Don't miss out on the chance to bid on this Extremely Rare 1969 Ranchero offered at a no reserve auction. Originally Raven black(one of only 203 black rancheros in any combo) with black interior, has optional rear gear, factory Tachometer, 4-speed, clock, hoodscoop, side trim, etc.. very well optioned.

This is one of only 67 rancheros built with the 300HP 351 4V engine coupled to a Top loader 4-speed transmission. It is Numbers matching and original drivetrain. My father bought this car in the mid 70's and passed it along to me a few years ago. It was purchased used by my father in Arizona and lived there up until 3 years ago when we brought it to The northern California area. It is as solid and straight as they come. No cancer, original floors and all sheet metal.  It was also a very rare Raven Black with black interior. It has had one repaint done in the early 80's and that's it. not full of filler, not dinged up. The bed is scratched up but very solid and was never used as a work truck or construction vehicle. Over the years a edelbrock intake and carb, MSD ignition, and headers were added along with a Hurst competition plus shifter. It currently has a brand new set of 17x8 and 17x10.5 deep lip Bullitt wheels with nice 315/4017 nitto drag radials on the rear. We are offering very nice original stock ford chrome GT wheels  with brand new tires as an option for the buyer if restomod is not the look desired. Pic of the alternate wheel choice is listed below. It is one or the other and is up to buyer that wins auction. Please let us know which set you would like it shipped with.

I own a restoration shop and we have been using it weekly for light shop use running errands and picking up supplies. It has never been restored, just maintenance items corrected and kept in good shape over the years.  We are trying to thin out our collection a bit to pursue other projects we would love to build. As with buying any old vehicle nothing is better than a personal or 3rd party inspection. We will make car avalible for any type of inspection bidder wishes.

Please take the time to read the included Marti Report and notice how well equipped it came and how original it still remains, A true rust free muscle car survivor.

We offer shipping and transportation arrangement worldwide and will be glad to work with overseas buyers. We do our absolute best to describe our cars we sell 100% correctly and if anything understate them a bit and verified by our feedback. We are not a dealer, these are cars from our personal collection. We take the time to answer any questions or help buyers in any way and we ask for the same from the buyers. We require a 1000 deposit within 24 hours. Full payment details can be found in the ebay ad. Vehicle is for sale locally and subject to sale prior to end of auction.

good luck and thanks for looking!!!

Ford talking unibody Ranger replacement

Mon, 18 Feb 2013

Now here's some welcome news. Car and Driver reports Ford is seriously mulling a replacement for the recently deceased Ranger, but the successor to the compact pickup's throne may not look anything like what we've seen from the nameplate in the past.
While speaking at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show, Doug Scott, marketing manager for Ford Trucks, said there's still a market for a smaller pickup, but that buyers expect to see a larger differentiation between the smaller utility vehicles and their full size counterparts in price, capability and fuel economy.
According to Scott, that means a vehicle with a payload capacity of around 1,000 pounds paired with a towing capacity of 3,000 pounds and "a dramatic reduction in fuel consumption." But the biggest piece of that recipe is the price tag, and Scott says to keep the MSRP far enough away from the already cheap F-150, the answer could come in the form of a unibody design. Scott says target customers in this market don't care whether the truck has a traditional frame or not, so long as it's tough enough to do the job and has the capability they need.

Ford will lay off 700 employees in Michigan

Fri, Apr 24 2015

Lagging sales of compact and electric cars are starting to take their toll on automakers. Ford said Thursday it intends to lay off 700 employees who work at the Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, MI, over the next five months. The plant makes Ford Focus and C-Max vehicles. Sales of both have stalled in recent months. The layoffs affect 675 hourly and 25 salaries employees, and will begin in late June and continue through September, according to paperwork filed with state officials. The company expects to re-hire the affected employees elsewhere and use them on temporary basis throughout the summer. Ford spokesperson Kristina Adamski said the affected employees will be "first in line" for other jobs at nearby plants, and UAW vice president Jimmy Settles said he expected all would be re-hired at other southeast Michigan factories by "early 2016." Although industry sales have remained high overall, the growth has come from SUVs and pickup trucks. Conversely, compact cars and alternate-powered vehicles like the C-Max have struggled to find customers amid cheap gasoline prices. Focus monthly sales fell 14.5 percent year over year in March, and C-Max monthly sales dropped 22.9 percent over the same period. It was less than three years ago that Ford hailed the Michigan Assembly Plant as a model for its future, one that would quickly adapt to market conditions through a more flexible assembly process. The plant was retrofitted at a cost of $550 million so that the same assembly line could install electric, plug-in hybrid or gasoline powertrains. Ford produces the Focus, Focus ST, Focus Electric, C-Max Hybrid and C-Max Energi here. At the time, company officials said the flexible line was a way to "not be trapped with dedicated one-trick-pony plants where you have under-capacity or over-capacity situations," said Jim Tetreault, Ford's vice president of North American manufacturing, in November 2012. But that's exactly where Ford finds itself as consumers have turned away from both compact and gas-sipping hybrids and electrics as gas prices have fallen to a national average of $2.49 per gallon, according to Thursday's AAA Fuel Gauge Report. One year ago, gas prices averaged $3.70 per gallon. In perhaps a melancholy twist, the Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator that were phased out at Michigan Assembly by the retrofit are once again the types of vehicles that are sought after by consumers.

Ford spotted testing new Fiesta RS hot hatch

Mon, Mar 16 2015

There's a lot to love about Focus ST and Fiesta ST, but if neither of those is enough for you, we've got good news: Ford has even more potent RS versions of both in the works. The Focus RS we already saw last month, but here we have our first spy shots of the smaller Fiesta RS undergoing testing. Spotted alongside still-camouflaged prototypes of its big brother, the new Ford Fiesta RS is wearing a modified front end, flared fenders packing a wider track and a revised rear-end. The beefed-up bodywork is all well and fine, but we're looking forward to finding out what's underneath it all. Sources point towards a 250-horsepower version of Dearborn's 1.6-liter EcoBoost turbo four, along with upgraded brakes and suspension. The big question, though, is whether the production Fiesta RS will pack the new performance all-wheel-drive system from its larger counterpart, or stick with front-drive and some sort of clever diff. It may be too early to tell, as this pocket rocket is likely a good year away from its debut, but in the meantime you can scope out the spy shots in the slideshow above for a taste of what's to come.
