1974 Ford Bronco Ranger, All Original, Uncut Fenders, Rust Free, 200+ Photos on 2040-cars
Tempe, Arizona, United States
Up for auction is a super clean, rust free 1974 Ford Bronco with the coveted Ranger package, factory 302 V8, finished in Limestone Green Poly with green vinyl buckets with houndstooth inserts, rear bench. I was told I bought this from the second owner and the truck spent all of its days in Phoenix, AZ which appears to be accurate as indicated by the DSO 75 on the date plate. The rear fenders remain uncut from the factory. The driver and passenger floors are the cleanest original pans I have ever seen.
The clear Arizona title shows 79,278 miles and Box A which in Arizona indicates Original Mileage. However, the odometer shows 59,278 miles which seems to be a DMV mistake. The previous title was also a "Box A" actual miles so it is very likely this was a honest typo mistake by DMV. Either way I am disclosing it. The title is clear and in my name. The truck runs and drives but the fuel pump is disconnected from the fuel tanks and the previous owner disconnected the ignition wiring. In order to get it running I just replaced the following: master brake cylinder, wheels bearings, new carburetor, distributor cap, wires. I would recommend new fuel tanks, tune up, new motor mounts, transmission mount, and interior. The original interior is in original condition and is dry rotted. The dash pad is also in need of replacement and some attention to the ignition, headlights and other wiring is needed. With some work this would be a great fun daily driver or show truck restoration candidate. The old truck market is very hot right now, especially for early Bronco's. The Desert Southwest climate is perfect for these rust prone classics and this is a stunning example. Take a look at the pictures and you will see every detail. There is no rust on this truck besides surface rust, it is solid. I have left the truck in original condition without trying to clean and cover up anything, it is original and unrestored. If additional pictures are wanted please message me and I will do my best to respond quickly. I have a two post lift in my garage so if you want any detail pictures of the undercarriage that I have not included feel free to ask. I will be available this weekend for picture taking and out of town Thur-Fri next week. If you e-mail me through eBay and would like to talk over the phone please leave a number and I will call you. The truck is located at my home in Queen Creek, AZ but I can accommodate out of state buyers. My office is 15 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and I would be happy to pick you up at the airport and bring the Bronco to my office for inspection. I also have a lift at my office. I will also be glad to help with transportation. I have used Reliable Carriers and they are located close to my office in Tempe. I can drop at their terminal which usually saves you a hundred dollars versus a residential pickup. You may also call me with any questions. If I do not answer leave a message. Chris 480-213-2686 Good luck and happy bidding.

Project CARS 2 is coming
Tue, Jun 23 2015It's barely been a month since we released our review on Project CARS, and already, developers Slightly Mad Studios is preparing a sequel. It'll use the same crowd-funding formula that put together such a successful game this time around. The sequel was announced on the World of Mass Development portal, the same source of crowdfunding for the first Project CARS. Among the enhancements Slightly Mad is planning, there's the usual promise of more tracks and cars, but what we're really looking forward to is the news hidden in that promise. Project CARS 2 will boast bigger, more exciting forms of racing, including rallycross. In total, there will be over "50 unique locations and 200+ courses," "8 different disciplines," and "200+ cars from over 40 different vehicle classes including never-before-seen Concepts and Banned Race Cars." Yes, this all sounds very good. Project CARS 2 will also add a new customizable test track feature, and there will be an increased emphasis on both co-op and social gameplay and "skill and behavioral-based matchmaking" in online play. The crowdfunding campaign for the new title is currently underway, although it's unclear when we'll get a planned release date. As for our own wish list, it's remarkably short. We'd like a more fully fleshed out career mode, actual vehicle upgrades and customization options, and a genuine economy would be welcomed additions. Part of the fun of racing titles is working up the coin to acquire new and exciting cars. It's not that we mind full access to the game's entire roster of vehicles, we just wish that in the career mode, there was a bit more planning and challenge to getting ahold of new racers. In short, we want the best parts of Forza Motorsport with combined with the best parts of Project CARS. Oh, and if the frame-rate issues we experienced on the Xbox One could be sorted out too. What would you like to see included in Project CARS 2? Perhaps cleaner menus? A better soundtrack? Have your say down in Comments. Until then, check out the launch announcement over at WMD. Subaru Legacy pitted against Roadkill project cars
Fri, 05 Sep 2014There's an evergreen debate among auto enthusiasts about whether they would prefer to have the latest and greatest car of today or a certified classic from yesteryear. What if you had to further define that, though, and the choice was between a brand new 2015 Subaru Legacy or a turbocharged Datsun 240Z with a hatch that wouldn't close? Roadkill aimed to find out that and more in one of its best videos to date.
According to the hosts, Subaru came to them, handed over some money and challenged Roadkill's project cars against its latest Legacy. The result is every bit as good (or better) than any automotive-themed show you could find on television.
Things start simple with a figure-eight race in a rodeo arena with the Subaru taking on Roadkill's 1968 Ford Ranchero, originally built for ice racing. From there the Legacy races a 1968 Dodge Charger with no windows around and off-road rally stage. Finally, the Subie goes head-to-head against the Rotsun, the aforementioned turbocharged 240Z, through an abandoned neighborhood. Plus, there's a bonus drag race challenging them all.
Ford running short of F-150 frames
Sun, Jun 7 2015Like most any automaker, Ford is eager to build as many F-150 pickups as it can sell. And considering that the truck has long stood as the top selling vehicle in the United States, that means building (and selling) a lot of them. Further, Ford reports that its factories are finally fully up to speed and ready to build as many F-150s as dealers can sell. Unfortunately another factor is reportedly preventing the new aluminum-bodied pickup from reaching its potential. According to Automotive News and as we've heard before, the Blue Oval automaker has had trouble getting its hands on as many frames as it needs. Though Ford would not confirm the shortage itself, AN cites union sources in reporting that the Metalsa plant in Kentucky, which produces the new F-150's frame for Ford, has been unable to meet the demand for more such frames. "Whenever you have launches, you have issues that you have to deal with in the supply base," is all Ford CFO Bob Shanks would admit. "We're always working closely with suppliers if there's an issue to sort it out. If that were the case, that's what we'd be doing." The reported supply shortage could be why plans for overtime production are reportedly being canceled at both the plants in Kansas City and Dearborn where the F-150s are assembled, despite reaching or nearing full capacity. The shortage could also help explain why, according to AN, sales of the F-Series in the United States fell nearly 10 percent last month, while the rest of the pickup market rose 17 percent.
