You are viewing my 2000 Ford Mustang "Spring Edition" GT Convertible. This was a limited edition GT made only for 2000. I am confident in claiming that you will not find a cleaner, more well maintained 2000 Mustang anywhere. I purchased the car in 2006 with 8,900 miles. It now has 23K original miles. It has never been in an accident, never had a smoker in it, and never seen the rain. The car has always been garage kept, well maintained, and cleaned religiously. Other than the mods you see below I have left the car stock. This mostly applies to the interior with the exception of air/fuel & boost gauges. The stereo system was left stock.

I have made several upgrades to the car to increase power, handling, and appearance while keeping the car close to stock since the original lines are so great.

Power Mods - ProCharger P-1SC supercharger with intercooler. All the necessary mods were made to accommodate the s/c including a custom dyno tune from Big Daddy Performance in Lakewood, NJ. They're well known for over 30 yrs of Mustang work. The intake manifold, throttle body, MAF, injectors (42 lbs), spark plugs, and fuel pump were all upgraded to handle the s/c. The stock tune is saved on the SCT hand held tuner that comes with the car. The car was dynoed at 388 hp, and 413 ft-lb of torque at the wheels. Using a 15% loss for drivetrain it's about 456 hp & 485 ft-lb of torque at the crank. See the picture of the dyno sheet. All that fuel and air exits through a 3" SLP exhaust running from the stock exhaust manifolds back, including an x-pipe with high flow catalytic converters. It has a fantastic sound at idle and wide open throttle, but without that annoying drone on the highway. Finally, a Steeda short throw shifter and 3:73 gears in the rear tie it all together. This car is 100% street legal in NJ, which is one of the hardest states to pass emissions in. The car just passed inspection in March at the state facility and has a 2015 sticker.

Suspension Mods - Maximum Motorsports adjustable caster/camber plates. These allow you greater front end alignment adjustment from stock to improve turn in and overall handling. Steeda lowering springs drop the car 1.5" to bring the center of gravity down. Eibach performance front & rear sway bars and shocks & struts greatly improve the stability and tracking of the car. Finally, a shock tower brace and the factory sub frame connectors improve overall rigidity.

Appearance Mods - Mach 1 chin spoiler, CDC light bar, 19" chrome GT staggered wheels (9" front & 10" rear) with Sumitomo tires (245's front & 285's rear). GT floors mats and polished aluminum fluid caps under the hood top it off.

I have put a lot of love and care into this car - it's my baby. I want to move on to another Mustang though, so it's time to part ways. I am confident that this beauty will bring someone a lot of joy. There is nothing like cruising around in a pristine red Mustang with the top down and some tunes blaring. It looks great and it gets up and goes when you need it to. I am listing this car with a reserve set at the blue book value for a stock car of this description, mileage, and condition. Obviously, it's way better than stock. Feel free to email me with any questions. Good luck!

We spy the Ford Mustang King Cobra early at SEMA

Tue, 04 Nov 2014

As is the case with most auto shows, waiting for the reveal of hot new models is the worst part. So, while our own Drew Phillips has been wandering the halls here in Las Vegas since they unlocked the doors for SEMA 2014, we didn't expect him to come back with any big reveals until later in the day. Until this happened.
Meandering by the Ford stand, Phillips eagle-eyed a trunk lid that caught his attention. Popping out from an otherwise draped 2015 Mustang, the matte black lid clearly has the name King Cobra embossed on the rear.
That name is interesting for a few reasons: to start, Ford hasn't used the Cobra name (without "Jet" attached) since way back in 2004, so a new snake is certainly something to take note of. Second, the King Cobra name dates all the way back to the ill-remembered Mustang II, meaning there is a clear link to Blue Oval history here.

NHTSA opens investigation into Ford Explorer PI brakes

Wed, 27 Aug 2014

This year more than most, it's pleasant when we can string together a few days without word of an automaker or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announcing a bunch of new recalls. It's seemingly been a little quiet on this front lately (barring a spider-related Suzuki issue revealed early today), but now we have word of the government safety agency opening a Preliminary Evaluation into the 2013 Ford Explorer Police Interceptor, a probe that could potentially affect an estimated 20,000 vehicles.
The issue being investigated concerns failures of the front brake hose on the vehicle that show "small splits in the hoses near the body side ferrule of the hose assembly," according to the agency, and the issue could result in longer stopping distances. The feds have reports of 13 malfunctions affecting 11 Explorer units. However, it's important to note that all of the incidents come from a single, unnamed metropolitan police fleet that operates 46 of them. According to The Detroit News, the failures generally took place between December and July.
NHTSA is investigating further to find if this is a more widespread issue than just this one fleet. Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker confirmed to us, "We are cooperating with NHTSA on this investigation, as we always do." Scroll down to read the agency's report.

Chevy Camaro is a good sport, wishes Ford Mustang Happy 50th

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

It was 1966 when Chevrolet launched its challenger to the wildly successful Ford Mustang, the Camaro. While the competition between the two brands was already healthy, the arrival of the Camaro set off one of the most intense, model-to-model rivalries in the industry.
That competitive spirit hasn't stopped Chevy and the Camaro from wishing Ford's iconic muscle car a Happy 50th Birthday as the Ford's April 17 anniversary rolls around. These two cars have been linked over the years, and while the rivalry took a break for a few years in the 2000s, today's competition between the Camaro and Mustang is as fierce as it's ever been.
You might recall that this friendliness when it comes to major milestones isn't too rare. Ford put on quite a display for General Motors' hundredth anniversary back in 2008. As the Camaro's fiftieth birthday approaches in 2016, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Mustang sending its best wishes to its Bowtie rival.
