Car is sold as is. I do not have the title, nor do I know who the previous owner was. The car was abandoned in barn storage, and the person that was responsible for the car for the past ten years just let it sit. The motor was running, but the battery was removed so you will need to get your own. The car is not drivable as it has been sitting too long and the tires are unsafe to drive. I took it out of the barn last week to make room for more storage. It will need a lot of work, but the body is straight, there top can be reupholstered, and the only inhibiting rust is on the undercarriage. The rocker panels need to be replaced as they are rusted through. All in all, this car is in great shape for not having had any care in the past decade. All of the accessories are there, but need to be refinished. The trunk needs to be replaced, but appears that they are available for less than $200 with shipping. Do your homework before bidding.
Exclusives: You will more than likely not find another opportunity to restore an early Thunderbird with these options.
$200 non-refundable deposit is required at auction end. Payment must be made cash or verifiable funds (cashier's check or money order) during business hours for pick up.

Ford and 'Dirty Jobs' pitchman Mike Rowe part ways [w/videos]
Thu, 20 Feb 2014Former Dirty Jobs host Mike Rowe has one less job as of today - the pitchman is no longer a pitchman for Ford, with yesterday's announcement from Rowe ending a seven-year partnership between the TV host and the Blue Oval.
Rowe made the announcement to political pundit Glenn Beck, saying the two are "going in different directions" and wishing Ford "every possibly success that any car company could ever have," according to The Detroit News. Rowe and Ford got together in 2005, right around the time the 51-year-old came to prominence as the host of Dirty Jobs and the narrator for Deadliest Catch, two of the Discovery Channel's most popular shows.
Take a look below for a few video snippets of Rowe's tenure at Ford.
Ford dealer loses Super Bowl bet, pays $300K to lucky customers [w/video]
Tue, 11 Feb 2014A Missouri Ford dealership's Super Bowl weekend sale cost it big when the improbable happened. Hutcheson Ford ran a promotion from January 29 to February 1, called the Super Weekend Sale. The gist was, if any customer purchased a vehicle between those dates and either the opening or second-half kickoff of the big game was returned for a touchdown, the dealership would refund the purchase price.
In the dealership's defense, it seemed like a safe bet. According to the mathematicians, there was just a 2.5-percent chance of either half opening with a touchdown return. But that didn't stop Seattle's Percy Harvin from doing his part to ruin Denver's evening, returning the second-half kick for an 87-yard touchdown run. Twelve Hutcheson customers were eligible for refunds thanks to the return, with prices ranging from $10,000 to $55,000, according to Automotive News. The total amount shelled out by the dealership? $300,000.
"At least we're not like that furniture guy that lost $7 million," dealership marketing manager Kathleen Frazier told AN. We think it was a big success." The dealership did take out insurance to cover its losses, meaning the $300K won't come entirely from its pockets.
