Great running truck! Will last for Years and years to come. Not uncommon for these motors to go well beyond 200,000 miles.
Like I stated above, It does have scratches and dings from its life as a work truck. All are very minor except the tailgate which does have larger exterior dents but is 100% functional. New pivot bushings just replaced for the tailgate as well as exterior mirrors, window cranks, and door sills. ALL factory OEM parts. Cooling system looked dirty so entire system flushed and good to go. Temp guage barely rises off the low mark. Appears the truck was originally equipped to run CNG judging by decals under the hood. All has been removed before i bought it. All glass is perfect. I put 3 tires at 75% and one at 35%. Does not have a spare. While it is a low/no optioned truck, this combination is best for the highest mpg a Ranger can get. Aquired from a neighbor who is into short wave radios. He had to buy a whole lot to get what he wanted which included this truck and another vehicle. I even have a copy of the original title from ASU. Shipping will be the buyers responsibility. |

How Ford secretly used customers to test its aluminum F-150 [w/video]
Fri, 30 May 2014Automakers getting clever about disguising development vehicles isn't anything new. Between mules wearing the sheetmetal of other cars and prototypes decked out in as much camouflage as is practical, automakers know how to make it very difficult for the general public to get an exact idea of what kind of vehicle is in development. Ford, though, is rapidly becoming the master.
We knew that the Blue Oval originally tested the durability of the aluminum construction being used for the 2015 F-150 by building an all-aluminum 2014 truck and entering it in the Baja 1000 off-road race. That's no longer a secret. What we didn't know, though, is that the aluminum development dates back to before even that, and that some of the people in question had no idea what it was they were working with.
Ford says this is the first time prototypes have ever been handed over to the public.
Ford 1.0L EcoBoost 3-Cylinder: Autoblog Technology of the Year award finalist
Wed, 19 Nov 2014As the old saying goes, "There's no replacement for displacement." But these days, many automakers are launching powerful, downsized engines that offer similar or better power output than their predecessors, all while offering improvements in fuel economy and emissions. These days, we're seeing automakers replacing eight-cylinder engines with turbocharged sixes, and the naturally aspirated six-cylinder motors are being phased out in favor of potent turbo fours. But Ford has gone even smaller, offering a three-cylinder, turbocharged engine with one single liter of displacement.
Sure, three-cylinder engines aren't anything new - they've been offered around the globe for ages. But Ford's EcoBoost 1.0L powerplant is perhaps the best application the Autoblog team has tested. Gone are the triple-cylinder complaints of yore - this engine doesn't sound anemic or buzzy, and there's healthy power output on tap. In fact, compared to the 1.6-liter inline-four that Ford also offers in the Fiesta, the 1.0-liter is more powerful, while boasting an impressive 45 miles per gallon on the highway.
This engine has already received numerous accolades, including winning the International Engine of the Year award in 2012, 2013 and 2014. The 1.0L EcoBoost will be available in the refreshed 2015 Ford Focus here in the US.
