2013 Ford Mustang Shelby Gt500 5.8l Conversion on 2040-cars

2013 FORD MUSTANG w/ 5.8L GT500 ENGINE
This 2013 Mustang started life as base Mustang V6 has been fully converted to Shelby GT500 specification with a
Ford Racing 5.8L engine upgrade. The conversion was done by me and my guys at Rehagen Racing with a little help
from some of my Ford friends. The primary donor vehicle was a very low mile 2012 GT500. The bulk of the wiring is
from the 2012 GT500 that was professionally modified to factory specs to work with the 2013 engine harness. It was
a very difficult challenge to make everything work as factory-intended. This was a top quality conversion with all
factory components. The mileage shown on the dash is the current mileage on the conversion and powertrain and
interior. It still has the "New Car Smell" (because it mostly sits in my garage at home). As mentioned, the body
is originally a 2013 Mustang V6 that now has 2013 GT500 bodywork (bumpers, grilles, spoiler, etc..) I added the
Shelby Super Snake hood because I had it... The brakes are the big 2013 GT500 brakes with 6-Piston Brembo
calipers, 15" front rotors, and 13" rear rotors. Suspension is 2012 GT500 Track Pack specification. The seats are
the standard GT500 power seats with red stripes from a 2012 GT500. I have the Recaro seats with the same stripes
in one of my other project cars (2010 Boss 302 with Glass roof and HIDs..).

Drive Ford's new Mustang in Need For Speed Rivals
Mon, 16 Dec 2013If waiting for the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang to hit dealerships is just too tall of an order, you'll be happy to hear that there is now an alternative means of getting behind the wheel of America's favorite pony car. The Mustang is making its video game debut in Need For Speed Rivals.
"We worked closely with the development team at EA to provide them with engineering data for the new Mustang, several months before we showed it to the rest of the world," said Ford product licensing manager Mark Bentley. "Computer design models enabled the game developers to create an accurate representation of the new Mustang before it goes on sale."
Players will have access to five unique designs for the Mustang, allowing a degree of individuality beyond solid colors and decals. According to Digital Marketing Manager Andrea Zuehlk of Ford, those designs are drawn from the four most popular designs on the Mustang Customizer, an online, mobile and tablet app that allows the public to design their own custom Mustang. A fifth design, penned by drift racer Vaughn Gittin, Jr., is also available.
2015 Ford S-Max adds all-wheel drive, adaptive steering
Fri, 03 Oct 2014The Blue Oval's 'One Ford' mantra has seen rapid commonization of the automaker's products across markets, but North America still has to look from afar at most of the company's Max-branded people movers, including this new S-Max. That's a bit of a shame - we like the space efficiency and above-average driving dynamics of the C-Max models we do get, but seeing this updated seven-seat small minivan makes us want the One Ford initiative to extend even further.
The new model's changes include an updated powertrain range including a 1.5-liter EcoBoost four with 158 horsepower, and a larger, 237-horsepower, 2.0-liter model, along with a pair of revised lower-emissions 2.0-liter diesels. The big news, however, is the advent of available all-wheel drive, something that hasn't been offered since the S-Max first went on sale back in 2006.
On the technology front, the S-Max is the first European model to receive Ford Adaptive Steering, a variable-ratio technology we recently sampled in a prototype Fusion that is expected to go into production on the next-generation Edge. The S-Max also receives a new aluminum-intensive integral link rear suspension, packaged to continue to fit up to 32 different seating combinations. Safety equipment is always a prime concern in kinschleppers like the S-Max, and to that end, this new model receives pre-collision assist technology and LED headlamps.
Barrett-Jackson 2014: First production 2015 Ford Mustang earns $300k for JDRF [w/video]
Sat, 18 Jan 2014We've almost become immune to the huge dollar amounts that collectible cars earn for charity at Barrett-Jackson. To wit, $300,000 for the first production 2015 Ford Mustang initially didn't seem like very much money. In reality, though, it's probably about 10 times the actual asking price for the car, and we're pleased to report that 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
According to Ford, the car's winning bidder will get to "choose a fastback with manual or automatic transmission, and any interior, exterior and stripe color combination offered by Ford on the all-new Mustang." Power will come from a slightly revised version of the well-known 5.0-liter V8 engine that will produce "more than 420hp and 396 pound-feet of torque."
We snapped live images of the 2015 Mustang prototype that Ford had on display here at Barrett-Jackson, and you can check them out above. The official auction description, along with a video of the auction as it happened live, is below.
