1967 Ford Bronco - 6 Cylinder - 4x4

I'm selling this Bronco for a friend and I am blown away by how much attention it gets.  The speedometer reads 70,000 miles, but it is not working righ now.  It is a 3 speed manual on the tree.  He has put a ton of new parts on the truck...see below.

Partial list of new parts:

  • Disk brakes on front
  • Gas tanks
  • Exhaust
  • Brake lines
  • Brakes
  • Drag link
  • Locking differentials
  • Crager wheels
  • Tires
  • Wild Horses twin stick shifters
  • 3 bucket seats with console

On top of those new parts, it has these features:

  • 4 inch suspension lift kit with Wild Horses springs
  • Removable bikini top
  • Removable hard top that with new $500 paint job (white)
  • Original shop manual
  • 8,000 lb. Warn winch
  • Custom fabricated front bumper with receiver
  • Customer fabricated rear bumper with receiver, removable jack stand, mounted gas tank and spare wheel.

The frame and chassis under the truck are in fantastic shape.  No rust holes.  It looks pretty fresh and new...very solid.  The body is really solid, but does have a little rust.  As you can see in the photos, several body panels are new and in primer - (passenger front fender and tail gate).  He also has brand new Dynacorn rear quarter panels and driver's door post that will be included with the Bronco if the winning bid is $7,500 or higher.  This will make a great truck for someone...1967 Broncos in this shape are really hard to find!  It starts right up and runs/drives great.

Call Erik at 309-530-5555 with questions.  You can also email me at:  erik.barnlund@gmail.com

The reserve price is set to only $6,900!  It is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to pull the auction early if it sells outside of eBay.  Thank you for looking.

2015 Ford Mustang Convertible shown on Twitter [UPDATE w/video]

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

It hasn't yet been 12 hours since the hotly anticipated 2015 Ford Mustang has been let out into public view. After a series of evocative leaks over the course of the last days, we brought you a full deep dive of the sixth-generation pony car at the dawning of today. And yet, here we are rushing to bring you news of a new Mustang variant, already.
Be it part of a plan to keep the Mustang fervor at full boil, or a misunderstood email somewhere in the chain of command, Ford UK has unceremoniously tweeted a picture of the 2015 Ford Mustang Convertible. For a newly global Mustang, getting our first look at the droptop from the convertible-crazy British does make some amount of sense.
As for details, well, you're looking at them. Brandon Turkus reported yesterday that the Mustang 'vert would make use of a fully electric convertible mechanism, and that it would be of fabric construction rather than some kind of retractable hardtop. We see here that the fabric part is clearly true, and it does look as though Ford may still be employing the same kind of manually attached tonneau cover that exists right now. Of course, our view from this angle isn't great, and the particulars are still up in the air.

2015 Ford F-150 configurator is ready to go to work

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

Ford is inching towards the on-sale date for the eagerly anticipated, aluminum F-150 pickup. While we're preparing to drive the new truck (expect our take on it sooner rather than later), the best-seller has reached another, albeit more minor, milestone as its online configurator has officially been switched on.
We took to Ford's consumer website to mess about with it and see just how ridiculous of a truck we can build. Among the fun things we discovered were these two nuggets - the most expensive truck we could configure was not the top-end Platinum model, but instead the King Ranch, which rang up at $65,955. The other exciting discovery? The new truck would be available in a questionable shade called Blue Jeans (shown above with the optional contrasting Caribou paint). Yep, Blue Jeans.
You can head over to Ford's consumer page and build your very own aluminum F-150 now. Take a look.

NHTSA investigating Ford's solution to May 2014 power steering recall

Tue, Apr 7 2015

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating a complaint that Ford's response to a May 2014 recall of the 2008 to 2011 Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner doesn't quite go far enough to solve a troubling power-steering problem. Roughly a year ago, Ford recalled nearly a million vehicles after it was found that a problem with the torque sensor's communication with the power steering control module could cut steering assistance for drivers. While manual steering would still be available, the problem was enough to ask drivers to report in to have the PSCM inspected, and if necessary, replaced (along with the torque sensor, or in dramatic cases, the entire steering column). That would only happen, though, if trouble codes were being thrown. If there weren't any problems, dealers were told to simply update the PSCM's software so that any issues between it and the torque sensor would simply throw a visual and audio warning – power steering would still be maintained. The petitioner claimed that following the recall work, he still experienced a problem with the torque sensor. According to NHTSA, a claim was made that Ford didn't go far enough in its solution to the problem, and that "the software update itself may in fact cause further issues with the affected vehicle's power steering, causing it to fail, and ultimately requiring replacement of the torque sensor or entire steering column." The petition was filed in early February and is now officially being looked into by NHTSA.
