SINGLE OWNER VEHICLE. THE PICTURES WERE TAKEN BEFORE WINTER SO A WAX AND POLISH WILL BE NEEDED TO RESTORE TO THE CONDITION IN THE PICTURES. NICE INSIDE.....GOOD USED TIRES.....NEW CLUTCH AND PRESSURE PLATE....MOTOR WAS REBIULT AT 210,000 MILES BUT HAS DEVELOPED A TICK WITH THE VALVES AFTER 6,000 MILES FOLLOWING REBUILD....DOESNT SMOKE.....THERE APPEARS TO BE A MISMATCH BETWEEN THE STARTER ANDS RING GEAR, POSSIBLY SHIMS NEEDED BEHIND FLYWHEEL.... ALTHOUGH GETS ON DOWN THE ROAD NOW WHEN STARTER ALIGNED, I WOULDNT RECOMMEND IT FOR LONG UNTIL VALVES CAN BE ADJUSTED......OVERALL THIS IS A NICE 1989 RANGER. THERE IS SLIGHT RUST AT THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL WELL. I WILL REPLACETHE HEADLINER IF IT DOESN'T SELL. I JUST DON'T HAVE THE TIME TO PUT INTO THE TRUCK RIGHT NOW WHICH IS WHY I AM SELLING IT. Chip Ganassi Racing switches to the Ford EcoBoost-powered Riley Daytona Prototype
Wed, 06 Nov 2013Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) announced yesterday at Ford's SEMA press conference that it will field a Ford-Riley Daytona Prototype with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 in the 2014 United SportsCar Championship (USCC). CGRFS is the second team to commit to the new Ford-Riley car, behind Michael Shank Racing (which has already used the racecar to break a 26-year-old top-speed record at Daytona International Speedway).
"Over the last 10 seasons we have been able to experience a great deal of success in Grand-Am," Chip Ganassi says, "and now with the dawn of the new United SportsCar Championship we feel that Ford power will be a key ingredient to writing the next chapter of our sports car program."
In the last Grand-Am season, CGRFS raced a BMW-Riley Daytona Prototype. The team has won seven Daytona Prototype championships, all in the past ten years. Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas return as the team's prototype co-drivers, and will attend their maiden race in the Ford-Riley at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January.

Ford Australia launches Falcon GT F 351, last of its line [w/video]
Sun, 15 Jun 2014It's always best to go out with a bang rather than a whimper, and Ford Performance Vehicles is doing just that in Australia with the Falcon GT F 351. It's the most powerful road car the Aussie performance brand has ever made with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 pumping out 471 horsepower (351 kilowatts) and 420 pound-feet of torque. It's joined by the FPV Pursuit Ute with the same powerplant tuned to 422 hp and 402 lb-ft. Sadly, the last F in this Falcon's name stands for Final.
The GT F 351 is a monumental way to go out, though. It harkens back to the old days of Aussie muscle Fords, and the 351kw output is meant to reference the classic Falcon GT and its 351-cubic-inch V8. In addition to the massive power, the F has the improved suspension from the R-Spec model and Brembo brake calipers.
FPV is building just 500 GT F sedans for Australia and 50 more for New Zealand, plus 120 Pursuit Utes. They feature a blacked-out hood and black stripes over the hood and sides, plus gloss black accents around the headlights, door handles and mirrors.
