Not your run-of-the-mill pickup truck. It has not been used as a "work truck", but as a personal vehicle instead. It has not been abused and I've garaged it since I purchased it in 2010. This is the Edge edition which features a different suspension (sits higher), rubber mat instead of carpeted floors, raised hood scoop, bed rails from factory, amongst other things. This truck has jump seats in the back and, legally accommodates 5 (5 seat belts). It features Westin step bars, alloy wheels and a sliding back window. Also has a Ford under-the-rail bedliner.
MECHANICALLY:
145,000 miles. Always Mobil 1 synthetic used, no oil leaks. K&N air filter installed in 12/2010.
Both front upper control arms were replaced in Feb. 2011 and were both purchased at the dealership. New coil pack on 10/2011, new MAF sensor 10/2011, all 3 O2 sensors replaced (2 front-1rear) 10/2011. Shocks were replaced with heavy duty "towing grade" shocks in Dec. 2011. Front brakes done in 1/2012. Transmission clutch and components was done in Feb. 2013, with all parts purchased at the dealership (over $350 in parts only); transmission was flushed then and new fluid was used. Also replaced then was the rear main seal of the engine. Rear differential gear oil was replaced on July 2013 and synthetic gear oil was used.
New battery in July 2013 with a 3year warranty from Sam's Club, new OEM synchronizer and cam sensor from Ford in Aug. 2013 (about $160 in parts). Clean and smooth engine. AC very cold, heater works as well. ORIGINALLY A FL TRUCK; has been in GA since 6/2011 but as I stated before, always garaged.
INTERIOR
No tears in the seats, non-smoker owner, not a crack in the dashboard, no funny smells, CD stereo with aux input.
EXTERIOR
White factory paint, very well taken care of (waxed regularly), no paint peeling, no dullness, only thing that's not factory paint is the front bumper, which was painted because of FL love-bug damage (body shop did a great job though).
Cons:
Truck has a small ding in the right rear portion of the bed (very small) and another ding in the driver door on the bottom. Not big, not dents.
Windshield is cracked. It does not block your view.
Truck will need tires soon.
There's a rubber boot around the driver's side inner tie rod end that has a small tear. I just discovered it, I've purchased the part and, will TRY to have it done prior to selling the truck-no guarantees though.
NOTE: I have the receipts from these and many other things I've done to this truck. I've spent on anything it needed. I've recently purchased a larger truck and, this one has to go-this is THE ONLY REASON I'm selling this truck. CLEAR TITLE IN HAND. Eventhough this truck is in really good condition, this is still a used, 11 year old truck...it's not brand new. Send me an email to obtain my phone number.

Sunday Drive: Volvo hits a crossover home run, and people still love sports cars

Sun, Sep 24 2017

Looking back at the week that just was clearly tells us at least three things. First, crossovers don't have to be boring. Second, people still love sports cars, from the attainable (Audi TT RS) to the fanciful (Mercedes-AMG GT C). And finally, the traditional German trio of premium luxury brands had better not rest on their laurels, because credible challengers are coming in from every direction. The biggest reveal of the week, at least judging by the interest of Autoblog readers, was the Volvo XC40. Not only is the little 'ute a looker, it introduces some innovative new buying/leasing schemes designed to appeal to an audience accustomed to trading in and trading up every couple of years. Think of Volvo's flat-fee lease as you would a smartphone contract, and you'll be on the right track. Genesis looks to have a hit on its hands in the form of the G70 sport sedan. We took a Korean-spec model for a spin and found a lot to like about the upstart contender. We can't wait to sample one here in the United States to see how it stacks up against the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. In other news, we're still really excited to see a production Ford Ranger Raptor. But if you just can't wait for the official reveal — it's OK, neither can we — take a look at the renderings in our post down below. As always, tune in to Autoblog next week for a front-row seat to all the happenings worth following in the automotive industry. NHTSA and Ford investigating steering issues in Crown Vic, Grand Marquis and Marauder

Fri, 11 Jul 2014

There may be more steering woes for the Ford Crown Victoria. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened a preliminary evaluation into the Crown Vic and Mercury Grand Marquis from the 2004 to 2007 model years and the Mercury Marauder for the 2004 and 2005 model years because the steering shaft can jam. The issue could potentially affect an estimated 500,000 vehicles.
According to the regulator, there is a possibility that the driver's side heat shield for the exhaust manifold can rust, dislodge, and then wedge into the steering shaft. If this occurs, it leads to a situation where the driver can no longer control the car.
NHTSA has received five complaints of this happening, including one alleged case with an injury. In that situation, the car was driving onto the highway, lost control and rolled over. One occupant was hurt in the accident.

Coronavirus shakes up America's truck market: GM outselling Ford and Ram

Thu, Apr 2 2020

FCA, Ford and General Motors joined the rest of the U.S. auto industry in taking heavy volume hits due to coronavirus-related shortages of both cars and customers. The saying goes that a rising tide lifts all boats; it stands to reason, then, that a falling one would have the opposite effect.  However, as we learned Thursday, the automotive market can behave in unpredictable ways. While the F-Series remained the best-selling nameplate in Q1, GM's full-size trucks are now outselling Ford's again for the first time in years, and with this upward thrust from the General, FCA's Ram was unceremoniously booted out of a hard-earned second place.  While late-March sales declines hit just about every major automaker in one way or another, the model-by-model results weren't nearly so uniform. And because the market tends to be a zero-sum game, for every winner, there generally has to be a loser.  In this case, that winner was GM, and its rise had to come at the expense of another automaker, in this case, Ford. F-Series sales dropped 13.1 percent in the first quarter of 2020, while sales of GM's full-sized Silverado and Sierra surged nearly 28% in the same period. FCA's Ram lineup managed a steady-as-she-goes 7% increase. All-in, GM finished the quarter with 197,743 full-size trucks sold to Ford's 186,562. Here's the full breakdown: Ford F-Series: 186,562  Chevrolet Silverado*: 144,734 Ram P/U: 128,805 GMC Sierra: 53,009 *includes 1,036 Medium Duty sales Things are a but murkier in the midsize segment, where the Chevy Colorado slipped 36% to just 21,430 units sold — just a few hundred better than the slow-selling Ford Ranger's Q1 numbers. The GMC Canyon experienced an almost identical slide, finishing the quarter with just 4,483 units sold. For perspective, Jeep sold more than 15,000 Gladiators and Toyota's midsize Tacoma slipped less than 8%, finishing the quarter with nearly 54,000 sales.  We suspect this discrepancy in full- and mid-size truck sales comes from shifting incentives. Ford, GM and FCA would like to keep selling bigger trucks because there's far more profit margin built into their list prices. Even with tens of thousands of dollars in manufacturer money on the hood, big trucks still make money.  Since these automakers report quarterly, we won't get another good look at these numbers until July, but if you thought that 2019 represented the new normal for U.S. auto sales, well, think again.
