I just pulled the Bronco from my storage barn this morning. I did a frame up restoration on it 16 years ago. I hosed off the dust and took pics. All the mechanics were done by me and my crew, and the parts were bought from "James Duff and Company". I was going to paint itbut never got around to it. Now the years have affected my health and it is time for me to sell it. This Bronco has all the upgrades anyone would want. I pulled the original 302 and installed a rebuilt 351 windsor with an RV cam and eldebrock 4 bbl carb. I removed the body and had it and the frame soda blasted. I painted the frame and undercoated the body then I installed headers, dual exhaust, power steering, 4 core radiator, front disc brakes, a 4 inch lift kit (new coil springs on front and new leaf springs in the rear) dual shock kit, rebuilt heavy duty C-4 tranny from another Bronco, B&M shifter, rebuilt original transfer case, leather seats, GT steering wheel, electronic gauges, fender flares, door inserts, bedliner coating, front seals and bearings, new lockout hubs, steel brakes lines, 30 gallon fuel tank, poly bushings w/steering stabilizer, etc. Everything you would want done to a Bronco is already done. Over $6000 in parts and that was 16 years ago!!! All you have to do is clean it up, do a little body work and paint it, along with some wheels and tires. This is a solid Bronco with very little rust. It will need lower rockers cut in and a few metal patches here and there, but all it really has some surface rust on the primer. With the materials available today, you should be able to make this vehicle a show stopper for less than 5K. Do not spend money on an original Bronco you cannot drive without it wandering all over the road, I have driven this Bronco 80 mph with the big tires and it is stable as a rock. Less than 2000 miles since the rebuild. I do have the original doors (good shape) top ( not so good shape) rusty pillars and trim, and the rear bench seat

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th
Tue, 15 Apr 2014It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
VW going turbo-only in 3 to 4 years
Wed, 18 Sep 2013This really was a matter of when, rather than if. Volkswagen will apparently be the first manufacturer to phase out naturally aspirated engines in favor of turbocharging its full slate. VW is kind of responsible for ushering in this push towards small-displacement, turbocharged engines that's taken the industry by storm. When it dropped its direct-injection, 2.0-liter turbo in the 2005 GTI it demonstrated that strapping an iron long to an engine can enhance the powertrain as a whole. VW made fuel economy gains, while also giving a linear, non-laggy turbo experience that it has replicated, model-after-model, to this day.
Speaking with The Detroit News, Volkswagen's executive Vice President of Group Quality, Marc Trahan, told the paper that, "We only have one normally aspirated gas engine, and when we go to the next generation vehicle that it's in, it will be replaced. So three, four years maximum."
Really, it's hard to get teary-eyed about either of these engines going away. VW has access to smaller powerplants that could easily match the performance of the 2.5 five-cylinder and the 3.6 V6, while gobbling up less fuel and providing a better driving experience. What we are sad about is that a similar statement about the extinction of NA engines came from the Vice President of Powertrain Engineering at Ford, Joe Bakaj. We'd certainly get teary-eyed over a world without Ford's excellent 5.0-liter V8.
2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty is class-leading once again
Wed, 05 Mar 2014Time for everyone to feign surprise - Ford has just announced that it has the increased horsepower and torque levels of its 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 engine for 2015. As you'd expect, the Blue Oval is claiming class-leading figures of 440 hp (up from 400) and 860 pound-feet (up from 800), and that's enough to enable Ford's F-450 Super Duty model to tow as much as 31,200 pounds, which, again, the automaker claims is class leading.
Now, it should be noted that the max rating quoted above is achieved with the Ford F-450. The 2015 F-350, which is perhaps a better comparison to the Ram 3500 HD pickup that claimed the towing crown in 2013 at an even 30,000 pounds, is capped at 26,500 pounds, either with a gooseneck or when towing a fifth-wheel trailer. In any case, it's going to take a load the size of Godzilla to make any of the current crop of fullsize heavy-duty pickup trucks break into a sweat. For those keeping track, Chevy rates its 2015 Silverado HD at a maximum of 23,200 pounds.
Ford's newfound pulling power comes courtesy of a larger turbocharger for its in-house Power Stroke engine, new fuel injector tips and, we'd assume, retuned computer controls. Besides the engine enhancements, the F-350 gets a wider front track for 2015 and new front springs, while the F-450 gains commercial-grade 19.5-inch wheels and tires, new rear U-joints, leaf springs, stabilizer bars and shocks. The steering and brake systems have also been upgraded.
