coupe. Power came from a V8 with shifting chores handled by a three-speed manual. Within a year, the new vehicle was ready, and production began in 1934. Lead designer Lewis Bandt christened it the coupe-utility.

Ford's Galhotra succeeds Farley as head of Lincoln

Ford Motor Company is announcing a major personnel shakeup that could have a dramatic effect on the future of the Lincoln division. Kumar Galhotra (pictured above), currently vice president of engineering at Ford for all of its vehicles worldwide, is taking over as the president of the luxury brand on September 1, replacing Jim Farley. The automaker is also hiring a new head of advanced engineering.
Galhotra has a huge job ahead of him as the new boss of Lincoln worldwide, overseeing product development, marketing, sales and service. His task is to turn the luxury division into a world-class brand as quickly as possible, and he reports directly to Ford President and CEO Mark Fields.
"These changes underscore our commitment to build on the success of our One Ford plan by accelerating our pace of progress. They also make clear we are serious about Lincoln as a world-class luxury brand and that product excellence and innovation are what will deliver growth and define our entire company going forward," said Fields in the company's announcement.
