You are bidding on a 2007 Ford F550 that is in great shape with 59,438 miles. The truck has been well maintained and has not been used commercially. It has been privately used to haul Broncos and other vehicles to and from shows since new. The truck has been used as a work truck and is not perfect. It has the normal wear for a truck of its age and miles. The paint is in great shape over all but has some small chips and a few small scratches. The interior is very clean and only has some wear on the drivers seat with the typical small signs of cracking in the leather. The bed has a bedliner but has been used to haul many things over the years. It has some dents in the floor from hauling heavy things and also a few chips in the lining but is still in good shape over all. The truck is loaded with tan leather and heated seats. It also has a factory 6 disc changer and intergrated trailer brake controller. We did the pickup conversion when it was bought new. It has a 40 gallon main fuel tank and we added a 34 gallon transferflow auxiliary tank that is controlled with one of the upfitter switches. The truck has rails for a Signature Series Reese hitch with a 30k gooseneck hitch and a 24k fifth wheel hitch new still in the box. We are dealers for Bulletproof Diesel and installed a full bulletproof kit on this truck shortly after the warranty was up. We also installed an Edge Insight to monitor all the important stuff including EGTs. The truck has a 4.88 limited slip rear differintal with 19.5 Alcoa wheels and Michelin tires. The front tires are about 70% and the rears are a little less than 50%. The truck will be great for someone pulling a hotshot trailer, large camper, or horse trailer etc. Buyer is responsible for shipping and will need to pay a $500 deposit via Paypal. Please call with any questions. Thanks Van (864) 983-2979 shop or (864) 871-0383 cell

Winnebago re-introduces classic Brave RV [w/video]
Fri, Jun 6 2014Winnebago is saying 'Let's do the time warp again,' using its new Brave RV to do it – have a look at the first Winnebago RV from 1966 and you'll know exactly where this one comes from. The modern version of this swinging sixties motorhome is accurate from its size, either 26- or 27-foot version, to its trademark eyebrow above the front windshield. The foldaway bunk above the front seats that necessitated the eyebrow design has been updated, and is now a power bed that descends from the ceiling. It is among a set of standard features that also includes a 19-foot motorized awning, leveling jacks at all four corners, heated mirrors, LED ceiling lights, two available floorplans and detailing like a workstation for the front passenger, a sliding dash cluster and and a waterfall countertop in the kitchen with built-in extensions. The Brave sits on a Ford F53 chassis complete with its Triton V10 engine and five-speed automatic transmission. No word yet on any potential diesel alternatives. Naturally, that 1966 price of $4,000 will also come in for an update, but the company hasn't yet revealed it. The good folks from Winnebago will be happy to take you on a thorough personal tour of the Brave in the video below. This content is hosted by a third party. Ford drops Focus RS teaser ahead of Feb 3 reveal
Wed, Jan 21 2015Ford is trying to get us hyped for the unveiling of the latest Focus RS on February 3 with this new video teaser. The clip showcases the hot hatch doing some big slides in the wet and dry during testing in Europe and the US, and it definitely makes us even more curious about what the Blue Oval has in store with the RS. Even in this short teaser, Ford continues to dress the more aggressive nose of the Focus RS in camouflage, like the previous test cars. Unfortunately, what's going on under all of that concealment remains a bit of a mystery. Rumors suggest the RS likely uses a tuned version of the Blue Oval's 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder estimated to make between 325 and 350 horsepower. A speculated torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system should keep fears of torque steer at bay, and larger brakes on the test mules indicate that bringing it all to a halt shouldn't be a problem, either. We do know that the hotter Focus will be among the "more than 12" vehicles that the new Ford Performance division will develop through 2020, and the RS will come to the US for the first time. However, US-spec RS models will likely be imported from Europe, which will keep numbers here low and will mean prices estimated to be around $30,000 or more. Until the official specs become available, at least enjoy watching this hot hatch's ability to slide.
Ford using robot drivers to test durability [w/video]
Sun, 16 Jun 2013In testing the durability of its upcoming fullsize Transit vans, Ford has begun using autonomous robotic technology to pilot vehicles through the punishing courses of its Michigan Proving Grounds test facility. The autonomous tech allows Ford to run more durability tests in a single day than it could with human drivers, as well as create even more challenging tests that wouldn't be safe to run with a human behind the wheel.
The technology being used was developed by Utah-based Autonomous Solutions, and isn't quite like the totally autonomous vehicles being developed by companies like Google and Audi for use out in the real world. Rather, Ford's autonomous test vehicles follow a pre-programmed course and their position is tracked via GPS and cameras that are being monitored from a central control room. Though the route is predetermined, the robotic control module operates the steering, acceleration and braking to keep the vehicle on course as it drives over broken concrete, cobblestones, metal grates, rough gravel, mud pits and oversize speed bumps.
Scroll down to watch the robotic drivers in action, though be warned that you're headed for disappointment if you expect to see a Centurion behind the wheel (nerd alert!). The setup looks more like a Mythbusters experiment than a scene from Battlestar Galactica.
