Shes the beauty and the beast all in one! However, I'm going to college out of state, so she needs to go. No reserve, so last bid gets it! Start buttering up your significant others now. Great condition with less than 23k miles. The engine runs, well, like an engine with only 23k miles on it. The oil pan and side covers were removed to clean out the dried grease and multiple other minor parts were replaced (hoses, plug wires, etc.) The clutch was replaced along with multiple other minor parts (throwout bearing, pilot bearing, etc.) I have receipts for the parts. The original 2sp rear axle was replaced by a single speed Dana 70HD, however the spring perches have yet to be welded on (to allow for pinion angle adjustment if you change the wheel base, motor, etc). The body is in awesome shape with virtually no rust and very minor dings here and there. I have not done anything with the brakes, so only the e-brake works at this time. The interior is very intact, windows/locks work, even has original tool box with tools! Ford hybrid sales rebound following MPG controversy

Ford hybrid customers apparently have very short memories. With two EPA fuel economy reratings in the last year, sales of the C-Max, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ haven't been too terribly dented, Ward's Auto reports.
All three vehicles saw sales dips following the August 2013 rerating, although sales of the MKZ Hybrid had begun to rebound as early as November of that year. C-Max sales, meanwhile, took slightly longer, with sales on a steadily improving course as early as February of this year.
The second rerating, in June of this year, has had an even smaller effect on the Blue Oval's hybrids. The C-Max has actually been subject to a sales increase, while both the MKZ and Fusion saw minor sales drops (less than 400 units between the two in the month following the rerating).

Ford partnering with MIT, Stanford on autonomous vehicle research

Ask any car engineer what's the biggest variable in achieving fuel economy targets, and he'll tell you "the driver." If one human can't understand human driving behavior enough to be certain about an innocuous number like miles per gallon, how is an autonomous car supposed to figure out what hundreds of other drivers are going to do in the course of a day? Ford has enlisted the help of Stanford and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to find out.
Starting with the automated Fusion Hybrid introduced in December, MIT will be developing algorithms that driverless cars can use to "predict actions of other vehicles and pedestrians" and objects within the three-dimensional map provided by its four LIDAR sensors.
The Stanford team will research how to extend the 'vision' of that LIDAR array beyond obstructions while driving, analogous to the way a driver uses the entire width of a lane to see what's ahead of a larger vehicle in front. Ford says it wants to "provide the vehicle with common sense" as part of its Blueprint for Mobility, preparing for an autonomous world from 2025 and beyond.
