This is my 95 Bronco that I am offering for sale. It is a former LMC Truck catalog cover vehicle and one of only a few 2WD Broncos that I know even exist. It is a custom build due to the fact that it no longer is 4WD. All of the 4wd suspension was removed and replaced with 2WD suspension. The front I beams were replaced with Belltech I beams and shocks for a Lowered stance in the front along with Lightning truck coil springs for another inch of drop. The vehicle has all new ball joints and I beam pivot bushings within the last 2 months, as were the front calipers, rotors and brake pads. The rear was lowered by relocating the rear axle to the top of the leaf springs and the vehicle frame has been professionally C-notched for axle clearance, it does bounce around in the back whenever you hit a good bump so I would believe it needs rear shocks. The transmission was then replaced with a 2wd transmission and a driveshaft was custom made due to the new length requirement.  The front seats were then replace via Lightning truck seats and the center console was replaced with the center jump seat. The rear bench seat was then sent out and recovered so that it matches the front seats. The door panels on the truck are also starting to show their age and the door panel switch bezels on both sides keep popping up, so the vehicle will need the panels replaced. The paint on the truck is original paint, meaning it does have scratches and dings. The rear bumper looks to need alignment  and does need the top pad replaced. The tailgate has the worst wear on it, it has a lot of dings in it and a stress crack on the right side of it. I had planed on just replacing the tailgate with a new shell when I repainted it. It does clean up nicely and shines real well but in my opinion it need to be redone to be really nice. The front chin spoiler is a factory Lightning piece (just recently painted) and original Lightning fog light brackets were installed for mounting the original style fog lamps. The wheels are chromed factory Lightning wheels with the center caps needing to be redone. The truck runs and drives nicely as I just drove it 2 months ago on a 750 mile trip with no problems. Is this a show vehicle as it sits, no. It needs work to get it to that point in my opinion. But it does turn heads wherever you drive it. If you have questions or would like more pictures of the truck feel free to contact me and I will reply as soon as possible. No buyers with a feedback score of less than 10 unless having contacted me first. Vehicle is for sale on other sites and if sold the listing with be cancelled. Shipping is buyers responsibility, due to the low ride height of the vehicle, if trailered I would recommend removal of front spoiler and fog lamps and brackets.

2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 to start at $47,870 [UPDATE]

Tue, May 26 2015

UPDATE: After reaching out to Ford, we've been told by spokesman Said Deep that while the Blue Oval hasn't formally announced pricing for the GT350/GT350R, the document obtained by Mustang6G is accurate. Look for a second post when Ford makes its formal announcement at a later date. Ladies and gents, the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 will be something of a bargain. Mustang6G has a leaked pricing sheet that indicates the base model will start at just $47,870, while the track-oriented R adds $13,500 to that price. Neither figure includes an $825 destination charge. That means that the high-performance Mustang will undercut, well, a lot of stuff. The GT350R is nearly $11,000 less than a Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 and is $2,830 less than a base BMW M4. The standard GT350, meanwhile, slots below the base Chevrolet Corvette by $7,130, while the price should even be within the reach of some Camaro SS 1LE consumers. In short, the GT350 and GT350R should appeal to a lot of people based purely on price alone. With the previous leak on options pricing, figuring out the cost of your ideal GT350 requires nothing more than some simple addition. While a leaked document such as this is often met with an initial degree of skepticism, Mustang6G reports that the prices are real and are showing up within the Ford dealer system. Naturally, we've reached out to Ford in an attempt to confirm this report. Should they get back to us, we'll be sure to update this story. See Ford's comment up top. Until then, head into Comments and let us know what you think of the starting prices for the GT350 and GT350R.

Is your new-car warranty good at the race track?

Mon, Feb 27 2017

We've all heard the horror stories. Your buddy knows a girl that was dating a guy whose best friend's brother once broke his brand-new, recently purchased performance car while making runs at a drag strip or laps at a track day, and the manufacturer wouldn't cover the repair under warranty. True story? Urban legend? Complete crap? Yes, no, maybe. One thing's for sure: Automotive warranties have always come with caveats. In 1908, an ad in the Trenton Evening Times clearly stated: "All Ford Cars Guaranteed for One Year." Although it changed over time, by 1925 the Ford New Car Guarantee only covered 90 days on material and 30 days on labor, and it clearly stated that that there was "No guarantee whatever on Fan Belts, Glass, Bulbs, Wiring, Transmission, Bands, Hose Connections, Commutator Shells, Rollers, Spark Plugs or Gaskets." Whether or not Ol' Henry would pay to fix your Model T if you broke it shaving a tenth off your lap time at the local board track seems to be lost to history. We're guessing no. But what about today? Do new-car warranties in 2017 cover cars when they are driven on race tracks? We researched the warranties of 14 auto brands to find out, and the answer is yes, no, maybe, depending on the brand, in some cases the model, and whether or not your car is modified from stock. Acura has been out of the high-performance car game for a number of years, but jumps back into the party in 2017 with its hybrid-powered $173,000 NSX supercar. And Acura's warranty, as well as Honda's, clearly states that it does not cover "the use of the vehicle in competition or racing events." View 33 Photos So we asked Sage Marie, Senior Manager of Public Relations for Honda and Acura. "If the car is stock, the warranty covers it on a track just as it does on the street. No question," he told us. "However, if the car is modified, say with slick tires or other components that would put higher stresses on the vehicle's parts and systems, then we would have to investigate the circumstances further." Marie went on to say the same would be true for any Acura model or Honda vehicle, including the new 2017 Honda Civic Si. This became a common theme. Chevrolet actually started this practice with the fifth-generation Camaro on the high-performance ZL1 and Z/28 models.
