Up for sale is my 1933 Ford pickup truck. The cab, bed, and grille shell are all original 33 Ford steel pieces. They are all very solid with any/all rust removed and patched. It has less than perfect bodywork but is very presentable as a "driver quality" hotrod. It has pitting and minor dents here and there but is overall pretty good. The cab has been chopped approx. 6 inches and channeled 4 inches. The bed has had the floor raised to accommodate the rear kick up in the frame. The grille has been sectioned 2 inches at the bottom to allow for better ground clearance. It is painted with a single stage flat burgundy enamel. The belt lines and firewall are painted with single stage satin black. The suspension/frame and wheels have all been painted with single stage satin black as well. The frame is original Ford Model A from the cowl forwards. From the cowl back is 2x3 box tubing. The frame is very strong and well built. Front suspension is a SuperBell 4" dropped I-beam axle with a Posies spring. Original 40 Ford split wishbones hold it in place. Hotrod style tube shocks hung from Ford F1 style shock/headlight mounts. 40 Ford front brakes with fresh wheel cylinders, springs, shoes, etc. Cross steer set up with a vega box. So-cal steering dampener. Handles very smooth. The front wheels are original 16" Ford spoke wheels with 600-16 bias ply tires. The rear wheels are original 18" Ford spoke wheels with 600-18 bias ply tires. All tires have tubes and are balanced well. Original 32 Ford truck center caps have been painted to match the wheels. Engine is a GM performance crate 350 small block chevy. It's the "Mexican" block which supposedly has the higher nickel content in the casting. RV cam. Vintage Offenhauser 3x2 intake with 3 freshly rebuilt Holley 94 2bbl carbs. They work off an Eelco progressive linkage. They are tuned very well and fire right up. Idles very smooth. There is an Edelbrock mechanical choke cable that runs to the dash but I have literally never used it. Homemade lakes style headers with internal baffles. They have been wrapped so you won't burn your leg off if you accidentally lean up against them after it's been running. Original Delco 12v generator was recently rebuilt and charges the new sealed battery located under the bed. The engine has 2317 trouble free miles since completion. Transmission is a 350Turbo. Shifts very smooth. New Lokar buttonless shifter with an old glass door knob for the shift knob. Rearend is an early GM g-body rear axle. It's located by a pair of hairpin radius rods and a panhard bar. A Posies 40 Ford rear spring gives it a smooth ride. The rear brakes are good. It has a lower gear ratio so very smooth/low RPM on the highway. Still plenty of get-up-and-go off the line. Engine is cooled by a 65 Mustang radiator that is copper/brass construction and is new. 12 gallon poly gas tank is in the rear of the bed. The truck has been professionally wired with a Speedway 12 circuit wiring harness. all wiring is hidden or loomed with a factory style loom so you don't see any of it. All running lights, headlights, turn signals, hazards, and brights work as they should. New Equus black face gauges. Water temp, oil pressure, speedo and odometer work. There is a working cigarette lighter in the dash for a cell phone charger. Original Guide 682c headlights. 33 Ford truck tail lights. New black automotive grade carpet was installed. Seat bottoms are from a 60's VW bug. The seat back is custom made for the truck. Very comfortable to ride in. I am 6'3" tall and fit okay. Steering wheel is a 13" mooneyes 3 spoke. Lokar throttle and brake pedals. Door handles work as they should. Working cowl vent and pop-out windshield with automotive safety glass, not plexi or lexan. There is a modified hand operated windshield wiper on the drivers side if you get caught in the rain. The bed sports a real wood bed floor and oak side rails that have been stained/finished very well. All in all this is a very well built hot rod truck that is meant to be driven. It is a fresh build and has not been shown or even pinstriped so it's your chance to finish it and show it/drive it as your own. It has been adult owned and maintained so it has not been beat on or mis-used. I have a clear Ohio title for it in my name. It is located approx. 25 miles north of Cincinnati Ohio. I will ship over seas after funds have cleared the bank. A $500 deposit is due within 48 hrs of auction ending. If you have less than a 10 positive feedback score, please contact me first prior to bidding. Please email me with any questions. I reserve the right to end this auction early as it is listed for sale locally. Thanks for looking!

Ward's reveals annual 10 Best Engines list for 2013
Thu, 13 Dec 2012Ward's Auto has released its annual 10 Best Engines award winners. The 2013 list covers the full width and breadth of the internal combustion spectrum, from a spate of efficient four-cylinders to the most powerful production V8 on the planet. As always, the entries must be available in a production vehicle in the first quarter of 2013 with an MSRP of less than $55,000. The supercharged 3.0-liter V6 from the Audi S5 held on for the fourth consecutive year, and BMW earned two spots on the list with its turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder and turbo 3.0-liter inline-six.
Ford pulled in two awards for its 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and and the supercharged 5.8-liter V8 from the Shelby GT500. Honda matched BMW and Ford with two wins of its own. Wards awarded the 2.4-liter four-cylinder from the Honda Accord Sport as well as the 3.5-liter V6 from the Honda Accord. Chrysler, General Motors and Subaru each garnered a spot on the list as well for the 3.6-liter V6 in the Ram 1500, the turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the Cadillac ATS and the 2.0-liter four-cylinder the Subaru BRZ, respectively. Toyo Tires will bring another wild catalog of rides to SEMA
Sun, Oct 27 2019Toyo Tires carts all kinds of toys to SEMA every year, the rubber company planning another 30 or so automotive exhibits this year in two locations. One of them, the Baja 911, comes with a pedigree not usually associated with the bewildering wares hawked at the Las Vegas show. TJ Russell was once lead fabricator for Singer Vehicle Design, now he's the head of Russell Built Fabrication in Sun Valley, CA. Sticking with the marque he knows well, Russell started with a 1991 Porsche Carrera 4 cabriolet, fitted the interior with a full roll cage, then built a hardtop around it to design a desert runner channeling the old Rothmans safari 911s. Underneath that bodywork lives a box-plate trailing arm suspension with 12 inches of travel, working 15-inch Fifteen52 FIA-approved Gravel wheels and 30-inch Toyo Open Country A/T II tires. Power comes from a purpose-built 3.8-liter air-cooled flat-six with about 350 horsepower — 100 hp more than stock — in a car that weighs 400 pounds less than the original. Oh, and as documented on Instagram with the tagline "All race outside, all business inside," the interior's full of quilted, cross-stitched leather, and Toyo says Russell's going to do a low-volume run of the Baja 911 starting early next year. ruffian-ford-mustang-sema-01 View 10 Photos Chris Ashton built a 1970 Ford Mustang Fastback called the Ruffian Mustang, inspired by the Trans Am Racing Series. The exterior changes are more subtle than one might think – the chin spoiler, hood scoop, and side mirrors are barely exaggerated versions of those on the original car, the intake vents astride the front lights and the steel bumpers teleported from 1970. Changes outside include de-chromed and flush-mounted glass, vented hood, front fenders that are dropped an inch, rear fender vents, dual side-exit pipes, and gargantuan fender flares over staggered Signature One wheels and Toyo Proxes 888 tires. The interior's fitted with a roll cage and race car workings. In spite of the Boss 427 badging, the engine's a 625-hp Chevrolet LS3 V8. button-built-ferrari-355-sema-01 View 13 Photos The Button Built Ferrari BB355TT picks up from last year's stanced BB328GTS widebody that gave many Internet denizens heart attacks. Laid up on a 1999 355 Berlinetta, the BB version appends a widebody kit designed Mitchell Button, rendered by Khyzyl Saleem and drenched in Azzuro la Plata, a color from Ferrari's Scagliette palette first used on a 1967 275GTB Le Mans racer.
2014 Ford F-150 gets CNG option
Wed, 31 Jul 2013Ford is toiling away, installing heavy-duty engine components into select 3.7-liter V6s to allow them to run on compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquid petroleum gas (LPG) in addition to gasoline. That's nothing new, but now, Ford has announced that it will offer the 2014 F-150 with this engine configuration, bringing the Blue Oval's total number of CNG/LPG-friendly vehicles up to eight. The F-150 will be the only half-ton pickup on the market that can run on these gases.
Ford will charge $315 per vehicle to equip the optional engine, but the trucks won't be ready to run on the alternative fuels straight from the factory and must be upfitted with additional equipment. A Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier will install a separate fuel system for the compressed gases at a cost of $7,500 to $9,500, depending on fuel tank size. With the right-size tank, the F-150 equipped with the CNG/LPG-prepped engine can go 750 miles on one tank of gas, according to Ford, averaging 23 miles per gallon.
The practice of offering flex-fuel vehicles is gaining momentum as businesses take advantage of cheap gas. CNG can be bought for $2.11/gallon on average (per gasoline equivalent), and sometimes for as little as $1.00 in some parts of the US, Ford states. "With the money saved using CNG, customers could start to see payback on their investment in as little as 24 to 36 months," says Jon Coleman, Ford's fleet sustainability and technology manager. The automaker expects to sell a total of 15,000 CNG/LPG-prepped vehicles in the 2014 model year.
