1986 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer 5.8 Liter H.O. with C6 Trans

Original Factory Paint and Rust Free!

***TWO OWNER***!

A True Survivor!!

Garaged Every Day!

When was the last time you saw a true Survivor ’86 Bronco Eddie Bauer ? I’ve got to tell you, that in over 14 years of collecting Broncos, this is my very first one! Yes, they really are scarce. And this gorgeous example is equipped with the powerful 5.8 HO 4v equips with a new Holley 670cfm Truck Avenger Carb., Limited Slip rear and factory tow package with heavy duty cooling and a trans cooler!

The original paint, as you will see in the pictures, looks like glass and shines like new! Please note that you will not see any imperfections in the pictures but there are a few. For example, the paint is a little thin in a spot or two, a little wear mark the size of a quarter. Also there is some etching on the leading edges of the hood and roof from bugs. And the upper part of the driver’s quarter panel, above the horizontal dual pinstripes and below the tinted window, shows some ‘checking’ or hairline cracking of the paint. But please don’t mistake my criticisms for anything other than I am trying to be extremely accurate in my description. Stand 5 feet back and the truck looks showroom new! Because of those few minor imperfections in the paint, in my opinion this isn’t a ‘museum quality’ truck; although it is very  close to being one. The flaws in the paint are very very minor for sure.

The interior of this Eddie Bauer is LIKE NEW! No rips, stains or wear! It is absolutely gorgeous and shows beautifully. All the trim pieces are original and in excellent condition, as are the carpets and seats. The power door locks and windows all work perfectly. The original radio works great.

Out on the road this truck performs wonderfully. It starts right up, idles great and it is smooth and very tight (and has plenty of power). It actually drives tighter than most Broncos! The C-6 transmission and engine both operate without any problems whatsoever. It does need a muffler.  I simply have not had time to replace it.  It’s just like stepping back in time and picking up a slightly used Bronco! And with only 63k actual miles, this Bronco has a long road ahead of it. And rest assured that the previous owner, changed the oil regularly and kept a record in the Bronco books.

If you are looking for an original, older Eddie Bauer with all the right equipment, then do yourself a favor and consider this Bronco.

The truck is available any time for your inspection or 3rd party inspector. I am also willing to take this truck to have it inspected at any local Ford dealer at your expense.

RTR Spec 5 Concept shows off 2015 Ford Mustang's drifty potential

Wed, 05 Nov 2014

Meet the Ford Mustang RTR Spec 5 Concept, a fully functional drift car that, according to our team in Sin City, has been doling out demo drifts in front of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Destined to be the flagship of RTR's Tactical Performance Line, the Spec 5 Concept is, in addition to its 5.0-liter Aluminator V8 engine, chock full of performance parts that you can buy for your very own 2015 Mustang. In addition to the Ford Racing engine, the OEM parts supplier has lent the Spec 5 an aluminum radiator and a close-ratio six-speed transmission.
ASD Motorsports provided the front lower control arms, while the car itself rides on a fully customized coilover suspension. Magnaflow and American Racing have provided the exhaust system and headers, respectively. 20-inch HRE wheels, designed for RTR, are wrapped in sticky Nitto rubber.

Chevy's latest Silverado videos assume we're idiots

Mon, Jul 6 2015

UPDATE: This article has been revised to reflect that any mention of materials used in a future Chevrolet Silverado is speculation. Can we have a sound, rational debate about the merits of aluminum versus steel? According to Chevrolet's latest marketing videos pitting the Silverado against the Ford F-150, the answer is no. The tone of all three ads is almost Orwellian: steel good, aluminum bad. Of course, this will all be a hilarious joke when an aluminum-bodied Silverado comes in 2018. That's an if, as a member of the General Motor public relations team has reminded me that any articles regarding future product are pure speculation. Until then Chevy needs to sell the current Silverado, with its body comprised chiefly of steel, against the Ford F-150's lightweight aluminum panels. Instead of touting the merits of the "most-dependable, longest lasting pickup," the strategy seems to center around negative propaganda towards the 13th element. The tone of all three ads is almost Orwellian: steel good, aluminum bad. Of the three videos, the most fair is Silverado vs. F-150 Repair Costs and Time: Howie Long Head to Head. Basically: aluminum costs more than steel, it's more difficult to repair, and requires special equipment for body shops. In terms of Chevy versus Ford, the blue oval truck costs more and takes longer to repair - an average of $1,755 more and 34 more days in the shop, according to the ad. But why stop there when you can have pitchman Howie Long raising an eyebrow at random facts? When Silverado Chief Engineer Eric Stanczak says of the Ford, "It's manufactured in a way that combines aluminum, rivets, and adhesive in a process that's different than Silverado." Long responds, "Huh. Interesting." At the end of the video, Long says "I'd be interested to know what happens to insurance costs." Note he's not saying anything substantive. If Chevy's legal team could sign off on some facts about insurance rates, it would be in this ad. On our Autoblog Cost to Own calculator, there is no significant difference in projected insurance costs between the two trucks. But at least that ad has facts. The other two videos are pure hype. In Cages: High Stength Steel, real people are asked what they think of aluminum and steel in a room with two cages. Then a bear is released into the room, and the subjects scurry to the safety of the steel cage.

A tribute to William Clay Ford

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

The passing of William Clay Ford has been a big event for the company he spent most of his life helping run. Ford spent 57 years working for his family's company. Considering the Blue Oval has been around for over 100 years, WCF's passing is the end of an era for the Dearborn-based manufacturer.
Ford's YouTube channel has issued a short memorial video highlighting the life of the longest-lived grandson of company founder Henry Ford. It follows William Clay from his time as a boy, showing him alongside his grandfather, through his younger years, and into his twilight, as the patriarch of the Ford family.
Take a look below for this touching memorial video on William Clay Ford.
