Up for sale is this CandyApple Red 1968 Ford Mustang GT! You don't find often solid 68 GT J code 302 coupes. This car is a true factory GT and confirmed by Marti Report. J-code 302 4V engine runs very strong. Well optioned car with Black Deluxe interior , Both lower and upper consoles, Factory Tach, Power steering, Black vinyl top, GT wheels, C-stripe, fog-lights, and turn signal style hood. Rebuilt motor and 4spd trans etc... This Mustang is really solid, no rust. Car is really presentable and looks great. The car has headers and sounds greats, a real strong runner. Autocar pits Formula Ford against Germany's finest
Wed, 25 Sep 2013Ford has quite the racing pedigree, but usually, its racers are relegated to the track. Not the new Formula Ford EcoBoost, though. It's a turbocharged, open-wheeled racer complete with a 200-horsepower, 1.0-liter, three-cylinder engine... and it's legal on the roads of the UK.
That's stressed in this video from Autocar, with the mag going so far as to show the car's tax disc and license plates. Being a road-legal offering, it's tempting to see just how well an open-wheeler that delivers racecar-like performance while also netting over 100 miles per gallon (assume this is on the British cycle, for obvious reasons) stacks up against modern performance cars.
Autocar lined up the Formula Ford against an Audi R8 V10, a BMW M6 Gran Coupe and a Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG in a number of situations to see which would come out on top. Take a look below for the full video.
How Ford hid the 2015 Mustang from spy photographers
Fri, 20 Dec 2013Now that we've finally seen the 2015 Ford Mustang, it's fun to go back and look at the spy shots we spent months pouring over, trying to dissect what was under all the camouflage. For the most part, Ford did a good job of concealing the car from spy photographers, and it released a video showing how much work went into doing so.
As crude as the Mustang's camo looked, all of the hard plastic, foam, vinyl and ratchet straps were actually created and put in place by a specific design team. The whole idea was to hide the car's identity, but it certainly ended up acting as a magnet for attention, too. According to Ford's press release, it took less than an hour for spy shots to appear online after the car was taken on public roads for the very first time - this is likely in reference to our first official spy shots of the Mustang from June, shown in the gallery below.
