1984 Ford Bronco Ii 4x4 • Very Low Miles • Very Clean on 2040-cars

For Sale: 1984 Ford Bronco II XLT 4x4
This Bronco is in great condition and has very low mileage for its age (45,2** original miles). I am the second owner of this Bronco and have had it for about 18 months. The original owner was an elderly gentleman who lived in Franklin, Texas and primarily used the truck on his farm. To my knowledge, it has been garage kept most of its life and it shows. The truck runs great, AC blows cold, engine is strong, power steering is perfect and 4x4 is fully functional. This is easily the cleanest, lowest mileage Bronco II available in all of the market today. This was the first production year for the BII and has all available options on the XLT. For the time, this was a decked out truck. Stats: I currently use this Bronco as a daily driver for my short commute to my office downtown. It runs great and has had several repairs / upgrades in the last two years: - Professionally converted AC to R410. AC Blows cold! - New Water Pump ( ~ 6mo ago) - New Belts (1mo ago) - New Carburetor (1mo ago) - New Alternator (1yr ago) - New Battery (2yr ago) - New tires (2yr ago - Less than 5K mi) The Good: - 4x4 works great - AC works great and blows cold - Transmission shifts smoothly ad feels brand new - Truck is smooth on the highway at 65mph - Power Steering is in perfect shape - Engine is strong Known Issues: Due to the age of this truck, it has several minor items that are worth disclosing: - Cruise control does not work - Fuel gauge is on the fritz - Wipers only have 2 speeds instead of 5 - Interior map light does not work and needs electrical work to be fixed. - Body has minor dents and abrasions. Some of these have surface rusting (no structural rust!) - Minor exhaust leak in the engine comartment that produces an audible clicking sound. |

Inside the 2016 Ford Focus RS at the New York Auto Show
Fri, Apr 3 2015The Ford Focus RS made its US debut Wednesday at the New York Auto Show, offering Americans their first chance to experience the hot hatch live and in the flesh. Naturally, we wanted to know more, especially about what the Focus RS will mean to US buyers. We caught up with John Wicks with Ford Performance program management and Omar Odeh, a Focus product marketing manager, on the show floor of the Javits Center in New York, where they explained the ins- and outs of all-things Focus RS. The car was first revealed in Germany in February, and then traveled to the the Geneva Motor Show in March. It will employ a modified version of the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder used in the 2015 Mustang tuned to make more than 315 horsepower. It also received upgraded brakes, suspension components and aerodynamic pieces compared with more sedate Focus models. Underscoring its sporting credentials, Ken Block helped Ford engineers during the hatch's development, and the Focus RS showcases a new all-wheel-drive system with torque-vectoring. The New York show debuted two colors that will be worn on the production Focus RS: a light, bright shade called Nitrous Blue and a more sinister hue named Stealth Gray. The Focus RS enters production late this year at a factory in Germany. New York Auto Show Ford Hatchback Performance Videos 2015 ny auto show
Ford recalling 12,300 2015 F-150 pickups
Tue, May 12 2015Ford is recalling 12,300 of its new 2015 F-150 pickup trucks in North America. According to the automaker, an upper l-shaft may have been riveted improperly on these trucks, which can cause it to separate. If that happens, drivers may lose steering control without warning. Yikes. The affected trucks were built at Ford's Kansas City Assembly Plant between March 21 and 25, as well as the Dearborn Truck Plant between March 21 and 30. There are 12,328 total trucks included in this recall – 8,963 in the United States, 3,348 in Canada, and 17 in Mexico. Only 5,606 of the trucks are in customers' hands, the rest have yet to be sold. Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this problem, but knows of one incident where steering control was lost, and believes it to be related to this issue. Scroll down for Ford's official statement. New Ford Escape spied inside and out
Fri, Jun 26 2015For the 2016 model year, the Ford Escape receives the Blue Oval's latest Sync 3 infotainment system and some minor tweaks to the color and trim options. Based on these new spy shots, it would appear that the crossover is due for some much bigger changes not too far into the future, as well. The thorough refresh isn't just an exterior styling update, either. Ford's designers are giving the future Escape a front end that's a bit more in the style of the latest Edge, at least based on these shots. Peek behind the mesh obscuring the grille, and the styling there now appears to have a hexagonal shape with horizontal slats and a smaller, lower intake. At the same time, the headlights are narrower and come to a sharper point as they wrap around the fender. The heavy camouflage makes the changes at the back harder to spot, although the taillights seem subtly tweaked with a similar overall shape but a clear stripe cutting through the center. The Escape also seems to be receiving a completely different center stack inside, but the area is still well concealed. The gearshift moves down between the seats, and that allows physical controls for the radio and HVAC to take that real estate. It's possible that the infotainment screen might pop up from the mesh-covered area you can see at the top of the interior photos. Take a look through the gallery for some detailed shots of Ford's camouflaged crossover.
