I bought this car from the original owner roughly 6 years ago. It has been well cared for its entire life. It is in MUCH better condition than any other one I've seen. It is not perfect, but it is as close to perfect as you will find. Oil changes were done on time every 3000 miles. Clean title in hand. 3 liter V6 w/ 5 speed manual transmission. Silver on dark interior. 145k miles on the car. Tires were rotated every other oil change. All lights work, All windows work, All door locks work, Power seat works, Car starts right up EVERY time, with no issues, Runs great, Ac blows cold, Heater blows hot, Tires are good. This car is very fast and handles extremely well. I have all the original SVT paperwork including the SVT certificate and original window sticker. As well as the ford SVT booklets. 3 liter port matched swap (3 liter block and head, svt cams, svt intake manifold) New Timing Chain New Axles New Ball joints New Water pump New Power steering pump New camshaft position sensor New vehicle speed sensor New Spark plugs New Spark plug wires MSDS Headers MSDS Y-Pipe High flow catalytic converter Custom 2.5" mandrel bent Full cat back dual exhaust Transmission serviced Cooling system serviced Power steering serviced Eibach lowering springs New oem ford Shocks Lightweight Flywheel CD player w/ aux input Alpine powered sub installed in trunk Brand new clutch and slave (just installed 8/25/14) The current issues: The paint is faded, but consistent. There are some scratches and marks on the bumpers. There is a small crack on the bottom of the rear bumper. There is a small chip on the windshield. The power antenna doesn't work. Extra parts that come with the car: OEM Catalytic converter New Hid kit Oem rear wing Extra trunk Extra tail lights Non power antenna Wheel spacers Many misc extra interior pieces The car was just smogged (8/29/14) and ready for sale. This is a great car, especially for the price. A piece of Ford history and extremely hard to find in good condition. |

Best Large SUVs of 2024
Tue, Dec 19 2023When it comes down to large SUVs, there's more to consider than price and just how large it is. First, it comes down to what's underneath the skin. Some are built on a truck-like body-on-frame chassis — this would be the traditional, literal definition of an "SUV." Others use car-like, unibody construction, which would make them a crossover. What really matters, though, is how you use them. For most American families, a large three-row crossover is going to be your best bet. They have loads of passenger and cargo space, and deliver superior fuel economy, handling and ride quality than those big traditional SUVs. They're cheaper, too. On the other hand, those traditional large SUVs like the Chevy Tahoe and Ford Expedition are better-suited for more heavy-duty tasks like towing. Most now have bigger third rows than big crossovers, while extended-length versions like the Chevy Suburban have way more cargo capacity behind their third rows than everything but an airport shuttle. As for luxury large SUVs, they fall into those same two categories as well, with American choices mostly being truck-based. The pros and cons of choosing one over another are similar. Below, you will find our list of the best large SUVs broken down into three categories: large family crossover, large traditional SUV and large luxury SUVs, which comprise both construction types. Best Large Family Crossovers | Best Large Traditional SUVs | Best Large Luxury SUVs Best Large Family Crossovers 2024 Honda Pilot Why it stands out: Exceptional storage and cargo space; unique second-row functionality; refined ride; versatile and capable TrailSport; advanced AWDCould be better: Subpar acceleration with lackadaisical transmission and engine response; so-so driver assistance tech Read our full 2024 Honda Pilot Review The Honda Pilot was completely redesigned for 2023. It maintains its predecessor's family-friendly packaging and overall focus, but it has injected a welcome sense of style (especially in the TrailSport pictured above) that makes it stand out much better from the big crossover crowd. The Pilot's restrained adornment and classic proportions are refreshing compared to the increasingly busy Kia Telluride, Hyundai Palisade and Subaru Ascent. Let's talk about practicality, though, which is ultimately the Pilot's best attribute.
Ford reveals new rapid prototyping and low-volume production techniques [w/video]
Mon, 08 Jul 2013It's called "F3T," and that stands for Ford Free-form Fabrication Technology. The process that The Blue Oval has developed means being able to sidestep the weeks-long process of tool-and-die making when engineers want to construct a new part, allowing them to fabricate a three-dimensional part from a two-dimensional sheet of metal in just hours.
While F3T is being developed it is limited to "low-volume prototyping or even low-volume niche vehicles," but the next step is to evaluate it for use in Ford's global manufacturing facilities. You can find out more about it in the video and the press release below.
2015 Ford F-150 pricing announced, aluminum-bodied truck up just $395
Mon, 28 Jul 2014The eagerly anticipated Ford F-150 has had its 2015 pricing announced, adding only a small amount to the pickup's total cost, despite its weight-saving aluminum body. The XL and XLT entry level models only see a $395 boost over the heavier, current-generation, 2014 truck.
The XL starts at $26,615 while the XLT rings up at $31,890. The increase for Lariat is up a similarly negligible $895, to $39,880. Going up the ladder, meanwhile, the leather-intensive King Ranch sees the biggest jump of the F-150 family, with prices increasing $3,515, to $49,460. Finally, picking up the top-end Platinum trim will cost an extra $3,055, with prices starting at $52,155.
The higher prices are being blamed not only on the aluminum bodies, which trim up to 700 pounds of body fat, but on increased levels of standard equipment. While we were expecting a price hike, the fact that the 2015 F-150's volume trims - Ford spokesman Mike Levine told Reuters that the XL and XLT alone cover 70 percent of F-150 sales - have had less than a $400 increase is hugely impressive.
