This is really a great car, fully checked and maintained, comfortable daily driver with factory A/C, stereo all the bells and whistles!

Adult owned, All California Car – so it’s never been in harsh weather.  We bought the car from a “little Old lady” that used the car as a grocery getter and so it subsequently was rarely driven.

When we bought the car (+/- 6 months ago) for our daughter we had a qualified mechanic go over the car from A to Z, I didn’t want to leave any stone unturned in that we ensured our daughter would be inheriting a safe car to drive on campus. And with all that, plans changed and she decided dealing with campus parking wasn’t for her.

It’s really a great car and one you’ll easily fall in love with

Car rides smooth – Thanks to the 4 brand new Goodyear tires and dialed in suspension

You’ll get the original owners-manual, all of the maintenance records I have and 3 chip imbedded keys – not easy to replace nor cheap for that matter.

Nothing funky coming from the tailpipe or unusual smells from the engine, you’ll get an occasional water drip from the A/C while operating but otherwise no leaks, drips or errors.

Recent smog check done to prepare for sell, Smog check technician remarked “what a beautiful car, runs like a dream” sorry don’t have that statement Notarized.

As previously mentioned spend the money on pulling out the minor dent, a dash cover and a cover for the rear center brake light and you’ll have a car close to ‘rolling off the assembly-line perfect’ as you’ll find, though keep in mind it is 15 years old and none of us are as good as we were 15 years ago. I am sure I’ve missed a lot but ask any questions you have and I’ll be happy to go into more detail.

Now for the PAYMENT TERMS - At the conclusion of the auction, the winning bidder must make a deposit of $250.00 via PayPal (within 3 days). The remaining balance must be received within seven days.

SHIPPING AND PICK UP - I cannot help with shipping. However, if you have a shipper that you wish to utilize I will accommodate after you make arrangements. If you choose to pick the car up in person, I can meet you at the San Jose, CA airport. The car is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Actual mileage on the car at the time of posting is 55,565 and will change up to 150 miles during the time this auction is running. If you have questions or need additional pictures feel free to contact me via eBay. I will respond as soon as possible and provide you contact details should you wish to talk.

This 1969 Ford F-100 has a Cadillac CTS-V engine lurking underhood

Fri, Jan 30 2015

Something always feels just a little taboo when someone builds a custom and then slots in a powertrain from a rival automaker. That's exactly the case with this modded 1969 Ford F-100 boasting a highly tuned LSA supercharged V8 like from the second-gen Cadillac CTS-V. However, with a claimed 800 horsepower on tap thanks in part to running an estimated 20 pounds of boost, it's easy to get over any bad feelings. Built by Tommy Pike Customs in South Carolina, the truck tries to keep the exterior looking somewhat stock. Although, the jade green and satin gold paint, Quaker State logo, lowered suspension and black wheels immediately suggest something is up. Once the F-100 starts up with its menacing growl, absolutely any doubts of this beast being unaltered are immediately gone. Not so obvious are some tweaks to actually help put all that power down, including disc brakes and independent suspension setups at the front and rear. The video gives some glimpses at a few of Pike's other creations, but the real star here is definitely his mean, green Ford.

Watch how Ford torture-tested the 2015 F-150

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

The Ford F-150 has been the best-selling truck in the United States for the past 37 years, and the best-selling vehicle outright for the past 32. That's quite a legacy, and thus, it's no surprise that Ford worked super-duper-extra hard on creating the all-new, aluminum-bodied 2015 F-150 that debuted at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year.
During an event at the company's headquarters in Dearborn, MI this week, we were able to see all of the ways that Ford endurance tests, not just the new F-150, but all of its vehicles. From examining things like light exposure to interior materials and paint finishes, to making sure that corrosion absolutely does not happen when steel components come in contact with aluminum panels in the new truck. The goal: ensure that the new F-150 is nothing short of "Built Ford Tough."
But that's only a small part of the story. Of course, the new F-150 has to be able to withstand whatever a pickup buyer might throw at it - and truck buyers arguably demand the most from their vehicles. So in an effort to convey just what the new F-150 had to go through before being given the final go-ahead, Ford has released a series of videos, showing how its new halo truck was indeed torture tested.

Ford exec downplays idea of aluminum-intensive cars

Thu, Jan 15 2015

Ford certainly made waves when it rolled out the all-new 2015 F-150 made primarily out of aluminum. But while trimming weight off its vehicles is a top priority for the Detroit automaker, we shouldn't expect the lightweight metal to be used as widely on passenger cars as it has been on its new pickup. Speaking at the Automotive News World Congress on Wednesday, top Ford exec Joe Hinrichs said that using aluminum in passenger cars isn't as beneficial as it is in trucks – primarily because the weight savings isn't as dramatic, or as deeply needed. Though improved fuel economy is certainly one advantage of aluminum construction in a truck like the F-150, low prices at the pump have prompted Ford to highlight another advantage, and that's capability: With less weight on its own, a lighter-weight truck can carry and tow more than a heavier one, because it all comes down to combined weight ratings. Ford is expected to make the new F-Series Super Duty largely out of aluminum for the same reasons, and we wouldn't be surprised to see the next Expedition use the material as well. But while certain components in Ford passenger cars will be made of aluminum, we shouldn't expect entire chassis and bodywork assemblies to use the material as extensively as on the F-150, or on more upscale passenger cars from the likes of Audi or Jaguar. Dearborn is, however, investing in other lightweight materials. It has a joint venture with Dow Chemical to put carbon fiber into mass production, much as BMW has with its i3. The Blue Oval will use a combination of carbon and aluminum on its 2017 GT supercar, and it has stripped weight by removing amenities from the 2016 Mustang GT350R, but apparently neither is a method Ford can practically apply to its volume models.
