Runs and drives like new. Well maintained.

A/T, cold A/C

Everything works great.  Never been in an accident.  Clean title.

Passed smog and registered till Aug.2014

Brakes and tires (Firestone Firehawk  PV41 225-70/R15) are good, all with about 65% of their respective life remaining.

Best of all, this car is an OEM (built by Ford in Canada) DEDICATED COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS (CNG) VEHICLE. This allows you not only to save a bundle on fuel costs, but you can legally cruise the HOV/ Diamond Lane by yourself during commute hours, because by burning Natural Gas you are in a Clean Air Vehicle - Cleaner running and 'Greener' even than most Toyota Prius', and with a lot more room and comfort. The HOV Lane saves you a lot of time.

When cruising at 70-75+mph on the freeway I average 24 mpg. In city traffic that drops down to about 16 mpg. 20 mpg is my average.  CNG tanks have a total capacity of 7.5 GGE (Gas Gallon Equivalent) and give you a range of 160 miles depending on usage. The CNG tanks are expired  12/2011 and the white HOV Lane stickers that come with the car are good until at least 12/2019 (Per AB 266).

At current fuel prices of around $3.75 per gallon, the $2.20 per GGE Natural Gas this car uses will save you an average of $1.55 per gallon! At an average of 20 mpg with 20,000 miles per year driven, that will save you a cool $1,600+ in just one year! You can even a reduce your fuel costs to under $1/ GGE by getting your own compressor system and a special rate from PG&E. If you do, you will more than double your fuel cost savings.

'Car Wars' says Ford, Honda to pick up share, Fiat-Chrysler ambitions downplayed

Sat, 14 Jun 2014

Don't look for a tremendous shifts in automotive market share over the next three years because it might not be coming. That's at least according to the annual Car Wars report by John Murphy, from Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Research.
In the report's analysis of automakers' market share from 2013 to 2017, it predicts only small changes among the major companies. Ford and Honda see the biggest positive effect with an estimated 0.5 percent increase in their shares over the next three years; to 16.2 percent and 10.3 percent respectively. On the flip side, European automakers and Nissan are expected to lose 0.2 percent each to fall to 8.3 percent and 7.8 percent each respectively. The rest of the industry is predicted to hold steady as it is now.
The biggest loser in that prediction might be Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles. The report certainly throws a wet blanket on its plan for significant gains in market share. Murphy told The Detroit News that the company's goal was "almost unattainable."

Ford Focus refresh shots leak ahead of Geneva

Sun, 23 Feb 2014

In case you haven't been paying attention, Ford has been gradually redesigning its lineup to sport a familiar face. The Aston Martin-inspired grille shape debuted on the Fusion and was soon applied to the Fiesta. Even the front end of the new Mustang takes its cues from the same, and we're sure other models will soon be made-over to fall in line. The next on the docket? The Focus.
Set to be unveiled in little over a week at the Geneva Motor Show, the revised Focus has leaked out a tad early, revealing a mild facelift that bears that same trapezoidal grille with horizontal slats. Along with the new grille, the headlights, lower fascia and hood appear to have been reshaped. Around back there appears to be a new rear bumper and taillights, but otherwise the shape remains largely the same as the current model.
Expect the updates to be applied to all bodystyles offered around the world, including the hatchback, wagon and sedan. The engine lineup is expected to carry over largely unchanged, though the plug-in hybrid powertrain from the C-Max Energi could port over to the revised Focus. Plus Ford seems to have taken the opportunity to spruce things up in the cabin some. Check it out in the image gallery above and watch this space for the official announcement as we pack our bags for Switzerland.

Ford opens the doors on its Swedish rally skunkworks

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

It's always amazing to see how different kinds of racecars are made. Formula One racers are often constructed in modern architectural marvels that hint at some of the cutting-edge technology going into the racing. Conversely, rallying is all about sliding around on a varied course as fast as possible, but it often leaves a vehicle caked in mud. So it makes some sense Olsbergs MSE, or simply (OMSE) rally car shop in Nynashamn, Sweden, shows technological sophistication in a more down-to-earth setting. It builds Ford Fiesta ST racers for Global Rallycross there, and this new video gives viewers a tour through the work.
Former rally driver Andreas Eriksson runs OMSE. These days instead of racing, he and the company's 46 employees are building Ford racers from scratch. A ton of work goes into constructing each one, and according to Eriksson, it takes 400 hours to complete each body. At times, things are so busy that some of the technicians live in the shop in apartments that are on premises. There's even a restaurant to keep them fed. Sadly the dyno room is empty during this visit, though.
By the time OMSE is done, a rallycross car might resemble a Fiesta ST on the outside, but as you see in the video, it's a completely different beast underneath. Check out the work it takes to build one of them, and scroll down to read more about it in the official release.
