This vehicle must be picked up in Mahomet IL, approximately 5 miles west of Champaign-Urbana. This bid is for a 2002 Ford Windstar 4 door Mini Van. The vehicle has 100,327 miles on it, but the van is still in good working order. This vehicle is owned by a county forest preserve. The vehicle was purchased new and has been used mainly for transporting supplies and staff between 3 forest preserves in Champaign County. The vehicle has been regularly serviced and all service records will come with the vehicle. As you can see from the pictures, the vehicle has some rust areas along lower edges and is missing paint on a small area on the front hood. Recently, the front/left coil spring broke and damaged the front tire, thus the front tire was destroyed. Currently the spare 'donut' tire is on the vehicle, so it is driveable, but will not be able to be driven too far without that being replaced. The coil spring was replaced, so the vehicle is in working order. The vehicle will need to be picked up between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday - Friday. |

This 2,000-hp Mustang is in serious need of wheelie bars
Tue, 25 Feb 2014The Ford Mustang on the right is drag racing with the standard technique. The Mustang on the left, driven by David Measell, is using a new "rear bumper only" technique that evidently surprised everyone at the South Georgia Motorsports Park strip - including Measell.
Measell said his outfit just bought the car the week before the event, noting that it has more than 2,000 horsepower. Speaking of his "flying" run, Measell said, "We turned it up to dip on down," by which he meant they turned up the power in order to get his time down. Turns out all that power and all that traction sent the nose straight up into the air almost as soon as the race began.
He told an interviewer afterward that this was his first race in a "regular car" since he normally drives a pro-mod. "I like my wheelie bars," he concluded. You can see how he got there in the video below.
Ford dinged by OSHA for asbestos at Buffalo plant
Sat, 20 Jul 2013Ford has come under fire from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for violations regarding asbestos exposure in a company metal stamping plant in Buffalo, NY. OSHA has cited Ford for eight violations in total, according to an Automotive News report, and faces fines of up to $41,800. 537 workers are employed at the stamping facility.
The violations include a pipefitter at the facility being exposed to asbestos-containing material while working on a steam line, other workers exposed to the material without respiratory protection and work areas that were not designed to limited the number of workers in contact with asbestos. Further, areas in which asbestos was present were not properly restricted, and levels of asbestos in the air were not monitored.
According to an unnamed Ford spokesperson in the AN report, the company feels that the OSHA citation is erroneous saying, "We have fully cooperated with the local OSHA officials and we don't believe the citations are warranted." Ford also maintains that it will work with the authorities to resolve the issue.
Leno recalls '90s showdown with Tim Allen and his mullet

After reminiscing about the old days in a gorgeous garage, the comedians get into two modern machines to reprise the classic challenge – after a little trash talk anyway. Don't worry because the YouTube series isn't going anywhere, though.
