For sale is a 1995 Ford Probe SE 2.0L with automatic transmission. The color is called Laser Red. The car comes with four extra wheels, three original OEM alloy wheels and one standard wheel with a good tire, for an additional spare. I bought this car in 1997 with 11,000 miles from a friend of my Dad's. I have been the only owner since. The engine has used synthetic oil since I bought it, and does not burn oil at all. The engine is in excellent shape. The transmission was replaced at 113,000, so it only has 41,000 miles on it and is in great shape. The engine and transmission and the car in general runs great, this car has been maintained at the dealer as per the suggested maintenance schedule, and has had all major parts replaced or serviced during its lifetime one or more times, including: New rotors, 3 tune ups w/t new plugs and injector cleaning, coolant flush and replaced hoses and all belts, transmission fluid change, timing belt and tensioner, MAF and speed and oxygen sensors, both front axles, both struts, manifold gasket, and various additional small repairs. This car has been maintained by the dealer only. The entire muffler section was replaced once, works fine has some rusting now. The pictures will show the condition of the interior and exterior, the exterior has some paint fading in a few areas, 2 light impact dents on the left side, otherwise in great shape. The headlights will come up sometimes, sometimes they wont and I have to hand crank them up. The gas gauge doesn't work, i use the trip odometer it will easily go 350 mile son a tank of gas, so I fill up when it hits 300. The drivers side window is fixed in the up position and cannot be lowered, the bracket that holds the window needs replacing. The engine light will occasionally come on for 10 seconds or so, then go off. The dealer said it shows "sporadic" codes, and is not a engine issue but a sensor that occasionally reads incorrectly, it has been this way for 6 years and the car runs great. The air bag light will occasionally blink too. The car has always passed missions testing. On the interior, the AC works great, all the environmental controls work great, the cruise control works great, horn, parking brake, radio all work great. Power locks and windows work great, except on drivers side window as mentioned before is fixed in up position. The spare tire is in great condition and holds air fine. The original "lug-nut key lock attachment" for tire-iron is included, along with original jack-stand. There is a special attachment lug-nut key on each tire, that prevents theft. Only the dealer can replace this key, so it is very valuable to have. Please e-mail with any questions. I am located on exit 31 on I-24, in Joelton TN. Cash, or cashiers check only for pymt. This is for local pick-up only I will not ship this car.

May 2016: FCA wins, Ford and GM stumble on weak car volumes
Wed, Jun 1 2016The May 2016 sales numbers are in, and it looks as though FCA is getting some vindication for boldly cancelling two slow-selling car models. Meanwhile, Ford saw overall sales dip and GM's May volume took a big dive versus the same month in 2015. While Marchionne's decision to axe the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart has drawn criticism as being short-sighted, it's working for FCA so far. Although the Dart and 200 aren't out of production yet and no capacity has been shifted to crossover or trucks, May's numbers show that the emphasis on Jeep and Ram models makes sense right now. FCA's US sales rose 1 percent last month compared to May 2015, putting the year-to-date total at 955,186 vehicles, an increase of 6 percent compared to the same period last year. Standouts included the Jeep Renegade, Compass, and Patriot, and the Fiat 500X. Ram pickup sales were down 3 percent. And your fun fact is that Alfa Romeo sales were up precisely 10 percent, for a total of 44 4Cs sold versus 40 in the same month last year. At FoMoCo, the Ford brand took a hit to the tune of 6.4 percent from May 2015 to 2016, registering 226,190 sales last month. Lincoln showed improvement on its modest numbers, going from 9,174 to 9,807, a 6.9 percent increase. Overall, Ford was down 5.9 percent for the month to 235,997; despite the slump, year-to-date total Ford sales are up 4.2 percent to 1,112,939. Strong sellers included Escape, Expedition, F-Series, and Transit - big stuff. Most small and/or efficient models (Fiesta, Focus, Fusion, C-Max) saw sales slides. Fusion sales were also down, likely due to effects of model changeover to the freshened 2017 model. Ford has promised four new crossovers and SUVs by 2020 and if things keep trending this way the company will be able to sell them, but things could change in the next four years. GM saw the worst of it for domestic brands. Retail and fleet sales were down for each of the four divisions, with the May 2016 total dropping 18 percent to 240,450 vehicles. GM's year-to-date sales are down 5.0 percent in 2016 to 1,183,705. Both the Sierra and Silverado were down significantly, and the majority of Chevy, Buick, GMC, and Cadillac nameplates saw sales decreases, with both small cars and larger utilities included. Not even big stuff could help GM this month, it seems. We'll have more on the rest of the industry's May sales as those figures trickle in.
2015 Ford F-150 configurator is ready to go to work
Thu, 25 Sep 2014Ford is inching towards the on-sale date for the eagerly anticipated, aluminum F-150 pickup. While we're preparing to drive the new truck (expect our take on it sooner rather than later), the best-seller has reached another, albeit more minor, milestone as its online configurator has officially been switched on.
We took to Ford's consumer website to mess about with it and see just how ridiculous of a truck we can build. Among the fun things we discovered were these two nuggets - the most expensive truck we could configure was not the top-end Platinum model, but instead the King Ranch, which rang up at $65,955. The other exciting discovery? The new truck would be available in a questionable shade called Blue Jeans (shown above with the optional contrasting Caribou paint). Yep, Blue Jeans.
You can head over to Ford's consumer page and build your very own aluminum F-150 now. Take a look.
Ford starting up 2.0L EcoBoost engine production in Ohio
Fri, 22 Feb 2013Joe Hinrichs, Ford's President of The Americas (pictured above), announced today that in late 2014, the automaker will be building the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder at its Cleveland Engine Plant, a move requiring a $200-million investment and the hiring of 450 new employees. European-built Ford products will continue to source this engine from the Valencia, Spain plant where all of these EcoBoost four-cylinder engines are currently built, and the new Cleveland engines will be used for all North American-made models.
Ford is planning to build its popular EcoBoost engines regionally to maximize production capacity and meet customer demand. Last year, Ford sold 334,364 vehicles with EcoBoost engines in the US alone, and that number is expected to swell to more than 500,000 by the end of this year, with global sales expected to total 1.6 million. By 2015, Ford says that 95 percent of its nameplates will offer an EcoBoost engine.
One such vehicle that could be adding an EcoBoost engine, according to Automotive News, is none other than the 2015 Ford Mustang. The report says that Ford could use either the 2.0-liter EcoBoost or an upcoming 2.3-liter EcoBoost in the sixth-generation pony car.
