FANTASTIC DEAL - 2006 MUSTANG GT PREMIUM!! You must see this one to appreciate it. This is priced to sell quickly. My car has several upgrades. Starting with Shelby 20in wheels, high performance low-profile tires, the Shaker 1000 sound system (Ford's top of the line), an interior upgrade package, Active anti-theft system, and front seat side airbags.
The car is in good condition, and has been used primarily for freeway driving all over the state. It does have high miles (157,000 – and is priced accordingly according to book values), ran great up until the last couple of days. I'm told the engine will need some work, and may require a rebuilt or used engine (est $3,000, with 1 year warranty) with considerably less miles, or a new engine (est $4,500 - 5 year, 100,000 mile warranty). I have priced the car very aggressively to sell as is. If you would prefer I will have the engine put in, I will increase the cost by 90% of the cost of the repair/engine.
The body overall is in good to very good condition. Only 1-2 door dings (minor), a minor crack/blemish on the corner of the rear bumper. Front grille, radiator and lower facia molding was replaced this summer. Some minor blemishes on the front of the hood. The Shelby 20in wheels really make this car pop from the outside. The windows are tinted (you may choose to have the passenger & drivers window re-tinted (est$75). The interior is leather. The dashboard is in excellent condition, the drivers seat has some damage as a result of having the lumbar support replaced/repaired while under warranty, so the side bolster is torn/damaged. The seat has some signs of wear, but overall with a simple seat cover it looks good inside, with a strong sound system & bass speaker in the trunk.
Mechanically the car is quite sound, short of the current engine status. The transmission and rear-end seem to be in good condition.

New Ford dedicated hybrid due in 2018, will it fare better than C-Max?
Fri, Aug 22 2014Everyone likes to go after the champ. When it comes to fuel economy, that means taking on the Prius, which is something that automakers not named Toyota have been trying to do for years. Just because no one has been able to beat the Prius for fuel economy numbers isn't stopping them from trying. Hyundai was just caught with a potential Prius-fighter and now we have news that Ford is joining the party. Well, is going to join again. The last time Ford said it was going to challenge the Prius, it didn't go quite as planned. The C-Max hybrid was heavily hyped as a Prius-beater and was originally rated at 47 miles per gallon. Of course, it later needed to be recalculated to just 40 mpg and sales tanked. So, it's back to the Blue Oval drawing board, according to Automotive News, which is reporting that Ford is readying a brand new gas-electric hybrid due in 2018 as a 2019 model year vehicle. A plug-in version is in the works, too, and the car will reportedly share a platform with the upcoming next-gen Focus and Escape models. About those C-Max sales. They have not been stellar for the C-Max hybrid, which started strong but suffered when the reality of the lower fuel economy was realized. So far in 2014 (through the end of July), Ford has sold 11,685 gas-electric models and another 4,759 plug-in Energi versions. The trend for the standard C-Max is downward (from 20,125 during the same time frame in 2013) and upward for the plug-in version (2,915 in the first seven months of 2013).
Ford board pushing Mulally for decision amidst fears story is drowning out other news
Thu, 12 Dec 2013Automakers and their executives rarely like to divulge information regarding future goings on, but the board of directors at Ford sound like they're getting a little antsy about chief executive officer Alan Mulally and his plans for 2014.
According to Reuters, as news of Mulally's possible departure to Microsoft continues to swirl, Ford's board is looking to push the affable executive to make a decision about his future sooner rather than later. Apparently, the board is growing concerned that this will-he/won't-he drama may end up distracting the media from covering Ford's other big news events next year - items like the debut of key all-new products like the Mustang and F-150.
So far, the picture for Mulally's eventual successor remains fuzzy, but it's understood that the leading candidate remains the company's chief operating officer, Mark Fields. Just recently, we heard that Mulally will stay until the end of 2014, but a few months ago, Ford seemed open to the idea of him stepping down earlier than that.
Toyota sells six of 10 of hybrids in California
Wed, 31 Jul 2013In an apparent shot back at Ford's increasing market share of electrified vehicles and claim that it accepts more Prius trade-ins for its own hybrids than any other car, Toyota has flexed a muscle and played the numbers game to put the Blue Oval in its place.
Leaning on its hybrid market dominance in California, the Japanese automaker stated that six out of 10 hybrids sold in the Golden State are Toyota models. And it keeps coming: Year-to-date through May 2013, Toyota sold five times more hybrids than Ford. One of every two hybrids in California is a Prius model. In addition, Toyota notes that it has sold 1.5 million Prius vehicles in the US, 90-percent of which are still on the road today.
