It does need work mostly cosmetics and paint. Do not expect to get in this and drive it home.It is an easy restoration needing paint and is in very solid condition."

This is a factory "A" Code 4 Speed GT car in Poppy Red. VIN # 5F07A692233 is clearly on the drivers side shock tower (see picture). The VIN plate is missing on the dash and drivers side door. It has a clear Delaware title under the previous owners name which I will be getting put in to my name sometime this week. The car was last tagged in 02 and has sat since then. We drained the gas tank, had the Holley single pump professionally rebuilt locally by Stinger Engines, new Autolite plugs installed, changed the oil and filter and put a new fuel filter in(canister type). It runs a little rough before it warms up but idles smoothly once warm.I never adjusted the points or put a dwell meter on it,just set the timing. It does not knock or smoke. The engine is stock with the exception it has a Holley 600 CFM Single pumper Carburetor with a low rise old school aluminum intake. There is also a Lakewood blow proof bell housing with stock cast iron exhaust manifolds and dual exhaust with the trumpets coming out the back.As far as I know the engine has never been apart and it still has the 65 style canister type fuel filter. The exhaust is quiet and there are no tapping lifters .The clutch has some travel before releasing but it is not slipping or chattering. It has the factory T Handle shifter and will drive down the road. It stops and steers and has the factory Kelsey Hayes 4 piston brakes up front. The car is very solid along with the frame rails and floors, shock towers, quarter panels both inside and out and the trunk floor. If you have restored one you know this is where the problem areas are. The right front fender is bubbled on the lower end (see picture) and should be replaced. There is also some surface rust under the rear window molding (see picture). The car looks great from 20 feet away, although it does need waxed and could use a paint job. There is a big scrape on the drivers side top fender and hood and part of the cowl panel where something must of fell on it (not dented). The wheels are rusty from sitting,I had to repair one flat tire and amazingly it had a original center cap not a repo. There is an extra styled steel wheel with tire in excellent condition in the trunk. Missing jack and hold down. The tires do hold air but have some cracking from age and should be replaced along with the wheels. The odometer reads 91,509 which I believe to be original since the title I had when last registered on 6/8/02 had 87,283 on it.The interior will need the carpet replaced since it is faded and torn. Also the drivers seat needs recovered. It has the deluxe wood grain 140 MPH speedometer and wood grain glove box. Standard seats and door panels with deluxe door handles.Aftermarket steering wheel (I have the original black wheel with horn ring included) and power steering. It has aftermarket seat belts and the back deck panel just below the rear window is cut and has aftermarket 6X9 speakers in it. There is a aftermarket Mustang cassette radio in it with some wires hanging from under the dash from the radio. I also have the original AM Radio included. Has the original Fog light switch under the dash (pictured). Will need some wiring work turn signals not working as well as some other things. This would be a very easy restoration on a very desireable solid car which is hard to find. Would make a great father son project. Once again this is a car that needs restored and needs mostly cosmetics such as outside door handles, gas cap, back up lamps that have pitting and are a easy fix. The bumpers are decent driver quality as well as the fog lamps that say fog on them and are not cracked. I put new tail light doors on with Ford part #s and one of the lenses is a little faded.E-Mail me with any questions before bidding or you can reach me on my cell at (302)222-5881.Please ask your wife ,husband partner or whoever before bidding and only bid if you have the money. We take our auctions seriosely and have a 100% feedback.A $500 pay-pal deposit is due 5 days after auction end with the balance being wired to our account within 10 days of auction end.We will provide you with a routing number and account number after auction ends. 2014 Holman & Moody 50th Anniversary TdF Ford Mustang

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

If you're a fan of Ford racing history, a Mustang worshiper or even just an avid follower of our yearly SEMA coverage, you may have heard the back story on the Race Red Mustang you see above. Back in 1964, Holman & Moody was tapped by the English Alan Mann Racing Team to race-prep three Mustangs for competition in the incredibly arduous 4,000-mile Tour de France Automobile rally. Competing mainly against Jaguar MkII saloons over 10 days and 17 stages, the H&M Mustangs took the top two places in the Touring class and the first-ever racing win for Ford's pony car.
Though the history of that first Mustang win hasn't been incredibly well known here in the States, the subsequent decades have seen plenty of racy versions of the car come and go. Last year at the SEMA show, we covered the brief debut of this living tribute to that piece of racing lore, the Holman & Moody 50th Anniversary TdF Mustang.
This limited-edition Mustang represents a kind of new venture for H&M, as the legendary racing shop has spent the last few decades earning its keep largely by restoring vintage racing cars. The urge to get back into the world of Ford and Mustang was powerful, however, what with the car's 50th anniversary looming and the current generation of 'Stang just about out the door.

2016 Ford Mustang GT bringing back hood turn signals

Sat, May 9 2015

The 2016 Ford Mustang is being teased again, this time with a short video. And what you're looking at here is a nod back to Mustangs of the 1960s. Ford is bringing back a hood with turn signals in the vents. In 1967, Ford offered an optional hood on the Mustang with two heat extraction vents that faced the windscreen. Inside those vents were amber turn signals, so, you know, drivers could see their own blinkers blinking. A novelty feature, sure, but a nice historical cue that Ford is bringing back for its updated 2016 'Stang. We also know that Ford will offer a California Special pack on the 2016 Mustang GT. Beyond that, we don't expect too many more changes, seeing as how the Mustang was just completely redesigned for 2015. Stay tuned for the full details on Monday, May 11. Related Video:
