1964 Ford Ranchero Futura on 2040-cars
Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
This 1964 Ford Ranchero has been completely restored. It comes from Texas and, originally, it was white exterior with red interior. This truck was stripped and, a pro shop hammered every dent to make a perfect body. It is finished in a high gloss black with a red touch on the side to match the red interior of the repaint dash. The stainless has been polished, the bumper rechromed by a Montreal shop and many accessories were replaced by new one. The under body was sandblast and repainted with special undercoat paint. ($30 000 has been invested in this full restoration). The engine is powered by a 289 V8 with dual exhaust. This is a 3 speed manual transmission, RWD. The interior is original with a bench seat, the carped has been replaced and it comes with new interior Ranchero floor mats. Additional equipment includes original factory A/C system. A chrome air cleaner breather is replacing the bleu air cleaner. I am selling my last classic car after 23 years in car show business. I just bought a farm and I will concentrate on my horses. Please feel free to ask any question and I have many pictures showing the restoration. |

A closer look at the 2015 Ford F-150
Thu, 16 Jan 2014Despite having to share Ford's Detroit Auto Show stand with the hot new 2015 Mustang, the brand-new F-150 was arguably an even more important debut. Why? Ford moved some 700,000 examples of its F-Series truck in 2012, making it not only the best-selling pickup truck, but the top-selling vehicle in the US, by a long-shot.
The 2015 F-150 raises the bar for pickup trucks in a big way, with big-time use of aluminum. Because of this, roughly 700 pounds have been removed from the truck's overall weight, making it even more efficient than before, while still offering all of the capability that pickup owners expect. And with a host of engines under the hood, including a new 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, the 2015 F-150 will surely offer something for everyone.
During the Detroit Auto Show, west coast editor Michael Harley took a closer look at the new F-150, talking to some of the truck's engineers. Have a look at the full video, below.

Watch a drone try to land in back of a moving 2015 Ford F-150 at night
Fri, Apr 3 2015Automotive stunts don't always have to make sense; they just have to look cool. Does it really prove anything about the bed lighting in the 2015 Ford F-150 to attempt to land a drone back there while driving at night? Probably not, but Ford Canada wants to find out anyway, because the trick looks good on film. Chris Bacik is an expert at flying drones and even builds his own to use for his aerial cinematography company. As Ford Canada's very serious narrator intones, the question now is whether he can use those piloting skills to land on a moving F-150 in the dark. To make things even harder, the night of the stunt is quite windy. Even if the video demonstrates little about the truck's capabilities, it's fun to see if Bacik can do accomplish the feat.
