1971 Torino Station Wagon. 40000 original miles. This car is rust free! And in all original condition! When is the last time you even saw one, let alone in this condition! Don't get me wrong, there are a few imperfections. There are a couple of dings and small dents on the car. And there are some paint touch ups, but after all, it's 43 years old! The paint was pretty dull, so I took it over to a professional detailer, and it really came out pretty darn nice!

The car runs and drives great! (well I mean for a 43 year old car). It has the 250 straight six with a C-4 Automatic. And a 9" (station wagons got the 9" rearend as standard equipment) with 3:00 gears. (car gets great gas mileage).

The interior is in very nice condition. No rips or tears in the seats, a couple of small holes in the headliner. The dash pad has one small spot on it. The rear cargo area is very nice, usually wagons were beat up back there. It doesn't have the third row seats. Everything works too! Radio, lights, turn signals, horn, etc. (I put in all new LED bulbs in the dash board lights). Car also has the rubber flooring and not carpet.

I have never found any rust on this car. Typical to Station wagons, usually the tailgates are rotted out, not this car! (see pic's). Also the spare tire storage area's are usually rotted, but not on this car!

The rear power window only works from the inside, and it needs someone to help it up and down while someone runs the switch. The rear key switch on the rear door handle doesn't work at all.

Car comes with the original 14" wheels and hubcaps with brand new tires. Also included are 15" Magnum 500's (tires really should be replaced)

All options are listed on the Marti Report, and everything matches to the car.

I recently showed the car at the Fairlane National's and it took a 3rd place in the 1971 Torino Class!

You are more than welcome to come and inspect the car, or have someone else look at it, and I highly recommend it. I have sold cars on ebay in the past, and have had no complaints.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of things, so if you have any questions, please call Ron @ 734 735 2260. I prefer calls or text, as I don't always check my email

2015 Ford Mustang renders reveal look of the real thing

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

This is, according to the pony-car obsessed kids over at Mustang6G.com, the closest, most accurate rendering of the new, 2015 Ford Mustang to date. Artis Chazcron used a combination of Ford CAD images and information from assorted spy shots to assemble a fairly handsome car, albeit one that conforms to the tired cliché of being more evolutionary than revolutionary.
Now, it's very important to note that these are still speculative renders, and that they only represent the base car - that could explain the lack of the Mustang's vestigial side scoops, along with other, newer styling cues that Mustang6G seems to think will arrive on production models. Those items include a new, double-bubble roof, although the Mustang aficionados claim that even if it were present, it'd barely be visible from these angles.
The front end is pretty spot on, compared to what we've seen from earlier spy shots, while the tail, with its interesting light design is something new. The louvered taillights look quite different from the current version, obviously, though Mustang has gone the whimsical route with taillights before. Also, note the new rear diffuser uses an integrated reverse light and rear foglight, the latter of which is required for sale in Europe.

Best new convertibles for 2024 and 2025

Thu, Jan 25 2024

If you’re here, then youÂ’re already in the right mindset. Convertibles rule, and we have all the best convertibles listed for you further below. Driving around with the top off is an experience you need to live to fall in love with. When the weatherÂ’s right, youÂ’re on a proper bit of road, and the car youÂ’re in is a good one, few automotive experiences can top it. The experience is extra special when you have a musical exhaust note filtering directly into your ears and echoing off the landscape around you. And while rolling the windows down and opening a moonroof can get you part of the way there, it's nothing like feeling the wind wash over you with absolutely no roof overhead. The downsides can be just as harsh as the upsides when youÂ’re in the wrong conditions, though. Convertibles are typically worse to live with in cold climates, and driving around with the top up frequently means you might be subject to more road noise and worse visibility than an equivalent coupe. And when it comes to pure performance, convertibles are inherently compromised from a weight and structural rigidity perspective. All that said, we still think the upsides outweigh the compromises if your number one objective is to simply have fun. ItÂ’s a good thing then that there are a ton of great convertibles for sale these days. And no, the list of possibilities isnÂ’t as long as it used to be. Long-running standbys like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and C-Class Convertibles are gone (replaced by the one CLE-Class). And so are others like the Audi TT Roadster, Fiat 124 Spider and Nissan Z Roadster. Nevertheless, opportunities abound from the ultra-cheap and fun, to physics-defying supercars and everything else in between. WeÂ’ll give you options for which new convertibles we think are the best below, so read on to find out.   Mazda MX-5 Miata Pros: Lightweight and compact; great engine and transmission combo; one of the most raw and pure driving experiences out thereCons: Not great for tall people; infotainment is dated; tiny trunk Read our Mazda MX-5 Miata Review Miata is always the answer, right? In this case, that rings even more true than usual. In fact, you could stop reading this list right here and go buy a Miata and youÂ’d likely be just as happy driving it around as you would be in any of the more expensive offerings that follow. ThatÂ’s just the magic of the MX-5.

Ford acquires Livio to bolster connectivity biz

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

Ford Motor Company has announced the acquisition of Livio, a Ferndale, MI-based software development company best known for aftermarket in-car connectivity devices, but also as a supplier of technology for proprietary systems for automakers. Livio, co-founded by Sigal and Massimo Baldini, will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Global Technologies.
"With the additional expertise Livio provides us, Ford intends to continue to lead the next generation of in-car connectivity with technology advancements that give consumers more options to access their devices on the go," said Paul Mascarenas, chief technical officer and vice president, Ford Research and Innovation, in a statement.
Ford is clearly trying to beef up its in-house tech capability around telematics and device connectivity. While the Blue Oval has been a leader in these areas with SYNC and MyFord Touch in terms of getting the systems into as many cars as possible, the execution of the applications have been criticized for glitches.
