1995 Ford Bronco Xlt 5.8l on 2040-cars
Orlando, Florida, United States

Up for sale is a 1995 Ford Bronco XLT with a 5.8L engine in great condition. A true survivor. The paint is the original factory two-tone teal that is absolutely gorgeous! Ford only made 600 Broncos in this color scheme and it gets compliments from strangers and car-guys wherever it goes. I am selling this vehicle for my friend whom I've known for years. He purchased the vehicle from my coworker who I've also known for years. The truck is very reliable and was driven from Colorado to Orlando without missing a beat.
The good: The paint is incredible. The body is in PERFECT condition - no dents or dings. The top is perfect - no wind noise, no leaks. All power options work. Ice cold air keeps the truck cold (yes, even in Orlando in July!) Aftermarket HD Alpine radio with bluetooth connectivity so your phone connects as soon as you get in. Infinity speakers so phone calls come through crisp and clear. New remote key fob New brakes, oil, filter, starter relay, starter, K&N (with spare) Tires in great shape (all tires matching, even the spare) Extra set of brake rotors. Truck drives straight and smooth. Hit the brakes and it doesn't pull off course. Very well maintained, meticulously cared for. Never off-road. No engine, suspension, drive train modifications. It's a clean slate. The bad: Not much really - minor wear and tear I suppose. It's not museum quality but it's certainly a time capsule. The driver seat foam is a little worn. Minor oil leak somewhere (but doesn't leave spots on the driveway). Minor surface rust only in the areas in the photos. Reason for selling: My friend had an SRT-4 sports sedan for 10 years and thought he could get used to driving this. But he can't. He wants another car. His loss is your gain. |

Ford says 70% of its models to get stop-start by 2017
Sun, 15 Dec 2013Ford is following up on a report we posted a few weeks back that the Blue Oval would be adding stop-start technology to its entire model range. Now, the Dearborn-based automaker has announced that the fuel-saving feature would be available on 70 percent of the company's range by 2017.
Ford claims the technology will improve fuel economy by around 3.5 percent, although its actual effect will vary based on how the owner drives - apparently up to a 10-percent improvement is possible for those who sit in heavy traffic (Los Angelenos, this means you). The latest recipient of the technology is the updated 2014 Ford Fiesta with the company's three-cylinder EcoBoost powerplant.
Part of the reasoning for the new addition has to do with cost. Ford claims the tech is affordable and easy to implement. "Simply put, Auto Start-Stop helps customers use less fuel, which is an important component of Ford's Blueprint for Sustainability," Ford's global powertrain vice president, Bob Fascetti, said.
Ford Fiesta ST GRC Racecar is hungry for podiums in 2013
Thu, 07 Feb 2013As we reported earlier, the Chicago showing of this plucky Ford Fiesta ST GRC racer points to bigger and brighter days for Global RallyCross. For the upcoming season, you can expect to see Ken Block and Tanner Foust both driving the Ford racecar, and if last season's results are any indication, you can anticipate quite a few podium appearances, as well.
The Fiesta seen here was built by the Swedes at OlsbergsMSE, and will be driven in anger by Foust in 2013. Modifications are, as you'd expect, extensive, and include an engine, exhaust and braking upgrades, a racing style short-throw shifter and a limited-slip differential. As you can see, the car has been fully stripped out and caged for maximum speed and safety, too.
Refresh your memories with the details of the car, in the press releases below. And if you head out to the Chicago Auto Show this year, don't forget to drop by the Ford stand to have a look.
NHTSA investigating 250k F-150s for possible power brake failure
Fri, Jun 26 2015The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is opening a preliminary evaluation into the 2011-2012 Ford F-150 with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 because of potential failure of the power braking assist. If a recall is required, it could affect an estimated 250,000 of the trucks. This investigation is prompted by NHTSA receiving 32 complaints about the electric vacuum assist pump allegedly failing in these trucks, which then causes the power braking assist to stop working. Drivers claim having no warning beforehand. There are also two reports of crashes that are purportedly linked to the problem, but the government agency lists no injuries. According to NHTSA, the issue may be getting worse because 60 percent of these allegations are from the past nine months. A preliminary evaluation doesn't necessarily lead to a recall, though. NHTSA uses them "to assess the cause, scope and frequency of the alleged defect." Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker tells Autoblog: "We will cooperate with NHTSA on this investigation, as we always do." None of the complaints reported any warning indicators to alert the driver of brake power assist loss or the potential of increased stopping distance. Two reports alleged crashes due to increased brake pedal effort required to stop or slow the vehicle. The complaints show an apparent increasing trend, with approximately 60 percent of complaints received within the past nine months. A Preliminary Evaluation has been opened to assess the cause, scope and frequency of the alleged defect.
