1978 Ford Bronco Xlt, 351 Cleveland, Az Vehicle No Rust!!!! on 2040-cars

Up for bid is this nice 1978 Ford Bronco Ranger XLT. It has NO RUST, and no bondo or filler that we have found. AZ 4X4, has a 351 Cleveland with approx 20K miles on the motor. The odometer reads 74,221, however those miles are actually unknown, as it was owned prior to my dad. The vehicle runs excellent, fires right up with no problems and travels great on the highway. The rebuilt 351 Cleveland was installed in 2004, and has only had 20k miles put on since. As you can see, it does not get driven much and averages 2k miles per year. It is not a Salvage title, it is a class C title which means actual miles unknown. It could possibly be 74k original miles, but its not known. It does have new door panels, new carpet, and new visors. The four wheel drive works, and there are no issues with the running gear. It had new U-Joints installed front and rear in Oct 2012, along with a new rear drive shaft. In Jan of 2012 it had a new cap, rotor, points, and condensor installed, and in Feb 2011 it had new plugs and wires. This year its had a new battery box installed, new windshield washer container and pump. Chrome valve covers, Edlebrock intake, carb, and air cleaner. 4” lift with Bridgestone 33x12.50x15 tires at 75% tread. The vehicle has very minor leaks, occasionally you will see a drip from the tranny, or a small drip from the oil pan, but it does not have actual leaks that need fixed or that cause the vehicle to have to replace fluids constantly. It has MM locking hubs, Dual exhaust with flow masters (sounds awesome), the belts and hoses are all in great shape. It does not have a radio or a CD player in it, the dash has never been cut or altered to have stereo system installed (rare). There is no backseat in this Bronco. It does have a spare tire in the back, but obviously no spare tire carrier on the back, please see photos. It does have the original dash, which does have cracks in it, also note that it does have a split bench seat, with a tear in the seat on the drivers side. The rear window is electric, it does work, however it needs a new switch. Prior to listing the window was tested, it does work, again just needs a new switch. There are very minute small dings on the vehicle, however there is one actual dent on the drivers side door, very small dent, please see photots. Also the rear bumper does have a small dent as well. The bronco has small paints chips, especially behind each tire from rocks on the highway. On the front there is a chrome brush guard, all the lights work with the exception of the dome light, it just needs a new bulb. The side windows on the shell are both sliders, and there are various spare/extra interior parts that will come with the vehicle. On the rear bumper it is missing a license plate light. The wheels are aluminum, 10” wide, and in good shape. It does not have AC, even though it is AC compatible, and the heater works. Again this is not a salvage title, which is a hard thing to find on these older vehicles. It has NO RUST!!! AZ vehicle well taken care of and maintained!!! For someone looking to do a full restore this is the one!!! This Bronco is bad to the bone off road, I would highly recommend putting an experienced off road driver behind the wheel!!! The 351 Cleveland has an extreme amount of power!!!

Here's the new face of the Ford Ranger
Thu, Nov 27 2014Ford Asia Pacific has put a teaser video on YouTube showing off details on the 2015 Ranger pickup, and at the end we get a quick glimpse of the whole truck. This is the T6 Ranger that we still don't get in North America, but that shares its underpinnings with the Everest SUV recently introduced at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum. The Ranger gets a chunkier front end than the Everest, identified by its grille with three floating slats, reminiscent of designs on the previous F-150, and a less-stylized lower front bumper. Ford says it will be smarter, safer, smoother and stronger, but we'll have to wait for its reveal to find out what that means. Meanwhile, you can admire its new looks in the video below.
Galpin Ford GTR1 supercar debuts in Monterey
Fri, 16 Aug 2013Galpin Auto Sports has finally taken the wraps off the car we first previewed back in December, the Galpin Ford GTR1. A few weeks ago, we posted the first hints of just what the GTR1 would be capable of, with Galpin teasing that its 5.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 would produce in excess of 1000 horsepower, with a top speed of 225 miles per hour. Package all that in a coachbuilt body, and you have the recipe for one wicked supercar.
The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000.
Now, we have all the glorious details. Galpin is targeting a production run of six cars, but if interest is strong enough, will expand its initial quote to 24 vehicles. The price for the carbon fiber-bodied car is $1,024,000. Opting for the aluminum bodywork could lower that, although it's not immediately clear by how much.
Watch a Ford Bronco casually jump a McLaren 720S
Sun, Sep 8 2019Michael Cox can't stop jumping his classic Ford Bronco. He's jumped it on the beach. He's jumped it in the desert. He's jumped it at racetracks. Now he's jumped it in Hoonigan's backyard playground. Upping the ante on this one, he completed the jump while a modded McLaren 720S drifted underneath. For those who don't know Michael Cox, he's a builder, racer, mad man extraordinaire who's worked with BMW and Porsche and specializes in off-road racing. Possibly more famous than the man is the vehicle he's known for driving, a custom-built Bronco that sports a cat-themed desert camo wrap. Technically, this is not the first time Cox has visited Hoonigan and jumped his Bronco. But last time, the Bronco soared over nothing but tire crumbs and those tiny pebbles that get stuck in tread. This time, the stakes grew significantly, as a custom 720S drifted under the Bronco while it was in the air. After a few donuts, Cox first tries a jump over a flatbed trailer. Once he easily clears that obstacle, Hoonigan brings the McLaren into the picture. Watch the video above to see a few crazy men show total disregard for the cost of a supercar. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences.
